Tales of a luxury traveller. Generally all things cruise with possibly a bit of aviation reviews thrown in for good measure. I usually travel particularly at the luxury end of the market. I currently have over 400 nights cruised on Silversea and around 220 on Regent Seven Seas. I welcome your comments on my content and of course, please share if you find interesting! I'd be really grateful if you could like my videos and subscribe to my channel.
Happy to answer questions about cruising and particularly my experiences as I've been lucky enough to travel around the world, mostly on a cruise ship.

Regent Seven Seas Voyager Concierge Suite Review
Thanks for the informative warning, and honest review. The low-quality coffee just won`t do. No, it is not 5 stars, no, it is not good value for money.
Thanks for watching. Absolutely, it was very disappointing.
Great video! I sailed on her >20 years ago! I do have a question. How did you find the condition of the carpets, lounge/restaurant furniture, soft goods, etc.? How was the plumbing? How was her stability in the water? Do you know when she was last refurbished? Thank you very much!
Thank you! You must have sailed just after they launched? She was in great condition overall. No issues with any of the decorative items. I think she was brought up to Muse standard/colour palette a few years ago and apparently had a long dry dock back in early 2024 when (I think) they completely redesigned deck five, taking out the old retail, casino and reception space and putting in the new arts cafe type area with the reception and boutique. I had good water pressure in my suite but the occasional bit of brown water that cleared quickly. We also had really smooth sailing conditions so I’m not sure we particularly tested the stabilisation system but I’ve rarely had any problems with these millennium class ships, which are my favourite in the fleet. Hope that helps, thanks for watching!
@@CruisingPeter thank you!
Great video thank you for sharing.
Thanks for watching, I hope you found it useful/interesting 👍🏻
nice tour...thanks. Not many hangers in the wardrobe area...was it easy to get more?
Thanks for watching! I agree with you but sadly I was only onboard for a two night mini cruise so didn’t need any more. They did seem genuinely helpful so I’m sure they could get some more for you if needed. Thanks again!
Dear Peter, thank you for this interesting video. What are the names of the restaurants and what kind of food do they serve? Sunny greetings from Switzerland, Brigitte
Hi Brigitte Thanks for watching! The main dining room is just called “The Restaurant” and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner serving international cuisine and some dishes inspired by the ship’s itinerary. La Terazza is open for breakfast and lunch with a buffet of international food and for dinner is an la carte Italian restaurant. La Dame is classic French cuisine and is only open for dinner (and has an additional cover charge). The pool grill is open during the day offering poolside snacks and meals (burgers, hot dogs, pizza etc. ) and in the evening is The Hot Rocks restaurant where you cook your own meat on a volcanic stone (steak/veal/fish/prawns etc.) with sides. Hope that helps. The newer and larger ships have additional venues too. Thanks again for the question and for viewing my video. Peter
@@CruisingPeter Dear Peter, thank you for your answer with all these interesting informations about the restaurants on Silver Shadow. How much is the additional cover charge in the Restaurant „La Dame“ per person? Do we have to book the Restaurant „La Dame“ already before our cruise or can we do it on board. Warm regards from „snowy“ cold Switzerland, Brigitte 🇨🇭
Dear Brigitte The cover charge for La Dame is $60 (USD) per person. You can book onboard but I would recommend booking in advance on the MySilversea portal especially if you want a particular day for a special occasion (you can also book your included excursions and spa treatments too if you want). You do not need to pay in advance, it will be charged to your onboard account when you embark. Your butler can also make any dinner reservations for you too. Hope that helps. Enjoy your cruise. I’m sure you’ll have a great time. It’s my favourite ship! If you have any other questions please let me know and I’ll try to answer them for you. Thankfully it’s still sunny here in the UK 😊
@@CruisingPeter Dear Peter, thank you again for answering. We have USD 1000 Bord credit, so we have enough money to go more than one time in the Restaurant „La Dame“ 🥰👍. Well, SPA massage is quite expensive on American cruise ships. We will not have problems to give out the money 😂. For one time you have better weather in UK 🇬🇧 than we have in Switzerland 🇨🇭. Sunday we will have Sunshine again. What is your next cruise? Warm regards, Brigitte and Franz 🚢🥰🌅
I’m sailing on Silver Ray from 4th December. I can’t wait to get onboard 😎
Laurent Perrier Rosé -- très bien !
It certainly is!
Silversea is the best luxury cruise there is. At the most there are 600 people on board. Everything inclusive too.Champagne and caviar .
Sounds like you love them as much as I do! Thanks for watching and commenting.
I wish I were wealthier... Just absolutely beautiful ❤
Yes, I agree, I wish I could travel more than I do. It’s a lovely ship - my favourite Silversea one - so have to work and save hard to enjoy it. Perhaps I’ll see you onboard one day.
Dull commentary.
Sorry you didn’t enjoy it or found it useful.
Thanks for your great review. My wife and I will be sailing on her Hong Kong to Singapore March 2025! Look forward to it.
Thanks for watching! Enjoy your trip. I did a similar itinerary a few years ago and had a fantastic experience. I love travelling to Asia and this ship will be a great way to travel and I’m sure you’ll have an amazing time.
virtually unwatchable, simply can't hear the commentary and when you turn the volume up you get deafened by the music when it kicks in.
Sorry about the sound issue. Thanks for letting me know. I’ll try to resolve as clearly the audio balance is not what it should be.
Music is sooooooooooooooooooooooo LOUD, voice over is completely drowned out. Please re upoad if possible without the music
Sorry for that. I’ll see what I can do. Thanks for the feedback!
Do they have slot machines on this ship as I just saw the table games?
Hi! Yes they do. I don’t think they have many as it’s a small area but there are some. Thanks for watching!
You show the floor if the wardrobe, but not the base of the shower!!
Sorry about that! I do try to give as full a tour of all areas and surfaces as I can but clearly missed that area in this one. ☹️
Love the YC. Great tour
Thank you! It was my first experience in YC. Appreciate you watching.
Great video Pete! You come across really natural, very informative and it was just a great video to watch... ;-)
Thank you! Those are some really kind comments, glad you enjoyed. 👍🏻
Hi thanks for the video… which room did you stay in? We are deliberating whether to book dev 14 or Deck 15 and wondering starboard side or not….thanks
Hi. Thanks for watching! I was in 14006 (starboard side) and that was quite nice as it was near the exclusive elevator for YC but not in a high traffic area as it is the bridge deck so no passenger traffic towards the front. I think deck 15 has forward facing suites so might be a little busier. Hope you manage to book something!
Holy moly! You're back! Glad to see this suite tour, Pete! Nicely done, and that room looks great!
Thanks Bob. There’s a couple more coming in the next few weeks. Yes, it wasn’t too bad at all. Quite a decent size and as it’s quite square so it feels really roomy. I’d certainly consider this suite category again. Thanks for watching and commenting 😘
Hi, I will be sailing on Silver Dawn soon so this was great to watch. The only thing was the sound track you chose was so repetitive I couldn't watch all the way through in one sitting....why not change music as you change sections?
Thanks for the feedback and for watching. Apologies for the repetitive music, it’s something I’ve been aware of so I’ll try to change things up in future videos. Enjoy Silver Dawn. It’s a lovely ship with fantastic crew, I’m sure you’ll be well looked after.
Are tuxedos still needed.
Hi, there will normally be 1-3 formal nights depending on the length and itinerary. Gentleman can wear either a tuxedo or dark lounge suit with a tie. You can dine more informally at the grill on formal nights if you’d rather not dress up. (Or take advantage of the in suite room service served by your butler). Hope that helps. Enjoy your cruise if you have something booked!
It looks beautiful! We've finally got around to booking a Silversea cruise but not until March 2025, Cape Town to the Seychelles on Silver Spirit. Have you been on that ship Pete?
Thanks Angela. Lovely to hear from you! I’m having a great time onboard but surprised the Christmas decorations went up so early. Glad to hear that you took the plunge. I hope it lives up to your expectations. That’s a fantastic itinerary. I almost booked the same this year but in reverse. I love South Africa. Have you been before? Yes, I’ve been on Silver spirit, you can find my ship tour (in two parts, not sure why?) and a suite tour back a couple of years in my channel. It was one of the first ships to be refurbished to the new Silversea colours and concept so you’ll get a similar experience to the new ships. Let me know if you have any questions or at the very least what you think when you embark!
@@CruisingPeter I'm currently on a transatlantic cruise on QM2 so I'll watch the video when I get home. Enjoy your cruise.

Thanks for those very kind words. I’m definitely not an expert or experienced vlogger but I do try to put up what I’d like to see and hope that others enjoy it or find it useful too. Thanks for watching!
would you do a world cruise on it
Yes, I think I would. I’m a big fan of the smaller ships but even so, with things like SALT giving a different dimension to the food offer and tailored to the region of travel, I think it’s a good option. The suites are a decent size too, so plenty of space for storage and I think Silversea also offer a number of perks for full world cruise travellers. It’s definitely on my bucket list!

The beige colour scheme is depressing.
But so much better than the old reds and browns in my opinion but I guess it’s a matter of preference. Thanks for watching!
The voice and music volume do not match. Voice too quiet or music too loud
Thanks for the feedback. Sorry!
Greetings Peter -- Will be sailing on the Silver Dawn in about two weeks! So excited -- your video of the Superior Veranda suite answered many questions I had. Thank you! Looking forward to watching the ship tour with my husband. 🙂
Thank you for such kind feedback! I’m sure you are going to love your time onboard. I was on board again around six weeks ago sailing Norway and it was a great experience. Thanks again for watching!
Would love to know your experience. We start Our cruise 8/13 to Norway
@@cheesyhill3 Hi, I returned about 6 weeks ago and it was a great trip. Norway is a very beautiful country, but if you are planning to eat and drink away from the ship, beware it's also a very expensive country! The scenic sailing is very pretty but it probably worth noting that the towns at the ends of the fjords are small, so if you want to see more, then I'd suggest you book an excursion as there's not much to do locally and I'm not sure you could rely on public transport (if there is any). Service on the ship was good, lots of new people but very friendly and looked after me well. Hope you have a lovely cruise!
Oddly it's currently here in Cardiff Wales. We never have cruise ships
Really? She’s just finished the world cruise, so must be repositioning. I’m guessing as she’s a smaller ship that might be why you’ve seen her today. I don’t remember seeing Cardiff in many itineraries at all, so perhaps it’s a tryout?
@@CruisingPeter I see thanks for the information. Cardiff is a very very small port so yes it was a, shock to see it. Also oddly it's, going to Falmouth Cornwall next
Hi there Peter. My wife and I are strongly considering booking the just announced 2026 Silversea World Cruise on Silver Dawn. I read in your "about" section that you have over 400 nights on Silversea. Any of that accumulated on world cruises? Since you also have lot of experience on Regent, can you comment on the things that you think that Silversea does better or worse that RSSC? There are not many people who have the depth of experience that you have so I value your input.
Hi Mark All my nights have been on individual cruises with a number of back-to-backs in there too. I think the longest I’ve sailed is 43 nights. I’m saving the world cruise as a retirement gift to myself although the onboard consultant almost convinced me to book a few years ago but work got in the way. The newly announced world cruise looks fab. I’m very envious if you do decide to book! I’m glad that they’ve reverted to a more traditional route for 2026. RSSC and Silversea are similar in lots of ways. I do think Regent have a better “hard” product in their ships and styling (to my personal taste) but Silversea are making some massive improvements with the new ships and refits of the older fleet. I think Silversea are steps ahead though on service. Apart from every suite having a butler (Regent only have in penthouse and higher) if that’s your thing, the whole crew seem much more guest oriented e.g. in the buffet on Regent you seat yourself but on Silversea you are seated by the Maitre D’. It’s little things but I just feel better looked after on Silversea. They’re a bit more formal than Regent, so depending on whether you like getting dressed for dinner might be a consideration. Overall I think RSSC feels quite North American in its style whereas Silversea is definitely more European. Whichever way you decide I’m sure you won’t be disappointed. I’m embarking again on Silver Dawn in a couple of days so if there’s anything I can check out for you then let me know. Hope you have a fantastic time. Feel free to send me a question if you need anything else clarifying. Thanks for watching. Peter
@@CruisingPeter Up until now we have been sailing on Celebrity, Holland America, or Queen Mary 2. Our first foray into ultra luxury is Silver Endeavor departing Oct 31st, 2024 on an 18-day Antarctica itinerary. I am retiring in December 2026, so 2026 is our first opportunity for an extended trip like the world cruise, a trip that has been a longstanding bucket list item for us. We were considering the Regent 2026 trip, which was announced a couple of months ago, but really were not interested in the West African and transatlantic crossing (which we have many) finale, so we decided to wait for Silversea to announce their 2026 trip. That has turned out to be a good decision, I think, because we really like the Silversea 2026 itinerary a lot. I do have a question regarding the booking of world cruise on board, just in case we find ourselves in a position to book another one further on. We have booked on board on Celebrity and they had dramatically lower deposits for on board bookings. Is this lower deposit for on board bookings something that Silversea offers? The cost of the world cruise is so up there that we would welcome any way to book that that doesn't involve tying up 15% of that big number for over two years in advance, even if most of it is refundable. Advise.
Hi Mark. You will LOVE Antarctica! I did it a few years ago on Silver Cloud but Endeavour looks like a really great ship to have that experience. I’m not sure of the exact booking conditions for a world cruise so you might need to check with Silversea directly. Generally the only onboard booking incentive is an additional 5% off but I’m sure I’ve seen somewhere that it excludes a full world cruise booking (for whatever reason). I’ve not seen any deposit deals apart from the occasional promo on selected sailings that you can also book on land (there’s one running now for example). I guess you can ask, they can only say no! The deposit level is a bit of a drawback on Silversea. I agree with you that tying up a large amount of money isn’t great which often puts me off booking far in advance. Hope you manage to get something sorted. Sounds like you’ve some great trips planned! Peter
Hi Peter! As you are a true SilverSea veteran: do they ever organize behind the scenes ship tours? If so, would you recommend them? Thanks for the great content!
Hi Jan! Yes, they do have some behind the scenes tours that you can sign up for. On sea days they often offer a bridge tour. It’s complimentary but you do need to sign up at reception and the last time I was onboard, you also needed to wear a mask whilst participating. It’s certainly interesting to see what happens behind those closed doors ☺️. Thanks for watching!
What was your itinerary on Silver Shadow?
Hi, I filmed this travelling from Lisbon to Barcelona, so basically around the Iberian Peninsula. Because Silver Shadow is smaller, it could navigate the river so we could dock in central Seville rather than most other ships docking in Cadiz and running tours to Seville. The benefits of small ship cruising! Thanks for watching.
Was the ship full when you were cruising? It all looks very minimalistic, not because I am looking for grandomanie, but the size of this suite is kinda disappointing for the price one has to pay for a cruise on this ship. Hope at least they are service minded and easy to convince to serve me dinner before the official dinner time as my child doesn’t eat later than 5pm 🥹
Hi, no the ship was about 1/3rd full, it was almost the last sailing of the Mediterranean season coming back from Covid, so I think they restricted numbers onboard anyway. Shadow has a high space to passenger ratio so regardless it never feels “full”. I don’t have kids so can’t really comment on the availability of food for your child. Officially only the 24 hour room service would be available at 5pm but they may be able to bespoke service for you. You will probably need to get your travel agent to check with their head office. I generally see that they’re quite accommodating on special requests and dietary requirements but if it’s important then I’d get some confirmation ahead of time to be sure. Hope that helps, thanks for watching!
Silversea cruises are not minimalistic - it's all about the service, service, service 24/7. The staff to guest ratio is high, and the number of suites is comparatively low. Silversea offer one of the best cruising products on the market.
@@Simon-pl2zi great to hear that! As their pre-sale customer service is pathetic! My comment on their Linkedin post has been deleted simply because was questioning their ability to hire professional sales agents in their London office. If this is a good start for a cruise experience… Again - I strongly hope service on board will be the opposite of the pre-sale one…
What is the water inside the minibar? This feels like a very compact suite, hope it can accommodate 3 persons! And hope they are willing to remove completely the small table in the living room area, as well as the huge mirror opposite the bed… I am coming with a travel cot 💪
Hi, the water in the bottles is filtered I believe and there is one still and one sparkling. They do have Pellegrino etc. so do ask your butler if you have a preference. They removed plastic water bottles a couple of years ago for environmental reasons I think. The suite is 345 sq ft/32m sq, so I think it stacks up well against competitors and mainstream lines. I’m sure they’ll remove the table if you wish (although this converts for in suite dining if you plan to do that). I suspect the mirrors are fixed so doubt they could be removed. If you have safety concerns then it might be worth your travel agent speaking with them to see if they have any other options where there are no low level glass issues to worry about. Very few children are on board in my experience and tend to be teens when I do see families travelling together. Hope that helps, thanks for watching!
@@CruisingPeter thanks a lot for the extensive reply! It did help a lot! I am actually in touch with one of their official offices so I guess will be taking this conversation once we have put our initial deposit. Have you tried to cross the Atlantic on Silver Shadow or any other Silversea ship of similar size? If yes - was the internet network an issue? And did you experience a lot of wavy days?
How was the internet network on this ship? Is it non-existent in open sea? If someone is aiming to work throughout the long crossing would this be feasible?
Hi, the basic internet package is included in all suite categories and they say that it's suitable for emails and general browsing, which I find ok but does get very slow at busy times. You can upgrade to a package that is described as suitable for streaming but I've never tried it so can't comment if it's any good. I understand that they are rolling out Starlink internet (and I think Shadow is one of the first as it's currently on the world cruise), which technically should give a much better experience, hopefully it'll be on your sailing. If you need to do a lot of video calling, I'd be cautious but if you're just responding to emails etc. then you should be ok.
@@CruisingPeter thanks for replying! No, it is not just for replying mails. It is for zoom meetings and programming too… deploying, etc… let’s hope the new Internet arrangement will be working flawlessly 😀
@@loraontheroad 🤞
And is the evening dress code strictly formal (long pants for the guys and closed shoes for the ladies)?
Silversea's dress code is resort casual during the day (no swim wear etc allowed in indoor venues). After 6pm, there are three options which will be set out each day. You can expect a 2-3 formal nights (captain's reception and society evenings), where men must wear tuxedos or evening suits and a tie. Ladies wear ball gowns or more formal dresses/pant suits. The rest of the evenings will split between informal and casual codes. Informal nights, gentlemen must wear a jacket in bars and restaurants (no ties expected) and ladies wear dresses or blouses, Casual nights are "club" casual, so still expectations that men wear a collared shirt/polo shirt and chinos etc. Hope that helps, thanks again for watching 😊
@@CruisingPeter thank you too, for all your replies. Sounds like VERY uptight environment, having on mind most of the guests seem to be 60+. Correct me if I am wrong. Can’t imagine all these people dressing up every single evening as it doesn’t seem they do this in their life outside the ship (again, correct me if I am wrong).
@@loraontheroad I wouldn't say it was uptight but the Maitre D' will enforce jackets etc. before you are seated and they are more formal than say Regent who are country club casual every evening. I guess it depends if you like getting dressed for dinner or not but the vast majority of people are very respectful of the suggested dress each evening. On more formal evenings, you can dine at some venues in a informal or casual way if you don't want to get out the tux or ballgown. I think hot rocks is always optional casual on all evenings. I would say the average age is probably around 60 with a lot of retired professionals/business owners spending their children's inheritance!! There are also quite a few working professionals onboard, I've met quite a few lawyers, doctors and even the odd politician...
@@CruisingPeter hahaha:) the odd politician 😀 I hear you. Will watch out who I am talking to - or it could be used against me 🥹
Should I expect any kids at all? As I am traveling with one 😀
I find very few children are onboard and when they do, are mostly teens. I think it's fair to say Silversea are very adult orientated and really have no facilities/entertainment for kids. (I think they may offer some limited kids activities on some summer sailings). If you are travelling with a child, I'd be prepared to keep them entertained yourself 24/7 otherwise they're likely to get bored really quickly I suspect. Thanks for the questions!
@@CruisingPeter well, I usually do not use cruise ships for my traveling from A to B, but have to do it in this case as there is an ocean between Europe and North America and, as we quit flying over an year ago, cruising is our best bet to reach North America. I do not fancy loud ships full of people and the expected entertainment. I was mostly wondering if my daughter would meet any other kids onboard and most importantly: if the 60+ guys and ladies would make faces in the presence of the unwanted child. Prices are quite high for Silversea cruises and this somehow automatically forces people with (small) kids to choose other alternatives to this cruise. My personal suspicion.
I think you’re right about families having to choose alternative ships. The kids I’ve seen onboard are pretty well behaved as I suspect they’re used to being taken to decent hotels and restaurants and act accordingly. I’m sure you’ll be fine.
How does it feel to be onboard Silver Shadow when the ocean is wavy? Planning to board this one for a Transatlantic cruise this summer, but hesitant due to getting easily seasick (but still love sailing).
I've done a transatlantic on Silver Spirit (which is slightly larger) and haven't been particularly bothered with excessive ship movement. I did sail around the Pacific on Shadow and again found her pretty stable. With smaller ships like this, I'd expect some more movement than a Mega ship. I'm a pretty good sailor but if rough weather is expected, I just take some seasickness pills in advance and am back at the buffet in no time. Hope my answers are helping you decide if this ship is right for you. Please do ask anything else and I'll do my best to respond!
@@CruisingPeter thanks a lot, Peter. Your time and help is appreciated. I am pretty sure the Silver Shadow is the right choice for this particular crossing. Just a bit worried about the internet network, the waves and the reaction of the people onboard when they see a 5 y.o. rocking the ship :) Which city do you usually board from or you always fly to your point of embarkation?
Silver Shadow is my favourite ship in the fleet. I hope you enjoy the trip! I always fly to embark the ship although next month I’ll be sailing on Silver Dawn from Southampton for the first time. Unfortunately Silversea don’t generally start or end many cruises in the UK
Thanks Peter! Another great video.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching 😊
What about WiFi? Thanks in advance Peter
Hi! Complimentary standard Wi-Fi is included in all fares/suite categories for one device (you can swap between devices but need to log out to log back in) and is suitable for basic tasks like email but can be very slow at busy times. There’s chargeable Wi-Fi available that states that you can use more bandwidth heavy task like video calls etc and more devices simultaneously but I’ve never tested it. I think the better Wi-Fi is also included as standard in some of the higher suite categories. I’ve read that the whole fleet is being upgraded to Starlink this year so hopefully that’ll improve things considerably. Hope that helps, thanks for watching!
good advice about silver note. Was sold out every day 90 days prior to sail for my trip on muse
Yes, it’s always very popular on every sailing I’ve made too. I guess it’s hard to balance the small venue vibe with the demand. Thanks for watching!
Hi Pete! Great start to the video, I love sushi, although I would think that on an ultra luxury cruise line, there wouldn’t be an up charge for spec dining. Alantide looked yummie- even the burger and chips! What camera are you using/settings for your photography of your food at a table? They’re exceptionally clear and better than I ever take, what strikes me as how well lit they are. I think your music choice for your ship tour is perfect for the brand; acoustic guitar makes SS a little bit lively. Dolce Vita looks like my kind of lounge! Love the pool area design and deck above. Good thorough tour 😊
Thanks for the feedback Bob! Kaiseki is lovely. I could eat my body weight in sushi and sashimi. 😂. It’s good that it’s open for lunch and that it’s included in the fare but they normally have a sushi platter up in La Terrazza buffet at lunch too, so you have options. It is odd that at dinner, Kaiseki and La Dame have a cover charge. I wonder if they’ll eventually change this as a way of being totally inclusive. Atlantide is good. I sometimes order off menu and get the burger at lunch if I can’t be bothered with the pool grill. You can order them in room service too day or night. I know you’re a cruise burger connoisseur! All photos and footage is from my iPhone and I don’t change any standard settings so I must just be lucky! I just point and snap and hope for the best… I’m never quite sure what music to use in my videos tbh. I just find something that’s pretty mellow. Glad you think it’s a good thing. I need to work out how to make different selections as you do. I like the way you change the music through your content. Sounds much more professional. The Muse class ships are lovely. It’ll be interesting to see how the new Nova class changes the Silversea experience as the design/layout is going to be very different. Thanks for watching and for the feedback!
Thank you for a lovely tour, very well paced. Nice mix of informative talk and music, without feeling the need to talk to fill every second with voice. I loved the music - perfect for this. About your photography - Just an iPhone? Just proves the old adage that good photography is more about a good photographer than a good camera. I’ve been seriously considering Silver Dawn, and this video is confirming my opinion. I have subscribed and will be looking forward to more from you.
@@lap8329 Thanks so much for your kind comments. Yes, i just use an iPhone on standard settings, so nothing professional, although you’ll have probably spotted that I use a gimbal to keep things steady. Silver Dawn is a great ship, although it’s a Muse class ship so has just under 600 passengers, it doesn’t feel full or busy as there’s a good passenger to space ratio and some nice public spaces. Hope you give her a try, I’m sure you’ll have a great cruise experience. Give me a shout if you have any questions, as I’ll be embarking on her again in June. Thanks for watching and subscribing, I’m very grateful!
Great tour, Peter! Would love to try Silversea!
Thank you. Yes, I’d really recommend them if you get the opportunity. Thanks for watching!
Yes silversea one of my favourite cruise lines ...do try sometime 💃🥂
Do try it. You will love it.
Hi Peter I watch a few of your videos but this one I'm struggling with!! I was on the dawn in Nov 2022 & it was fabulous..it's not one of your best ...sorry 😐..
Oh dear, sorry you didn't like this one :( Was there anything in particular that I could have done better or you didn't like? I filmed this back in late November so we must have just missed each other. Thanks for watching and giving the feedback and I hope that you enjoy the next one!
I too was on the Dawn last November 😁
@@iloveanimals1662 when were on the dawn ??? May have been in the same cruise ??
@@iloveanimals1662 when in November were you on the silver dawn??
@@patriciacopling7908 31st Oct Barcelona to Lisbon 😁
This was very nicely done - it feels almost like a catalogue. You’ve told us a great deal about the ship, what about the experience? Good job…Thanks!
Thanks so much for the positive feedback! That’s some great advice about the experience, I’ll definitely look at providing more on that in future content but just to say, I always find the crew onboard Silversea so friendly and accommodating, it’s generally very hard to be critical. For example on this ship, my butler was so lovely and couldn’t stop trying to find/do things to make things better or more special. Have you sailed with them before? Thanks for watching!
Thanks for this. Am looking at Antarctica on the Endeavour Expedition that they acquired from Crystal. Only 200 cabins.
Silver Endeavour does look like an amazing ship. I hope I get a chance to sail on her in the future. Having done Antarctica on Silver Cloud a few years ago, I’d really recommend it as a destination. It’s totally worth the expense for the experience, it’s quite unlike anything else. You won’t regret it! Hope you get it booked 🤞🏻 Thanks for watching
The room is so small there is only room for only ONE CHAIR? What happens if you want to eat in the room?
I’m not sure it’s particularly small but a second chair would get in the way and isn’t really necessary with the full size sofa. Obviously if you want a separate dining area then the higher category suites are more suitable than the veranda suites. However if you want to dine in your suite in this category, the butler will add a foldaway table top to the smaller table you can see (stored in the walk in closet) and dress the table with restaurant linens etc. you can the either use the sofa or the dresser stool as your second seat. It actually works quite well, so don’t be put off. Thanks for watching!
Actually, there is another chair, tucked under the desk out of the way.
