THANKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey, that does look a whole lot better than the grey whatever-they-call-it stuff, of which I have plenty. I've seen another youtuber use walnut husks and it turned it all a nice brown in a near boil, so depending on where you live... Playing paintball in the woods behind my house, my cousin said the grey stuff was still really hard to see. I'm guessing that the digital breakup of whatever color plays a crucial role that may be more influential in being stealthy. That UCP or whatever is the only stuff that's really super affordable. I'd guess the blue digital that the Navy adopted is really cheap, too. That would be interesting to test dye to see if you can get a really dark breakup using some king of green or brown. Good stuff, man! I'm subbed now. Thanks for the vid even if it's a year ago, haha!
Praying
hi good videos i’m watching them now found you on hampshire and survival channel i’m based in uk dartmoor and have a new channel only been out 4 months my dad and uncle served with the paras etc i couldn’t join as i found out i was colour blind may see you on a live at micks channel 🤟🤟
@ELUSIVEDARTMOOR yes thank you my dad was there In ww2 and uncles and thank you for watching I will check out your channel and sub cheersfrom the states
@@observationpostcharlie1365 ah nice runs in the family thanks yeah sub yours the other day always good to see how you guys do things to in us 🤟🤟
I like it going to do my ACU pants, shirtand LBV.
Prayers coming your way Top.
@@pop401k thank you
I like it! Been using a Russian/German/Hungarian style for years; but I think this might be better! Thanks for the info!!
Welcome
Nice setup thx for sharing
Thank you and thank you for watching
Uffta Ya You Betcha my friend! Seriously I will definitely pray for you. I hope all is okay with your health. Yeah I almost bought a little radio at Runnings but I wasn't sure. Walmart has them even. But not sure what's good, and what the GMRS means. I want to get one with weather and it would be cool to listen to ham radio etc, even if I can't talk. But I don't know if those ones have that. I do have a little Cobra that has 19 CB channels but that's it. Mostly I just want one for listening, and emergency communication. Nice job on the camo! I like it! I will keep you in my prayers daily.
Marty go to amazon I would recommend highly the baofang gmrs radio then also get a gmrs 771 antenna and thank you for the prayers brother
The baofeng gm15 or the radiooditty gm30 are both great
@@observationpostcharlie1365 OK I'll probably just pick one up at Walmart or Runnings 'cause I like to look at them. I'm not a big Amazon guy LOL
Looking very nice Top! I Haven't dyed any of my current gear yet... but your SAW pouch (bottom left) looks about perfect to me... I'm a sucker for "dark khaki/mud earth".
@pop401k me to sir I'm a late child for my family my dad was a ww2 man of the big red 1 I use to play with the bely an a couple of pouches and canteen until I got a lill older and realized how important this gear was witch was cleaned up and put away my older brother witch was still in the army brought me some new gear he had picked up on base God bless you sir
Have you mixed colors just to see what youd get??
If you mix orange and green, you'll get a really nice dark khaki. Too adventurous? Try 1 bottle apple green and 2 Tbsp dark brown (Rit mustard green).
I like green dying OCP’s, really breathes more specific niche into those
Thank you brother
Evening Mike what colour was it before ..Sam 👍🇬🇧
@@Yorkshireoutdoorsandsurvival it was. American acu sage color and grey
Awesome Mike do you think that. Dye would work on mtp. Camo as well..
Stop! Rit is a gateway dye. Next you'll be tromping through the woods looking for walnut hulls. I've spent 30 years chasing the dye dragon, hanging out around campfires, boiling cloth. Sure a little music and tanic acid sounds cool, but next thing you know you'll be looking for IR Compliant dye in an alley

Hahaha!!!! Love it! Have you considered rehab?

Keep up the good content 👍🏻
The side poles shouldn’t poke out of the top of the fabric pole tunnels. At the open end of each pole tunnel, there is a small piece of thick stitching. Push each side pole fully into its tunnel, then rest it against the stitching. No more poking-out poles, and better tension 👍
@@garybutcher4585 ok thsnk you

Looks good to me! I carry a 2qt collapsible in my pack, but you could use a 2 liter pop bottle too, just not as durable. Camelbacks are nice, but the tubes, valves etc. make good places for mold to grow. I like to follow the KISS principle.
@pop401k I do as well I do have a 2 quart collapsible canteen as well I carry in My ruck thank you an God bless
Nice setup thx for sharing
@@SurvivalSavvvy thank you for watching have a great day
Such a great and convenient chest rig, wonderful set up for a long trip
@@vanhainguyen439 thank you and thank you for watching
...Am I right or left handed, what am I likely to need first/most etc. It's your stuff, arrange it the way YOU like it. One exception might be IFAK (aid kit), so everybody in the group is in the same location; saving time in emergencies.
@pop401k fist aid should be marked and where you as well as other know where it is ugly same area if you are right handed you would want your ammo on your left easily access and if you are left handed it would just be reversed ammo on right an so forth
Keeping it under 25 lbs is a goal!! Keep in mind "survival is in your pockets, camping is in your bag"!!!! Thanks!! ❤✌️🤝👍👍💪🥾🫡🎯
@user-gn7zy5rc4l yes I come from lrp so we did things a lil different but yes in your pockets an some on your gear redundancy
Thanks for sharing the idea
Thank you for watching
Very nice chest rig and kit Mike! So just wondering what type of radio do you have? Is it like a CB walkie-talkie or short wave radio? I'm thinking about getting a little radio to have in my pack just for emergency communication. I'm just a putz and learning lots of this stuff and just like to enjoy the outdoors, though I would like to learn more about being prepared and ready to defend my country if ever needed, and I agree it's good to have gear in your pack and on your body, because you never know when you might lose your pack. Great video my friend!
Thank you
@MartysRamblings2024 but just switched over to murrs no license needed
@MartysRamblings2024 mart if I may suggest a good murs radio with a goo after market antenna make shure to check the customers reviews and make shure it's tuned for that band with 252 mgs to 254
Very cool Mike! I make most of my little stoves etc, but I need to get one of them next time I'm in a military surplus store. Nice windscreen. Great job.🙂
@MartysRamblings2024 thank you brother I need to try your diet
Thanks mang!
great set up!
I want to get one of those. I only got a little pot for freeze dried or dehydrated stuff
My highpoint never jammed even once. Plus the bolt manually locks open. That stock is much nicer than factory
Ya, sound a little weird, but a good vid. Im going to use that pencil sharpener and small stick idea in two days.
Very informative. I have collected some of the same things.
Thanks man
Good advice brother
@@lifesahobby thank you
good enough, that is similar to my H harness for standing guard duty over my home and family, thanks much from Bob in Seattle
Always enjoy your perspective! Not surprisingly, our set-ups are very similar in most cases. Generally, I've got my FLC which I use for about everything. I can throw on a slick plate carrier if needed, and add a rucksack (3 day molle assault: either cinched down or extra pouches added) depending on the mission. I'm old enough that I won't be going too far from home. If I have to go away, I've got an 18" round shoulder duffel (gym-style) bag for extras.
Thank you sir we're you former military just curious
