The shimmer effect has always been there. Was masked in a different way. also, spacing out your lyrics and text helps as well plus the remaster option.
Since v4 came out, I've noticed the shimmer a little in v3.5, although it's so much less unpronounced I didn't notice it 'til comparing with v4. Thanks for the tip about spacing the lyrics. Do you mean it helps to literally add more space (like more space in the text prompt), or are you referring to spacing the lyrics by adding instrumental breaks in between?
How to reduce the sound decay pass 2 minutes mark?
@@TheRazeluXE You might be able to get rid of it by using the Extend feature instead of Replace Lyrics
@CB-AI no I mean every songs I generate has their vocals gradually decays towards the end. Usually pass 2 minutes mark that the problem start arise.
@@TheRazeluXE Hmmm, that's interesting. I haven't noticed that with my songs but they are mostly in English. Something I've found that can make the sound quality better is to create the song, then use Cover and keep the song the exact same, and keep the Style prompt the same or change it slightly (ex. changing RnB to 2000s RnB, 2010s RnB, etc.). Sometimes the Cover songs have better vocals than the original
Try using Remaster, as well. That's another trick that sometimes improves the quality
Hi. Thanks for the video. I followed your instructions precisely and Suno still changes the song. I only need to delete an extra word from the lyrics and have tried everything, but the output is still a new song.😢 Help. Please.
Hi Helen, is the extra word at the beginning, middle or end of the section?
@@CB-AIThanks so much for the reply! There is one duplicate word in the last line of the very first section and another in the second line of the very last section of the song. So, I can’t correct them in one try. I was able to remove the word from the first section and saved the song. But once I try to change the last section, it completely changes the ending. It’s quite frustrating, as I’ve used up many points trying to correct it.
@@helenb.5337 Sorry to hear it's not working well on the ending section! You could experiment with these tips on the last section (it will use up more credits, though): - Make sure when you select the section that it's only 10 seconds long. I assume you're already doing this but wanted to share in case not. - Try choosing the 10 seconds "in front of" the word, include the word, and keep all the lyrics the same except that last word. The singer will sing the line a little differently but hopefully not enough that it's no longer to your liking. You might even try adding a "." to end the phrase where you want to suggest to the AI that the line stops at the period. - Try choosing the 10 seconds "behind" the word, starting with the last 2-3 words and have the section go from there - Instead of using the Replace Section feature, try using the Extend feature, choosing a timestamp roughly at the last lyrical line. Include the corrected final lyrical line, as well as tags that describe as close as possible what you want the ending to sound like. (Ex. [Gentle Instrumental Break] [Fadeout] [End], etc.). This, in theory, would help guide the AI towards re-doing the end close to or the same as the way it is in the original. The above steps are what I would try if it was me. 🙂 Hopefully you'll find a way soon without having to use many more credits. Let me know if it works or doesn't work, I'd like to hear how it goes! -Cam
@@CB-AIThank you so much, Cam, for such a detailed response. I am a total newbie to Suno, so it’s trial and error and the credits get eaten up aggressively.)) I will definitely try your suggestions. Thank you again.🙏🏻
Recreate section is a scam right now.
It can be pretty tough to get stuff to come out right with it, for sure. What issues have you been experiencing with it?
It's definitely more of an issue with any sort of distorted guitar sound. I have a 2000's, Nu Metal track that I really like and the shimmer was very pronounced. As an alternative solution that doesn't use v3.5, I have found that using the 'Remaster' option also works quite well and doesn't require any further input. Using this method isn't perfect and sometimes requires multiple 'tries' before capturing the desired sound, which is an irritating waste of credits but does a good job reducing that strange oscillation or 'shimmer' noise. It really is pot luck; one track was great after one remaster, another took 8-10 attempts (4-5 remasters as it still gives you two versions each time). Thanks for the video. I hope one of these methods works as a stop-gap until Suno can iron out the issue.
Hi Jake, my pleasure. Thank you, as well, for the tip about Remaster. I tried it on a few tracks and didn't like the results, but I didn't try many times on the same one. It's good to know it will work after enough tries.
It totally changes the music and the way the song is sung mate :/ When I get the full song the changed section sounds out of place.
Sorry to hear that. What was the original lyrics line and what was the replaced one?
@@CB-AI It's in Polish so I doubt you would understand. I tried to edit the vocal audio stem - but it does not highlight the lyrics and when I hit the "recreate section" it translates the lyrics to russian langue :/
Bummer. A lot of people are having problems with it, so you are not alone! I have an idea you could try but I've only tried in English, so I'm not sure if it would work. For the Polish lyrics instead of putting it how it's spelled, try writing it out phonetically in English. Ex: Instead of "Karol Wojtyła" put "KA-dole VOY-tee-wah." OR try changing the spelling and capitalization to "push" it in the direction you want it to go. It's worth a try.
Good work, I make a Abo. Greetings sound4soul
@@SteveM45Thank you, greetIngs to you as well!
Going back to v3.5 gets rid of it (because the mechanism of v3.5 doesn't have the problem) but it also loses the voice and instrument quality of v4. You do at least maintain the song structure excellence of v4, however. But v3.5 also contains a fuzziness that can ruin a song.
Hi Steve, thank you for the feedback. I agree that there can be a reduction in production quality when going to to v3.5. I've been testing both out quite a bit and think they both have pro's and cons. I like v3.5 for getting the production sound from a particular era whereas v4 has a more modern, clear distinction between the instruments and vocals, and sounds more "up front" in the mix. But the shimmer effect is so bad sometimes I switch to the more flat sounding output of v3.5. It also seems to depend on the genre which version works better. Hopefully Suno will patch an update for v4 soon. I've tried putting the shimmery tracks in Audacity to try to fix it there, but haven't had any luck yet. (Could be because I just lack the audio engineering knowledge, though. I haven't found any audio production videos yet that talk about this specifically)
@@CB-AI I've also tried filtering out the shimmer in Audacity, but the lowpass filters aren't very sharp. The frequency of the shimmer is about the same as fast drum tracks, so you'd lose both. The folks at Suno, I hope, understand the engineering clues that a) the spread spectrum of the shimmer is always the same, and b) the frequency is always the same regardless of the tempo of the song. I've sent in complaints to them in a steady stream, but I presume they are working hard to figure it out (thus it is still labeled "beta").
@@stevewalton3151 Hopefully they'll release the fix for it soon. I've noticed there's a lot of threads on other sites with people complaining about it.
SUNO is working on a solution. At the moment it is recommended to create stems and stitch them together using an audio software or DAW. This is supposed to help.
Have you found that splitting the stems and recombining in a DAW reduces the problem? I've tried testing the mp3 and Wav files in Audacity to remove the effect but couldn't do it without a substantial negative impact on the EQ and mix quality.
@@CB-AI It just seems like an option that doesn't always work. I read it in a forum. Unfortunately it is not a reliable method. I hope SUNO solves the problem.
What is the shimmer effekt
The shimmer effect is a kind of background noise.
I believe it's a feedback effect. I don't know the mechanics of their algorithms, but somewhere it's picking up some feed-forward noise. The shimmer is always the same frequency, a hallmark of resonance modes. I really hope they get it fixed soon, because I'm having real trouble getting clean versions that minimize it.
It's that slotmachine/phone ring/laser/whatever you wanna call it in the backgrounds of any song made in v4
Hello, I want to "replace section". after I select the section that I would like to replace,The part to be replaced is not displayed on the left. Can you help me? Then I can only manually enter the part that needs to be changed on the left, and then the regenerated music does not show the text I have changed. Please help me. Thank you.
Hi there, when you try to regenerate the lyrics, does it change them in the recording, or do they stay the same?
Hello, thank you for your reply. I followed your instructions, and I found that the English lyrics can be modified, but the Chinese lyrics cannot be modified. I don't know why. I look forward to your help. Thank you again! You are great 🎉
@@victoryu8653 My pleasure 🙂 Is the whole song in Chinese, or is it a mix of Chinese and English? One thing I've found helps is when you create a new song, make sure that all the lyrics are there, even if it is repeated (like if the Chorus repeats 2 or 3 times), that way the AI can "tag" each word and so it will show up in Replace Lyrics when you highlight them. For an existing song that won't show up on the left, I wonder if the following steps would work (I am not sure if this will work but you could give it a try and let me know): - Go to your song you want to replace lyrics in - Use the Cover Song feature - Put in ALL the lyrics as they sound on the original recording, even if there are lyrics in the recording that the AI added (like an extra chorus) - keep the Style prompt the same as the original recording - Generate the Cover song - Pick one of the Covers that sounds closest to the original - Try Replace Lyrics in the Cover song and see if the section you want to replace shows up on the left now and if you are able to replace them
Hello, thank you very much for your patience and detailed reply! My lyrics are in full Chinese, and then I tried to use the full English lyrics to partially replace the lyrics. This song works, but for the Chinese lyrics, this operation is unsuccessful, and the lyrics to be modified are not displayed on the left. Why is this?
@@victoryu8653Hmmm, I'm not sure why that is. If I'm understanding correctly, there are 2 songs: 1 in English and 1 in Chinese. The English lyrics can be replaced, but the Chinese ones cannot. Have you tried replacing lyrics in any other full Chinese songs? Did it work for those or did all the Chinese songs not work?
it's not good (not you ) because if you want to change a word .. . you cant recreate , you must change a big part
@@RookySteed I agree that it's a limited tool. The minimum time you can replace is 10 seconds I think. Hopefully they'll improve it soon.

I want to change lyrics in the chorus, which means at least three times I need to change, and then I found that once I change one part, when I highlight the next section of chorus, the lyrics does not show the right lyrics. it shows around 20 seconds before. I cannot change the lyrics therefore.
You might be able to use Extend instead, although the song may end up changing a little. It'd be like this: >> Go to your song in the Library >> Extend button >> Choose the timestamp for where the changes begin >> add all your updated lyrics, plus all the unchanged lyrics that follow after >> Extend a few times and see if any Extended versions come out that you like Let me know: A) if it works, or B) if not, did it get closer to what you were going for even if it wasn't an exact fit?
Hello, thank you for your instructions. Is there also a way to completely remove the sontext so that only the instrumental remains?
@@JackTheRipperTH-cam Yes, go to the song in your Library, click the 3 vertical dots icon, go to Get Stems
You might get away with replacing a single section, but trying to do a replace on the modified output for a different section doesn’t seem to work. It can’t seem to track where the lyrics are past the edit very well.
@@smurfythesmurf Were you trying to replace the same section that already was replaced, or is it a different section of the song the 2nd time around?
@ Different section. It might have to do with where the replacement was needed. Before and after a bridge/fill. The pink selection area is not big enough to expand to both ends. That’s one problem. The other problem is that the lyric wasn’t a continuation thru the bridge. It ended before the bridge, but Suno wouldn’t select it because it thought it was after. Yeah, ik my description might be a little confusing 😅
@ Let’s say I wanted to change a lyric “hello there”…. Was like: hello there-(bridge)--person. But the lyric selection wasnt big enough because it thought: hello-(bridge)there person. The selection box wasn’t wide enough to cover “hello there” because of that.
@ And if I just selected the lyrics before the bridge, I would end up with too many words in the output. Trying to go back in to remove the extra would just have the same problem
@@smurfythesmurf I have an idea you can try, let me know if this solves it: >> Use Replace Section in the original track for only the part before the bridge and get that section to how you like it >> Confirm Replace Section for the best replacement track that you received >> Now that you've replaced the pre-bridge lyrics find the timestamp in your new track where you want to start replacing the post-bridge lyrics. (Just do this using the play button, don't use Replace Section for this part) >> Click on "Extend" on your new track in the either the Create or Library view >> Input the timestamp into your Extend prompt you determined in the previous step >> Put in your new lyrics for the post-bridge, as well as ALL of the tags and lyrics that come after this section >> Create 4-6 extended tracks and review >> Hopefully you'll find something that works. If you do, go to the extended track use the Get Whole Song feature I hope this helps! Let me know if you're able to get something worth keeping out of it.
I'm expeirencing the same problem that you discuss at 34:33. I do it exactly like you instructed but Suno goes out side of the selected Lyrics and changes inflection and in some cases entire segements of the song . You mention just rolling with the changes BUT in this case SUNO took out what I liked most about the song . I can send you a link if you want to see what I mean. Also now I'm trying to start again with full correct lyrics and Suno keeps using the old lyrics. HELP :)

Hi there - new to Suno and LOVE your video. Especially because I made a mistake in my lyrics but got a version of the entire song that love and don't want to lose. HOWEVER, when I follow your instructions, I can't get all the words to highlight - as I stretch out the red bars, lyrics don't show fully on the left even though they are highlighted on the right. There's also a weird gray vertical bar showing up that I don't understand. On one attempt I did FINALLY get it to include the lyrics I want to change but when it typed in the new lyrics it changed everything else too - even though I had the "Make same length as selection" checked. I am having the same issues and the lyrics section onf the left does not appear.. and there is no way to change the words
@@WuAhGestudioproduction I had that problem when it repeated my lyrics from another section (ex. I had Chorus section and Suno added 2nd Chorus section right after). You might have to find each place in the song that has the lyrics that you want to replace (such as the first time it appears) and try highlighting that area. Let me know if that helps. It can be tricky to get it to do what you want sometimes! Like it has a mind of its own.
@@CB-AI My problem is that the lyrics does not even appear when you highlight the song
Can an "Intro" and "Outro" be added to an already existing song. If so, how. Thanks.
@@LuanneRH The Intro is tricky, but I found you can use the Replace Lyrics feature and choose the first 10 seconds of the song. Then add your Intro prompt and make sure the "Make same length as selection" button is unchecked. You'll probably have to play around with it to get it to come put the way you like. To add an Outro, it's more straightforward. Go to Create (or your Library) >> Find the song you want to add the Outro to >> to the left of the "Public" button is a button that says "Extend," click it >> Use the prompt to add your Outro criteria and choose what timestamp to extend from >> Extend the song >> Decide which extended track you like >> For the extended track, click on the vertical 3 dots icon to the right >> Hover mouse over Create >> Click "Get Whole Song"

Can a verse be added in the middle of a song I'm no expert on this app or any other app but I've been working on a song for several days and I would really like to keep the music and beat it has created.
@LuanneRH I believe you can do it if you pick at least 10 seconds of the section where you want to add the verse, and uncheck the "Make same length as selection" button. If your selected section has some lyrics at the beginning or end that you'd like to keep, be sure to keep those words before and/or after the Verse you are adding. If you are now subscribing their plan, can you monetize the result of your song from using persona(from a song you generate before on a basic tier)?
@@JoelOng-y8e Hi Joel, I am looking into this and will get back to you with my thoughts today.
I want to clarify that I am not a qualified legal counsel, so please keep in mind when reading my response that it's just my opinion based on research. For formal answers to copyright ownership questions, please consult with a qualified attorney in your region who specializes in music business. My understanding of the question is that you did the following: - generated a song on the Basic (free) tier - created a Persona from the Basic tier song - then subscribed to either a Pro or Premier subscription - created new songs from the Persona that was made with a Basic tier song - The question is: Based on all this, can you monetize the songs made with the Persona? I believe, but am not 100% certain, you can monetize in this situation if you use different lyrics than the original, because you would be creating new songs with a paid plan based on the "essence" of the original song, not minor variations of the same song. Suno says the following in their policies about new songs created with paid plans: "If you are a paying subscriber to Suno, then you own the songs you generate while subscribed to Pro or Premier, subject to your compliance with Suno’s Terms of Service." This page offers additional ownership guidance based on tracks created from pre-existing, copyrighted material. help.suno.com/en/articles/2871105 With all this being said, I recommend checking with Suno directly to make sure. It's a tricky question because of the fact that you'd be using a Persona built with a song from the Free plan. You can reach out to them directly here to ask: support@suno.com Alternatively, you could try to create a new song that has a similar essense/vibe as the one you previously made while using the Basic plan, and then use the new song to create a new Persona, thus avoiding this complicated scenario all-together. Again, this is just my opinion, and can't be construed as legal advice, but I hope it helps as you work through this scenario!
