Worked at Auckland international airport in the mid 90s when Ridge played for the warriors. You were definitely an arrogant looking prick thats for sure 😂
Ridgeyyyyyy ! Fucking great podcast lads!
Drugs are bad...mmk
Ridgey U legend,
That taxi story was crazy
Far Carl Barron looking good
Great podcast. The messages are simple but very powerful and inspiring .
A work hard, play hard life in Sydney's eastern suburbs makes this sound like an episode of play school. I was waiting for the punchline. Handy player back in the day though and played during an era when my Roosters were abysmal.
I thought Him, Marc Ellis n Lana Cockroft all hit the Drugs badly n got a hush-hush pass ....
Dunno about addiction but definitely a dic
Incredible listen!! Big respect for Ridgey for telling his story and being so honest!!
Didn't need the click bait title as there was so much more to the interview. I really enjoyed it 👍🏻
i always thought ridgy was and upstart twat.......great interview
What about the SBW story? Need the chase that up gents lol
What makes him so special? Absolutely nothing. Most of nz are druggies, especially maoris.
This is gold. So humblin to see ridgey say ftpolice and have a good yarn about his upbringing and sports career
That was a goodie .. Shot Ridge… he was just straight the fk up lol
Wow! Amazing truth telling. Great pod. Kia kaha Ridgey. You got this.
Where is the Beers?
Always been a huge fan of Ridgey! An absolute Legend of a Man!!
Awesome podcast with Matthew, a new respect for him.
Wow he still talks n acts like a crack head... hopes he's actually off it!
Love Ridgey as an All Black and later in the NRL. I wonder how many other celebs/sports stars are meth heads? Hope he's doin better
Shout out to the hosts.....Gentleman!!!!.Thanks for the memories playing for Manly during such a wonderful era. They would not have been anywhere near as successful without your toughness and determination. You were a true competitor and winner, who had to win at all costs. Will always be my second fav Manly player of all time. Bless you RIdgey!!!
So who's #1? John Hopoate or Aaron Woods?
@@omega43.5 Pfft...please the Mule David Hosking of course.
@@corkybucek3538 haha i was going to say him actually. funny that. i'm sure it was either cliffy lyons, mick o'connor or perhaps Ian Roberts or Mark Carroll. I reckon it's Tooves though. Surely not DCE. Quick edit...maybe beaver menzies. Unless we're going back to Bobby Fulton days...
please dont contaminate this post using foul language (DCE)......Any true Manly fan's (well the old and cranky ones) fav can only be Cliffy....daylight to second.
Good episode Lads deep convos like his drug addiction I would have never ever thought he was on Drugs I always thought Macca was 😂😂 only because he was a Scarfie. He speaks truth on the price of healthy food
Most Honest Podcast I've seen in Years absolute Legend Ridgey I was in Auckland when him and Mark were at their prime Both absolute Legends and a absolute Story to tell....
Gentleman.. seriously.. one of the most sincere podcasts I’ve ever watched. Great hosting! And Mr Ridge.. thank you for sharing brother. As a Manly fan from the 80’s is an extra bonus! God bless you all 👌🏾❤️❤️🌴👊🏾🙏🏾
And a new subscriber 👊🏾🌴
These blokes running this podcast are top shelf 👌
This was amazing, but how did they drop the Sonny Bill story he was going to tell! But seriously best pod ive heard in years
Absolute legend. Recently watched the Manly doco, was amazed by how 'himself' he already was at such a young age, and how on to it he was... at that age I didn't know my arse from my elbow.
Ridgey is a top man! Took himself to the depths and managed to bring himself back. Wish you well Ridgey💯
One of my favourite goal kickers ever and great player to
That's fantastic!
Great stories really enjoyed matthews interview.
Spot on with the weather.. Sun makes a huge difference. I notice thr change in mood with everyone in winter here in NZ
I forgot who his daughter was. I was thinking how the fuck would his daughter get him kicked out of clubs with no restraining order? Then when I looked them up I was like “fucken Jamie ridge” forgot she was famous for fashion and shit too.
Most genuine guy from bk n da day
Legend Marc Ellis - man of much wisdom 🙏🏽❤️
It's been an eye opener listening to Ridgey's story. The general public had no idea he had been set up by dodgy cops and a gas lighting cab driver.... he's absolutely right too, you haven't lived until you've had a broken heart, lol.
Standard cops right there bang on alot good just as many bad
Wow one of the best guest pod casts I have heard. Respect to the man for being so honest and true to his word
Best kiwi podcast interview I've watched hands down
What happened to the Sonny bill Williams story he said he will tell
Nz are shocking still to this day
A lettuce not shredded
👌
Faaarrrrrk! Calling out Stacey Jones 😮😂
