Congrats that’s a beauty. It was my first year out this year and unfortunately didn’t run into anything. Do you typically hunt the clearcuts pretty hard in the morning and afternoons? Most of my days I spent hiking down into the creek bottoms and would see signs that they’d been down there but they’d all be pretty old. Just curious as to what other hunters full day schedules look like
Early Morning I typically hunt the tops and clear cuts up high. The elk I was hunting were pretty consistent on the routines so it was easier than some elk all elk are different but yes typically hunt the deep thick timber and brush during the hottest time of the day and clear cuts and ridge tops Early mornings and evenings

Fuck ya. Nice buck man. Started watching your videos and subscribed after seeing your she's hunting videos. Badass that you have such a selection of animals there. All I have around me is elk, mule deer and blacktail cross. Would love to find a whitetail shed one day. I just gotta drive to do it, Is the part I can't seem to justify haha. What part of WA. State??!! I just hunted Idaho, on the border of Montana and that tag was impossible. Dog shit with no sign of elk. Got on a rag horn or 2 but could not get within shooting range. I guess I'll continue to practice at 70+yds.......Obviously the terrain was so tough we couldn't close 30yds...

No doubt the pack was heavy. But I saw what was left. You took (most of) the four legs and the back straps. Left the neck, ribs, organs (heart), and all the other bits, and carried it out on a pack that was already filled. Not trying to be a jerk, but respect the animals and you’ll get less negative comments.
And while we’re on the subject.. I re watched the video just to give you the benefit of the doubt, looks like three of the four quarters. I only see three feet. And don’t be mad at me, you chose to fill it and out it out for the world to comment. :/
@@michaelburke3655 I had the 3 quarters on the pack frame..... a shoulder without the foot on it in the camo backpack along with the backstraps tenderloins and the heart . But yea there was some neck meat left behind and rib meat anythithat was bloodshot I didn't grab but i dont have to tell you that sure you seen it bud ..😎
If that’s the case, I would consider that pretty fair to the animal then. I do like the channel, and love watching peoples hunting adventures. If your posting shit, don’t be shocked if folks like me start questions things that look questionable. We’re all here because we love these critters and want to protect…and eat them.
