Urban Exploring Minnesota - Desolate century old schoolhouse (S6-EIV)
In this episode, Mickey Nixon Films, FM, and Isaiah explore a sizable and historic schoolhouse in a fairly isolated rural area of Minnesota. During the exploration, the group uncover several vintage items and antiques and bear witness to beautiful long-dead architectural styles used in the construction of this school. Thankfully nothing went awry with this exploration, and it was a rather mundane and relaxing experience.

Address?
Been watching on and off from northern/central MN for years. Wish I either lived closer to Duluth or the Twin Cities for all the locations the state has to offer before they’re lost to time
Super cool video. My friends and I were urban explorers before that was a thing. We used to explore tunnels, an abandoned meat processing plant, a high school and another location I’m not comfortable admitting we went into. This was St. Paul in the 80s/90s. This was the rule we came up with: we can’t break anything, we can’t steal anything and once we leave, we try to remove all traces that we were there. The idea was that other kids would get the same idea we had and we wanted them to get the chance to have the same adventure we had. I’m really glad we had these rules because the one time we got caught by the police, all we got was a trespassing charge. The entrance to the tunnel you showed looked familiar, but I don’t recall if we were ever in that one. It definitely wasn’t called candyman cave back then. Keep up the good work, be safe, have fun.
You all need a copy of the Holy Scriptures, and some serious prayer, around these places. Also, once the demons/ghosts are removed from the place, you could get the land, and property, for cheap, and then make a nice mansion for yourselves there.
@@paxhumana2015 😂
What is it with Americans and the need to graffiti everywhere, sure we get it in Europe as well but it seems more prevalent on your side of the pond
Climb to the top of the bluff there. Its exciting.
Here’s a translation of the phrases you provided from Lakota to English: Phrase 1: “TUNKA’ SINA YAPI TAWABAHA KI TE’ WAHIDA NAH BDE’HE MICI’YEDO HA ‘YEAH-YEAH-YOH” • Translation: The spirit stone’s blanket was spread out, and I will follow after it until the end, oh yeah-yeah-yo. Phrase 2: “TUNKA ‘SINA YAPI TAWABAHA KI MAKA I’HANKE SNI HE’HAN NAZIN KTE DO HA ‘YEAH-YEAH-YOH” • Translation: The spirit stone’s blanket will never reach the end of the earth, but I will stand firm, oh yeah-yeah-yo. This seems to be a spiritual or ceremonial phrase, with references to sacred objects like the “Tunka” (grandfather stone or sacred stone) and themes of endurance and connection to the earth. The repetition of “yeah-yeah-yo” likely reflects a chant or song element. 22:33
I always thought this was Hydroelectric dam powered system. using the Old Miss.

hell yeah wu tang clan!!
super dangerous, but awesome, if you hear 3 metallic bangs then run. if you hear singular thuds it’s cars on manholes on the street and ur good

I cried so much that day
@@staceyoliver2779 We're very sorry for your loss. It was a truly horrific tragedy.
I used to drill with the 205th in those old buildings. I took a military tour of them in the early 80's when they were still being kept in case they needed them again. We were told during the tour that they produced small arms ammo during the Viet Nam war. The machinery was coated with cosmoline. The guide said it would take longer to recalibrate all of the tools than it had taken to originally open the plant. It looks like all of the production line has been removed.
The rubble is the parking ramp from Abbott hospital
Mushroom caves
About 1950 went on a grade school tour of this assembly. Dug sand for windows out of tunnels under the plant.
my mom used to go into these caves with her brothers back in the 80's. She's told me so many stories about this place. Couple years ago a classmate of mine ventured in with some friends with gopros and got some crazy footage but had to leave as someone else was in there following them, staying to the shadows. Creepy af.
The music isn't to bad
Can't watch makes me dizzy and nauseous!
I was on the river nearing downtown st. paul yesterday. I passed a drain outlet that was massive and it was pouring out fast-moving, COOL, subterranean-cooled air. A companion mentioned an underground helix system, and I believe it may be connected to this drain. Do you have any idea if this drain terminates at the Mississippi heading downstream a bit before harriet island? I could see graffiti inside of it from my Kayak's vantage point, but it seemed like folks wouldn't be entering it from the river. Anyway, I'm too old/scared to do this myself, but I was just curious if i stumbled on the drain yesterday while on the river.
there are usually bums and junkies there. born in 84 I have been there a few times.
went down one of these caves a week before city shut it down kinda of a bummer but the air quality was horrendous and so foggy that you couldn't see 30 ft in front of you
10:30 went there today that suitcase is still there lol just more tattered. Lot of the graffiti is more faded cause of the sandstone walls now. Lot more trash too🙁
Holy shit dude thats wild. Been sucha long time yall are legends, lucky to have met yall in the caves.
Great content guys hope to see more again . Would like to know wear this was ?
How do i get there?
Im from Eagan and we were at those caves every other weekend. Some kids from Burnsville died in there. They had a fire and lost oxygen. Only 1 out of 5 made it by crawling out. Super sad
Damn the amount of tags that are there compared to 15 years ago is absolutely Savage
Finding a channel when it ends got to be hardest thing ever 😭
let me know if you did
its the abandoned one in osceola wisconsin go by the main entrance if you see the big broken window go in then go the barely dark area on the left when you see the door that says bathroom and its pretty clean on the floor
lighting a flare in a sewer is just plain out stupid!
Demon at 24:41
We used to drop acid in those caves back in the late 80s. We would turn off all the flashlights and sit in complete darkness and laugh. We met a lot of other weirdos in there too. Although some of it looks a little different, much of it is just as i remember. There were some other caves called the battle creek caves. Those caves had roving gangs of violent skinheads. Bad news
The echo is cancelled at the harmonic node in the tunnel. Cool!
I remember being in that cave and others over 40 years ago, trying to go thru the top of one of them I fell about 50ft onto a pile of rocks someone thru down the hole, my left ankle hit 1st so it broke, rocks cut my back open & back of my head, knocked the wind out of my as well.
Must’ve been quite scary and painful in the moment
@@MissnMN it was!
Used to party with some buddies up top, drinking, smoking. Yeah I know, very smart. One time at 1am, some cops came and hit us with their spotlight. They told us to come down or they would send dogs in. We laughed and just yelled "No." Kept drinking our beer, and the cops left after sitting for 10 minutes 😂
so many sealed entrances now :/
Yeah I walked by 3 before finding one the city missed
@@xen250 y r there so many bikes cemented in there
Mainly one has to keep head on a swivel when in bear country. Be nice to have tranquilizer gun 😅
What was that tower at the 0.50 mark.
I was running the railroad tracks at the time these where working and starting to shut down in the 1990-2010 era I been in a lot of these as they came up like this. I know this one. Cool great memories from a place I kinda miss.
I remember going in those caves in the early nineties with one of my friends. The rubble that is being crawled over, are actually the remnants of the old high bridge. that they blew up in 1986 and then built the new one. They just shoved all the debris inside. Back when I was in there you could still see the road stripe on the underside of some of the rubble.
Cool lore
I know a girl who fell in here and broke her leg
Very cool guys, I remember going to these caves back when I was a kid and they fun by the time we moved out of the state they had started filling them in, I’m not sure but I think I remember some people built a huge bonfire in one of the bigger ones and it caused part of the ceiling to crush a few people and that’s when the city started shutting them off
Take off the masks you candy asses....do you walk around with it tucked in between your legs too ?
Audio sucks.
