Yay Kendall! My favorite Ranger ever both in the show and the game! Let's go! I hope you saw my second post on your last Forever Red video on my general strategy for her (check that now if you didn't already!). Time for a play by play. Apologies in advance for being long winded. This is only happening when my favorite Ranger enters the game. Also none of this is criticism, I'm both autistic and analytical. I'm trying to be helpful. This is my favorite game by far. I love your videos! Keep up the good work! Early thoughts... this definitely isn't the best team for Kendall. No offense! They're all great Rangers however they don't synergize that well. I've played more than two hundred games of HotG, though admittedly none were solo mode. Half of those were with Kendall, and all of those were wins, I've never lost with her on my team, so I hope I know how to play her. When I paired her with Doggie I was unimpressed. Outside of Discipline he doesn't help her much. Lauren's stronger attacks, energy gain, and attack boosting Zord on top of Discipline make her a better pairing. Kendall really craves attack boosts to enable her to Rapid Blast the world and Doggie just doesn't do that. I've only played Dragon Armor Trini a couple times however she doesn't really have any support abilities outside Energy Harvest to make her an ideal teammate. While I've never played this scenario I did go against Cyclopsis with a Kendall/Lauren/Karone/Santa team. They beat him in one battle without losing a life. When you Rapid Blast half of his cards to death on your first turn it's pretty easy. Combos! They do a Ranger good! Love the Krybots and Rinshi. Elite footsoldiers are awesome and I'm very glad you're using them. They're two of my favorites to play against. Especially love the Rinshi giving extra monsters of the day! I house rule the Rinshi Beasts to have 5 life for that reason. Monsters should be as tough as Blueheads. Woah. Hold on. Doggie gets the lead Ranger token?! What?! SCANDAL! Ms. Morgan is the best mentor in the franchise. She takes orders from NOBODY. Doggie is top five, and he can command near drop outs from B-Squad all day. However to be a museum curator and proprietor at her young age Kendall must have gotten her doctorate when she was a teenager. She's not a dropout. She's a prodigy. She built all of the Dino Charge tech by herself with no help and no SPD or Lightspeed or RPM resources backing her. Just her and her ingenuity. She's a one-woman-show that the Dino Charge team would have had zero chance without. TLDR: If Doggie is foolish enough to try to tell Kendall what to do she'll throw him into the sun. She's done it before. Er. Sorry. Got sidetracked. Moving on! Loving Arsenal Mode. Glad to see it here. Oh good. Red Fury Mode is an excellent power-up for Kendall. And yes I do basically see every card as it relates to Kendall. Sorry, not sorry. Jungle Fury's one of my favorites too. Probably top ten. Loved everybody in it, including the second best Purple Ranger ever. No points for guessing my favorite season, by the way. Did you say Dino Charge? Wrong! It's Dino Super Charge! More Purple! And Heckyl's awesome. No no no! Give Power of the Solarix to somebody else. Kendall needs attack dice! Remember it doesn't matter who has the Solarix. Any time a Ranger uses a once per battle ability it triggers, not just the Ranger who has it. Okay from a gameplay perspective at least Kruger makes sense as the lead Ranger. You don't want Kendall taking hits because the order of her cards is extremely important. Kendall combo! Yay! I mean Perfect Planning is better used on a monster/boss however you do what you have to do. Die Rinshi! Also it's only 5/6 average hits per die. 4 dice equals 20/6 so 3 hits is actually quite average. Sorry. Math geek. Don't expect the hits to equal the dice. They average lower than that at 5/6 per die. That adds up at higher dice counts. Trust me, it'll help you in future plays. Discarding Rapid Blast and giving Red Fury Mode to Trini isn't the optimal move. A powered up Rapid Blast is the strongest attack your team has. And Trini's defense can take Red Fury's drawback the easiest when Kendall uses it. If you look at the top of Bark Orders you can see Kendall's boot. Hey. I have Kendall radar okay? I presume she's getting ready to kick the Lead Ranger token out of Doggie's hand. I mean sure Havoc Laser's cool. Again, Rapid Blast should be defeating three boss cards every time you use it if you're comboing it right. You should've gained 2 Energy for Energy Harvest because Buffalord had 2 hits. Yes, that's how Dino Morpher Blast works. Kendall's so awesome she gets three Power Weapon level attacks. And of course she rolls 6 hits on 5 dice. Because Kendall is not statistically average! Also here's the combo. If she gets two uses of Dig Deeper she can use the first to set up Perfect Planning and the second to set up Rapid Blast if that three shield card isn't on top of her deck any more, ensuring all of her moves are at max strength. Good job on realizing Rising Slash just lets you draw the stacked card! Okay Kendall just wants any Arsenal card now. Sheesh. Give her some love! That Red Fury Mode would have worked wonders with Rapid Blast. Would have been awesome to take out three Black Dragon cards at once including that irritating passive before he even went. Kendall isn't meant to tank damage. She's a strong attacker who can close out 3/4 of a monster in one hit. Trini is actually a strong defender because all those one shields are easy to recover and they give her three shields a better chance to go back to your deck. If you use its effect Rising Slash requires Kendall and another Ranger to draw. It's either no one draws or both do. That's bad if Kendall has one card in her deck. You let Kendall get defeated?! Oh no! I'd have anybody else go down instead. I've never let her be defeated even once! Admittedly I'd probably have someone else be beaten instead of her even if it meant I immediately lost the game so take that for what it's worth. Congratulations if you actually made it this far! Don't misunderstand my ramblings. That's just how I am. I loved the video! Awesome work! Looking forward to the next part!

I have been watching your playlist :-) I have my game in the attic sadly no room in the house but will be once we move into our own place hopefully mid next year at the latest :-) But I just ordered some more stuff so I can paint up. I really hope there will be a Lightspeed Rescue set and other themed monsters such a great season.

Playing the game, helped me a lot more than being explained with the details, either way with your playthrough it made me buy the game. Appreciate the video, it will help me a lot~

Man, this all looks SO cool. I really need this. Come to mind, I bought a Gamegenic Lair 400 a few months ago and I think it might actually very well store most if not all cards for this game and it’s expansions with room for all the tokens and bigger cards in there etc. That might actually be a great way to set up the game quickly and have every expansionary core set combined.

Whenever I play this set, when a ranger needs a re-roll from Jason's ability, I joke that the ranger asks by saying "bless me, Jason, for I have whiffed!" I like to call Jason's type of effect "whiffing insurance." Doesn't matter what kind of game it is.

So, I played my first game as Optimus Prime and I won. Fairly easily I have to say, I never had more than 2 damage at one time. Prime seems to be very good for solo play, but I didn’t expect to win right away and worry a bit this game might not be difficult enough. I’ll try other characters soon and will try the expert mode where VP doesn’t convert to Energon, as I was loaded with Energon and never had any shortage, even when my Energon starter card was destroyed during the very first turn. Do you have any recommendations for what expansions might add more difficulty or extra variety? I’m getting the A Rising Darkness for sure, but beyond that, any recommendations? I did very much enjoy the game btw, very cool theme vibe for me.

Bought the game yesterday, and sleeved up. Ready to play my first game this week, with some help from your videos. I previously owned the GI Joe DBG, as most people seem to think that one is better, but decided to sell it as it didn’t hit me the right way, even though I used to play with the toys back in the ‘80 and ‘90 all the time. Transformers DBG seems a lot of fun, so I decided to grab it and will probably get some expansions to flesh out the card pool. I have to say I am somewhat disappointed with there only being 2 bosses of each level in the core set, but nothing an expansion won’t fix I guess.

Hand is pretty slow so just run away, just get out of the haunted house for poltergeist, and respect the land for inkanyamba, gepetto would be a lot harder to run away from but you could do it. Dr Fright is the worst the is no escape, your gonna have to fight it out. PS thank for the vid

Can't believe nobody noticed or said anything. The super loader says you can't use search cards, and the very next thing he does is take the loader to somewhere he can search. He shouldn't have had three key cards, so he shouldn't have been able to use the airlock. Ironically, if he'd stuck to the cinematic use of the maintenance shafts and left the loader behind, he could have just climbed back into it. So, not a big infraction, but it took me out of the narrative.

What's the point of Skydive giving Flight if the Aerialbots' Team character card has Flight as a passive?

Most of the time watching other people play final girl bores me because others just have a static camera that stays in the same space and also they dont have the same showmanship as you. The way you tell us what you imagine is happening and make actions really feel like a horror movie, expecial the thing you do when victums die is so entertaining!
