How To Land Your First Client
I remember the anxiety I felt when I first opened up my photography services for business. I wasn't completely sure of how to find my clients, where to find them, or how to entice them. What I eventually learned is that I needed to do everything I possibly could to be heard--I needed to put my name out there so that potential clients could see me! In this video, I put together a few tips on how to put your business out in to the world in order to land your first (of many) client.

Why and How to Decline a Client
มุมมอง 2.2K4 ปีที่แล้ว
During the beginning of my professional photography career, one of the hardest things to say to a client was, "No." I know it's so tempting to take on every client that comes your way. Trust me, I've been there. But you'll come to a point in your photography career (or any business for that matter) where meeting every demand will drain your resources, time, experience, and overall quality of th...

How to Photograph in Natural Lighting

Understanding the Rule of Thirds
มุมมอง 6444 ปีที่แล้ว
In today's video I'm talking about the Rule of Thirds. This is one of the first photography concepts that I learned when I picked up photography and I still apply it to my work today. The rule of thirds allows you to play with harmony, balance, and composition while visually telling your story the way you see it through your eyes. Hope this video encourages you to try it out! Remember, you'll o...

I have a problem with starting a home portrait business doing environmental portraits out doors or in public venues.. I live in a very small studio apartment that isn't suitable for meeting clients. So, there is a problem with the initial consultation, but I can get past that. But the sales meeting after the shoot is something I haven't been able to figure out. Billing isn't a problem. I can do that with my web site and in person with Square card readers. However, I haven't figured out where to meet clients after the photos are edited for the sales meeting. I can't afford an office. Any ideas?
