I want to do this when I get enough Christmas books! Still collecting a few a year now.

I did this last year for my little guy. He LOVED it and all year long has asked if we will be doing that again. Money is tight and many of our books were thrifted. I just keep any eye out throughout the year and picked up different Christmas books as I found them. Many of the books you showed, are ones we read! Enjoy!

24 BOOK COUNTDOWN! 🎄🎄🎄 I've never done this before but with a busy season ahead, I thought this Christmas countdown would press the PAUSE button each day for 15 minutes to read together! ❤️ This is our first year! So a few of our books our wintery and perhaps twaddle 🤭 but as a thrifting Mama we will add to our collection from those library sales! 😉 they're wrapped and ready, the kids are excited! 😌😌 I LOVE Christmas! Don't you!? Have you done this before? What's your favorite book? I'll make a list on my phone and keep an eye out for it this year! 🎄📚🙌🏻

Could you do secret sibling on boxing day? Split up but meet together for lunch or supper in a nice restaurant. I love gifts that I can build onto at birthdays and next Christmas. Yoto player-accessories and cards, play couch-so many pieces to add, tiny kitchen- food and so many others. You get the point. This year im getting makedo tools that are safe tools for cutting cardboard and a little kid tool belt.

We are giving makedo tools and a real tool belt for my very boy toddler.

Great haul! Our libraries just had book sales (I live near a border city, so one in each small city). I bought a lot of classics and they were having bag sales, stuff a bag for $5.

I love Azure. Just got a haul Monday. We don’t have a Costco close to us. My staples are their coconut oil, artisan bakers flour, dry beans, rice, salt, vanilla extract, cane sugar and I’ve ordered some spices. Just got a taco seasoning blend to try for the first time this month.

Nice haul! I love Azure; wheat berries and honey are two of my favs. Cute kiddo in the background, and so well behaved.

Also, with our book of centuries, my Y4 keeps it close at hand during his history, science, and biography readings. He jots things down as he goes along. My Y5 does the same with hers. Hope that helps!

My youngest is Y4, for George Washington's world I have him read one story each day for 5 days that week.

Your children are so intelligent and it truly gives me the reaffirmation I needed to try Ambleside out!! I have been using the good and the beautiful for the last four years and it just feels like even though it had a spiral approach to it, my kids were not necessarily grasping grammar and to have a love for reading. Plus the language arts portion of it is so redundant that I myself have a hard time understanding the importance of most lessons lol. I’m going to look into the Using Language Well. I have been looking into Math U see but I wanted to ask you if by any chance you have ever looked into the curriculum Truth and Beauty for math??? it has a lot of of the Charlotte Mason approach that is similar to me in the way that Ambleside incorporates the classic approach with LA. I sort of just threw myself at it to start this week 😂 I really enjoy the Charlotte Mason method, but I’m very loose with it still. So it’s always really great seeing how other people do their homeschool! Especially with multiple kids.

I love the beauty boost and balance. I use it with the ningxia and ningxia greens plus sometimes I throw in mindwise and aminowise 😊

PEPPER JELLY 🌶 Sooo many peppers this year 🤭 so my Mom suggested making pepper jelly for Christmas gifts paired with cheese and crackers - best holiday treat, right? 😋 After we looked up other ways to use it... we made more! 😄 2 hours later we had 24 1/2 pints and 4 pints! Yum!! We followed the recipe from the #pomonapectin website :) except the last few batches I added more HOT peppers 🔥 It's literally sugar, vinegar, peppers and pectin 🙃 A few more ways to use this pantry staple! 😌👌🏻 • Glaze on vegetables • Glaze on meats such as ham and pork chops • Glaze on chicken wings and meatballs • Glaze on fish such as salmon • Topping for cheese and crackers including goat cheese, smoked cheddar and brie as an appetizer • Mix pepper jelly with cream cheese for a dip • Used as a spread to compliment a sandwich or hamburger • On an egg, ham and cheese sandwich • Spread on turkey slices with goat cheese, roll-up, chill and serve as an appetizer • On egg bagels with cream cheese. • With peanut butter on a cracker or toast • Melt, mix with vinegar and use as a salad dressing • On thumbprint cookies • As a BBQ Sauce/Glaze on chicken and ribs • Mix with plain yogurt • Serve with a bread basket Easy way to put together a meal or snack! Any other ideas!? Save this to try!

Lots of good books! I want to try Thomas Hardy soon. I just finished The Woman in White, which was excellent, and I want to read more by Wilkie Collins. I am re-reading Harry Potter right now, it is an excellent series. I remember the negative comments about Harry Potter when I was a kid. My mom chose to read them herself to see about the content and found it was unwarranted and then encouraged other parents to do the same.

What could you use if baking soda irritates your skin?

We just started reading Frankenstein in class lol

We did a Children's History of the world on audible as we drove around in the car. I loved it that way hearing someone else read it that was great with the voices really made the story come more alive. I don't know if you have the option to try and do that but it works better for us.

Anyone else frustrated by the inflation of groceries? 😏 yeah... me too. I save a lot of money with making my own household and personal care products and am always willing to share my favorites!
