Anoka has an old assylum. A lot of buildings are closed off and they cemented a wall near the river or lake behind it all that used to have tunnels I believe.
My dude, you literally captured the building crumbling down! That was crazy when it happened, you could hear the collapse. Poof, I could picture the asbestos dusk rising up from the rubble lol :) Awesome vid my good man, that was an excellent explore!
That one house is indeed like a time capsule! The inside reminds me a lot of memories of my grandparents house they bought in the 60's and lived in till they had both died, less then 20 years ago.
We were there the night before we filmed this scouting it out, and it was during a small thunderstorm. It was a truly eerie experience, and if only we had better lighting, we would have filmed it then, but we figured that daylight would offer the best lighting and allow us to show off the sheer scale of the place.
Otherwise, really neat footage though! And yeah, there can be squatters or wild animals in abandoned buildings. Pretty often there is. Also there could even be an angry property owner even with what appears to be abandoned. Do be careful!
Hey dude, you don't know about the resident of that first home what happened and shouldn't have been talking presumptious like that as you have no real bases to assume anything like what you said. Foreclosure might be a good guess but he might have just become isolated and died in his home from natural causes. Happens to many! We just don't know however.
