The devs supported this game way past my expectations. It is now a massive game with huge amounts of replay ability. I’m sad, but also very pleased I backed this all those years ago.
To be honest, I was late jumping into the game, but I've been thoroughly enjoying it and will continue to do so. The ARPG scene needs more like it for sure and it's definitely a bummer to see it ending.

Grimdawn isn't done it will live on through the community and mods that they create. On the brightside I do look forward to whatever crate are working on next!
@@jeez8888 the screenshots look atmospheric, but there is no information I can find on how they intend to differentiate it from other town builders and add some depth and complexity to the genre. I was wondering if they might be prototyping a new engine that could later be used for gd2 :).
GD is my favorite ARPG and sure one of if not the best out there and IMHO a true successor to D2 . Will keep playing it for a very long time sins i'm also still playing D2 . 🍺
oh, for sure! I really can't imagine a future where im not playing grim dawn, it just feels wierd that there's not going to be any more content patches to look forward to.

One day we might get a sequel that as just as good, if the dev keep the same attitude in developing their games.
I'll take my time with the base game and then jump to RoT. After all that it'll probably be close to Last Epoch's multiplayer release, and then I'll jump into that. Hyped with all this content!
Yeah, it's fun marching about with a skeleton army while your familiar delivers AoE stuns via lightning bolts. Thankfully with Devotion support the pets don't wilt at the first sign of trouble as they might in other games.
grim dawn is complex, very good and need time to understand skills attack with debuffs and some group control. And needs a good time to grind....6 chars lvl 100 in 3 years.
Mortar Trap was a decent one point devotion proccer, but it was better than other options for boss fights due to the set and forget nature of it. Maybe they see that as an issue in SR? Would explain why it got buffed for the people using it as a damage source, you don't take Big One otherwise.
Im a lvl 46 death knight playing as we speak on veteran for my first run. This game is so awesome. Going to do a all pet build next any suggestions? Gotta have necromancer.

From the sounds of the pet builds, it might be an indirect nerf via skill points. If we suddenly want to max our pet skills, not just soft cap or hit a breakpoint, it'll cost a few points in most builds. I doubt it'd be more than say, five skill points, but it'd be a bit of a bit regardless. Enough to force us to either lose a bit of damage, pet health, or our own survivability.... Which is what's needed, really. Pet builds get through higher shards, but they get precarious at the top end. A minor shift will topple them, when combined with the SR changes.
started Streaming this game and it has done wonders for Dames of this type and I've been loving it and So much replay ability and it does not get enough love
The boss aggro change has lowered the difficulty dramatically. Having 3 nemesis mobs and an elite whose immune to life leach sometimes for some reason all rush me at the far end of the map was torture. Not to mention how the +70% hp modifier seems to be attracted to me.
hey uncle. now that this will be the final patch of GD will you still be making videos about builds and tips on the game? this is my first arpg and i dont know if i will enjoy the other arpg titles.

A little bit?? Prismatic diamond is gone now with 60 sec CD. Retaliation got nerfed a good thing? Well screw you, it's not an MMORPG stop fixing things out i can't even play multiplayer with those who wanted to stay on a previous build. Titan Quest atleast allowed that if you were on the same version. I invested a long time to see that my three main chars got nerfed as a cheerful goodby patch. And bloody steam does not even let me to stay on old build. They did fix retaliation few times over before including relics, skills, devotions and items. And every time it was "'cmon it's for a ballance". They did not touch crappy devotions, went straight up for best ones. War Messenger, Obelisk of Menhir. And now Targo's anvil. Bloody first tier got fixed. And off course i see counter strike nerfed. I had to spend a lot of time to get it to 26th lvl and all the other important skills, regeneration to 10k/s, resist overcaps, rare resist. I was hunting for +1% extra melee resist on a better item rolls. Dreeg set nerfed now too. "Hm, we need more variety of retaliation builds.. let's do acid. But acid is kinda weak. Ok let's nerf some retaliation items and buff a two handed acid sword. We can nerf Soldier. Not Oathkeeper off course, lets keep him OP" I don't know about pets i don't see them is SR90+ MP but they were watching your success as a retaliation tank throughout your fun and they were angry and fixed it one more time where it hurts more. Downvoted this patch.

I discovered grim dawn through a friend on a steam sale. Bought the game, loved it so much after playing for an hour i bought all the dlc the same day. Very excited with where the company goes next, but I will always enjoy loading up a game to curbstomp some bosses :D
I would say this depends whole heartedly on what it is you want out of a game. If you're looking for an ever shifting game space, competitive ladderiong with solid gameplay, PoE is where you should go. If you're looking for a finished single player ARPG with nearly unlimited options as far as building and customizing your character, grim dawn is the game for you.

Stay a while, and…come along on our next adventure!" - Zantai Meant to me that 1.1.9.x was going to be the last major update to grim dawn. It wasn't explicitly said, but it's pretty well understood. I'd be stoked if I'm wrong, but im 99.999999% sure that i am not.

It's been an amazing game to find. I started less than a year ago and have around 700 hrs in, feels like I just started.

As of yesterday servers have so many people playing. Me and my brother are playing a game together on veteran. Its so much fun coop.
it's great. The end game just couldn't keep me around. I did LOVE primal strike shaman though.

Grim dawn is definitely a rare game that succeeds on so many levels.
