    If you are using it for heating - solar water heater will be better than solar panel 60% efficiency over 20% efficiency = 300%, 3 times greater

    Isn't it better for your cells to charge them at 2 amps, I am watching to try to see if its could be an option for my ebike battery packs. they are 48 volt 20000mah I remember reading the battery instructions and they said 2 amps is better though you can get a fast 3 amps charger for some ridiculous price . though it can lead to imbalance? Is there a better way, maybe using / or adding a low voltage cut off meter setting it for a charge vs discharge maybe? Just a thought? I have no idea and i am just looking into these things so I am only throwing out what I have read and seen. Although maybe you can use it in order to make it shut off automatically ,though Just a guess!

    Guys, you are great. You shoot the right videos. I have a question for you. I thought about this problem if in dc/dc to separate the power supply. If to make from a separate step-up converter power supply for the controller and key transistor -12v. And power supply to the throttle could be supplied any and even lower than 10v. Then will we be able to power this dc/dc from one lithium bank at 3.6v. It is clear that the current on the transistor with a decrease in voltage will increase greatly, but this is not a problem, because we can increase the number of transistors and align them by current. As a result, we can try, I think so, because alkaline batteries can be used and they are not afraid of deep discharges to complete zero. This makes a lot of sense, since by completely discharging the battery we have more power than, for example, using acid batteries. I would like to know your opinion. Thank you.

    Buck boost convert is intended to be used when solar panel voltage is lower than your storage battery voltage. Otherwise you should not need to use it. Would not be very useful or efficient.

      Thanks for watching the video and leaving feedback.👍👍 However, what you said is partially relevant to buck-boost converters. The only disconnect is that what was tested in this video was a constant current BUCK converter.....not a BUCK-BOOST converter - they are not the same thing. Also, regardless of what converter type, you still need the current adjustment function that these constant current converters provide as it enables you to adjust the charging current to the level recommended for your battery. Charging your batteries without current adjustments is dangerous and could over stress your batteries.....PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS. PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO MY TUTORIALS.       It's the same exact music for the first 5 minutes and repeated later on. Download the epidemic sounds app or go to their website and search for the track. 💥Original track title: PARTY BANGERS With an Epidemic Sounds subscription, you can download the entire stem package of the song and edit it as you want.....so what you heard was the different variations that I made out of the original track during the video editing.       You could try what I have shown in my series converter video series. Please check out those videos on our channel. CAUTION: I would not recommend connecting more than 2 converters in series as my videos showed.

      As I understand it with those converters the limiting factor is the input current so if you are feeding in 12v you are limited to around 400W if you want it to be reliable. Double the input voltage and you can double the power.

    Speaking as a structural engineer, which I most definitely am not, That stand is seriously overly strong for this demonstration. Speaking as an electrical engineer....oops, I mean forklift operator, it would be better to widen the footprint so that the whole thing could slide up from the bottom and lock in to hold the heatsink at the top for better heat dissipation (fans optional). Thanks for making this video. I can't wait to see if it encourages me to do something beneficial or if it discourages me from DDS.

      Lol, definitely very funny! I like it.👍👍 I certainly hope my videos would encourage and not discourage you. You made some good observations, but the stand was 3d printed out of PLA plastic, and my goal was to keep it a simple design - something to hold up the converters while granting some air flow access to the cooling fans at the bottom. Also, here, I really don't care much about anyone's academic qualifications. I always recognize and respect good ideas coming from anyone.       Thanks for the wonderful feedback! Much appreciated. Safety is the biggest consideration in all my projects and videos. As I explained in the full video (watch it of you can), for the converters to work in a series connection, you have to isolate the chassis grounds from the 12V DC return. Not doing this means that you are essentially shorting one of the power supplies....and this is why you may have experienced a failure.       Wonderful idea! I have been able to connect 4x of these power supplies in series - in some of my videos - it's pretty much the same concept shown in this video, and it works.       The MOSFET used for the prototype board is IRFP264 because of its high drain-to-source voltage rating. In the finished design, I will be using a better MOSEFT with a lower RDSon. As for the diode. I will have to check my notes. Stay tuned. The Innovati0n Lab 💥 www.theinnovati0nlab.com

      Thanks for the great feedback. However, this goes deeper than voltage in balance at the analytical level. Startup transient response of asynchronously paralleled converters is a nightmare - especially under heavy startup loads, and there are a lot of variables to consider. - conflicting independent control loops. - Load startup response - System output power level - Load to converter system impedances...etc I hope this makes sense to you.     To test buck converters you need to use a power supply , not solar panel because sun is not always in the sky, this can alter the tests. Also the battery has a BMS, BMS may have some logic which would prevent reception of current in some conditions. Instead of a battery you should use a power resistor.
