A little note on the turn table, I heard Anna Griffin mention on HSN that the turn table not turning smoothly and having some resistance was intentional as to maintain the consistency of the cut and not move when the machine was working.

Hi!!! Right after you opened it, Did you noticed if your came kind of with scratches at the bottom metal part of the detachable pieces?? Cuz I'm really suspecting the store (from a brazilian store) sent me a used or returned from other person product. The scratches look like use marks.

The thing that puzzles me the most is the fact that the magnetic shim isn't used to actually hold the die in place. It's only used as a means to make the sandwich thicker. Why would a magnetic sheet be required with an embossing folder? Wishing my Gemini jr would break so I can order the Anna Griffin machine!
