I get what they were trying to say, but it honestly stems from racism and the patriarchy. BW have been expected to take care of everything and everyone and carry everything on our backs since slavery. Cooking, taking care of other people's kids, being the maid, being the one the men slept with when the wives didn't want to put out (and we couldn't say no). The comment feels like a slap in the face. I'm done caping for people and being people's mammy. We tired and it's not our job 🤷🏾‍♀️ And the sad part is that even our own men expect this. Submission to them means doing everything we had to do during slavery and when we didn't have rights 😢 I wish people would leave BW alone. Stop bringing us problems to fix.

I'm not flattered about what he is saying, Indian, Bangladesh, Pakistani men don't like or marry black women! So why help them? Are we crazy? They need to look of their women to help them because you're not used me pretending to be "nice" when deep down they teached you that black people are nasty!

I wish i had a different reality aswell but wevare talking about the issues and not the few that do not suffer under said issues. Aint no one bullying we are setting and respecting our boundaries.

A very fascinating video, this brings back painful memories which i have been enduring. My relationship of 6 years ended 3 months ago. The love of my life decided to leave me, I really love her so much I can’t stop thinking about her, I’ve tried my very best to get her back in my life, but to no avail, I’m frustrated, I don’t see my life with anyone else. I’ve done my best to get rid of the thoughts of her, but I can’t, I don’t know why I’m saying this here, I really miss her and just can’t stop thinking about her.

The struggle to release someone dear to your heart is undeniably arduous. I empathize, having experienced a similar circumstance when my 7-year relationship concluded. Refusing to accept defeat, I pursued every conceivable avenue to reclaim her affection. Eventually, I sought the assistance of a spiritual counselor, whose wisdom and intervention played a pivotal role in reuniting us.

We can always go to Jesus, I like being a kind and helpful person, I'd like to think that most people would help someone in desperate need or someone that is in danger. So black women don't have to be singled out or put on some kind of pedestal and not all of us are the same. America can be very selfish and individualistic so it really depends on where you are.

To every race, we are "The Help," but always underappreciated by everyone... His comment is so true, tho. Men, women, and children will ask me questions or for help....I could be in a room full of people, and they will journey across a room, to ask me for help... I had a man who spoke very little english ask me to help him check in for an appointment... I then turned to asked the security guard if he could help him, and he said he couldn't because of the personal information part, so I walked back over to the kiosk and walked him through the process, even turning my back when he needed to put in his SS#... got him all checked in. He was so grateful... Sometimes, it feels good to help people, but it's a bit awkward because out of all the other people in this room, why you come to me?... I'm guesssing smiling, and making eye contact is an open invitation that you're a helpful person?😅... But we must also understand "You never know if you're entertaining angels" when you help a stranger!!!...

Dang…I just don’t know how to feel anymore…I’m Hispanic. Born and raised in South America. I’ve noticed, for years, that my views on racism is not, apparently, mainstream. I don’t want to insult anyone, but…the liberator of my country called and loved the black lady, most likely a slave or ex-slave, who cared and raised him. We learned that in history class. So, in my mind, she must’ve been more important to him. Probably even more that the women that gave birth to him. I believe, from what I remember (I could be wrong), his biological mother was sickly. The black servant, loved his mom. Yeah, I guess that I’ve, naively, believed that the black lady was the one with the true selfless heart and gave everything to the people she cared for. Now I feel that it might have been just narrative to convince certain groups to accept a type of normalized abuse towards them…I don’t know how to feel anymore

Yes, we want to go to expensive places. On special occasions. Nobody wants $2.50 ice cream and wandering in a park on EVERY DATE. That's casual "let me see if you can carry a conversation" date territory. If by the third or fourth date, he isn't even suggesting nice places to go, or making actual date plans? No. He won't get better. He is not trying to impress you and he does not care to put effort into keeping your attention. He should just admit he's stingy and sit back down... Also that hollering man with a chain, yelling about "masculine and feminine energy", needs to calm down and...ugh. The men who step on women don't love or care about ANY woman. The high goal woman? Eventually he will make HER into a stepping stool. That's how toxic men are.

This man speech is belebolent misogynistic at core .... It doesnt matter the color of the skin, is men thinking WOMEN NEED TO SAVE THEM, which this very dangerous narrative that women love to help, to edúcate, to save men .... No, i don't , cuz 99,9% of the type this is not reciprocated .... I seen it AGAIN and AGAIN and AGAIN, women doing the most to save evey single men around, making them better human beings, helping them in need, but if the woman is in need, they dont care, not their problem, they are busy, they dont have the time neither want to, cuz what are you going to give me in exchange. MEN DONT DO ANYTHING FROM THE KIDNESS OF THEIR HEART, EVERYTHING IS TRANSACTIONAL, and if men help women, believe me, the want US to pay them with our bodies, cuz in their mind You gain anything from helping someone...men are selfish by Nature but they want all the women of the world to coddle them like little kids ... no, i'm tired !

Then she arrived on the second set of stairs and she had the audacity to ask me (black woman) for help when there were men left and right walking down the stairs.
