Low budget garage makeover is complete.
For the past several weeks I have been turning my cluttered, unpainted, unsightly garage into a space I wanted to actually spend time in again. With the particle board walls and ceiling, open shelves exposing all the things, and my previous obsession with hanging everything on the walls the space felt cramped and I felt like I was working in a pine box. So with a quick trip to Walmart and Home Depot, as well as purging tons of stuff to the local dump, we turned this space into a modern looking and functional garage again. This was all possible due to you, my subscribers and TH-cam watchers. I always said I would try and reinvest into the channel and I am doing just that. So hopefully when you return to Mac's Boneyard Builds the shop will be a little more appealing to the eye. If you haven't, don't forget to hit that like and subscribe button. It only takes a second and helps projects like this take place.

    • @macsboneyardbuilds
      @macsboneyardbuilds 10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Over charging alternators is usually caused by the voltage regulator on the alternator. I couldn't see 3 different alternators having bad regulators. But GM also had the battery control module on the negative cable on later years. May want to try swapping that out. Did you try and clean up all the grounds you can find. Bad grounds will create havoc on all types of battery behavior

    Before engines had forced crankcase ventilation, natural ventilation through a breather cap to relieve the crankcase pressure was more than adequate. These days, with the lighter oils and the forced crankcase ventilation equipment, oil mysteriously disappears. I eliminated my forced crankcase ventilation and went back to the old style, using breather caps. Before I did that, I was mysteriously losing a quart of oil every 1,000 miles or less. Since doing that, I hardly use any oil at all. I know that in some states this would be a problem but where I live it isn't.😊

    • @macsboneyardbuilds
      @macsboneyardbuilds หลายเดือนก่อน

      @86calcutta yes, older gauges and sensors are going to give off not true readings. That's why if you see low oil pressure for example, the first thing to do is to check with a mechanical test gauge. A lot of times, it's not actually low. It's just a bad reading. Plus, aftermarket sensors, even new Delco parts, are known to be cheaply made and not as reliable as they were 20 years ago.

    If you want to get it all out after you do that while the concrete is still wet sprinkle on a heavy coating of Ajax and let it set overnight. Wash off the next day at concrete will be bright and light

    This is what people need to see more of! Realistic builds that most people can afford on a working mans budget. Thanks for documenting the process and illustrating the costs.
