Continue loving the work. If a customer purchased this kit with the G30-770 would you be able to comfortably tune it with 11 psi on 98 so long as injectors are installed?

Be mindful of the same transmission in the gen1. 300ftlbs the gears start to disappear. Lets develop some transmission swaps to hold the power since that is the weakest link.

I have the delicious tuning flex fuel kit in USA and I love it!
Hey mate. Just bought the 2.4L kit from SME including over pipe and front pipe and oil cooler. It’s being installed in about 2-3 weeks with other additional mods. Let’s just say it’s not cheap, spent about 18k. Anyways, I wanted to get your thoughts on daily driving a 22 BRZ with the sme turbo kit on it. Not going to lie I’m very scared I’m turning this into a bomb however I am getting the right people to install and tune this (the86shop) so fingers crossed I’m fine.
well I'm not an expert or the guy in the video, and this is only my opinion, but I would recommend not to daily it. Since it's so much easier to just buy a used Camry for a few $k and daily that, and keep the BRZ for weekend / special use (like what modded cars should be used for). That way you won't be stressing, and you'll enjoy it that much more when you do drive it. You'll effectively extend the life of the car by x5 also. A modded car will never be as reliable as a stock car for daily use either, that is just how it goes. If you must daily it, then get low boost / tune setup, and do not use E85. This video is my reasoning to not use E85 for daily. But again it might not apply to your situation. th-cam.com/video/bPcVBc4-5Mk/w-d-xo.html I mention it though since daily's do lots of short trips (to gym, to shops to pick up milk, or you work nearby, etc), so it seems inevitable in a daily. Anyhow, I'm sure others will say other things, maybe even the opposite. So it'll be interesting to hear what others think.
It's horses for courses. E85 isn't great if the car is never getting upto proper operating temperature. There's nothing "Unreliable" as such about dailying an 86/BRZ with forced induction, we have hundreds of customers that do that!
As they say, buy once cry once! We've done 6 of these cars now, most of which are daily drivers and have been faultless so far. A good tune and supporting mods is key and it looks like you're heading in the right direction going and seeing Andrew and his team!

I spent around 18.5k including everything on my build. Same kit
Straight cut for only 400 hp damn that's a weak gear
But running a 13.7-13.9 these days is just kinda slow. These are great track cars but not drag strip cars
My 2023 BRZ is close to having the first Sprintex supercharger in it (second gen). It will be the first positive displacement BRZ, not just in Perth or Australia, but I've been told the world. :) Sweet!

Any updates on the supercharger?
I absolutely do not understand these dynos. Factory says 280 HP and 392Nm. Other well known tuners from Germany(Klassen motors and Race chip) have videos on YT, showing stock measurements of 305-308 HP and 460 Nm. And much more after their tuning process. Yet you talk about 180 kW stock. How weird is that?
In australia we tend to focus on the power at the tyres. A lot of places in europe guess what they are making at the engine

Can I ask why not swap a fa24 turbo engine out of the WRX? What would be the possible problems that would arise

Does E85 need a fuel pump upgrade as well?
So far, no. The standard fuel pump and rails have supported 12psi on E85 which equate to 350kw and 550NM. Anymore than that will require a full fuel system.
If this guy is doing track work he may want to look into getting his sump custom baffled to survive right hand bends under G's . It's been proven they starve of oil when sending it in right corners , if you don't believe me check out the video some guy's did on the issue before old mate comes back with spun big end shell's and out of spec turbo clearances blaming you for the failure.
Our SME turbo kits include a larger capacity sump with baffling installed.
Meanwhile brz and gr86's on the track are getting their engine blown.. anyone here who works on them got something for it?

Whoever puts a turbo on their gr86 doesnt deserve to have one.A supercharger on the other hand would make the gr86 probably the best sports car today
Superchargers proved to be fairly inefficient on the 2L, what makes you think it will be any different on the 2.4? Modern day turbos have very little lag and turbo setups produce far more torque and power than supercharger setups with less strain on the motor. Whats not to like?
@@kresnik_ss That is simply untrue... Boost on a modern ball bearing turbo with efficient wheels on a high comp engine does not come on late like a freight train like a 90's journal bearing turbo would. With electronic boost control we can ramp the boost in by RPM too so we can literally bring the boost and torque in like a supercharger, not convince why you would want that though. If you're et on supercharging w can also supply, fit and tune Harrop supercharger kits :)

Where did people find out about the octane learning? Where does it explain how to do octane learning? The fact there’s no confirmation it’s successful and that it requires such a process makes me feel it’s a dealer specific function so they can do region specific tuning.
For ppl that are intrested thats about 320hp and 300 tq to the wheels
