It depends how many times you turn it if you turn it all the way you can get 700 or more and depending on the upgrades you have done to the engine

how much did this cost you to do? I'm looking at a dump truck that has a new iv in it but I don't want any issues, also do I need to do this if I'm only at 400hp?
It cost me somewhere around 2500. The radiator alone was 1700. It’s a 5 roll radiator. I got that at Detroit radiator. website or you can call. you should be fine with a 400 hp dump truck before we converted this engine to a high flow. It used to be a low flow and we used to pull two trailers 105 500 pounds it did OK. We pull some long heavy hills there was times when it got hot we just have to downshift and take it easy but if you’re a heavy foot guy and you do not want to slow down, you do need a converted to a high flow I like these engines because they’ll never give you problems with any electronic crap, simple, and easy to work on
Yes you need to do it at 400 hp. I had a 335 hp up in canada and it was always overheating. Converted it and turned it up to 450 runs nice and cool now.

Are you talking about the water manifold that goes on the back you shouldn’t change your original all you need to do is change the front piece the rest stays the same or are you missing the back piece?

4 turns out from stock and a 4 degree advance, I’m pushing 35 lbs of boost with OR8785 marine nozzles, a BullyDog Stage II turbo, and a heavier dozer spring on the AFRC.

La linea dual es una buena elección y si perfora la bola del eje del acelerador y jira maximo 2 vueltas en sentido antihorario vera una aumento de potencia considerable. Para aumentar un poco mas de potencia le puede cambiar la rueda compressora de aire al turbo ht60 ó ht3b por una rueda billet de 11 paletas o ( 11 blade) tendras un monstruo de big cam
Entonces en cierto que conectando la linea de los inyectores por ambos extremos mejora pero al instalar las 2 linea a los cabezotes ai que ajustar el tornillo que esta sobre el eje de aceleración
Un big cam 3 puede impulsar bñ unn turbo hibrido como el que comentas o nesesitaria muchss mejoras respecto a la inyeccion
Saludos, al cambiar el resorte aumento mucho las rpm. Ese resorte controla solo las rpm. El cambio del boton aunenta la presion del riel a los inyectores. Al mover el tornillo de afc lo que logra es que heche demasiado humo negro y hace que se rompan las camaras.

I got a question, i have a cummins nhc 250, 855 and it won't idle under 1300, at start up it will idle at 600 for 20 seconds, then jumps up to 1300rpms and stays thier. I adjusted idle at pt pump, I've turned down 3 times, and each time idle at 600 then jump up, adjusted again, idle at 500 then jump up on its own, adjusted again, idle at 500 and jump up to 1300 rpms, i can shut truck off, start up and idle at 600, then 20 seconds it jumps up to 1300 on its own and stay right thier. I'm not sure, it don't act like getting air, because don't stumble at all, everytime I start it, it starts right up, no hesitation.
Did you check the pressure on your fuel pump and check your main fuel line? Make sure there’s not a small hole maybe getting air bubbles lacking the fuel pump a fuel

Yes Everything should fit a 444 is the same as a Big cam besides the increase of horsepower and valve covers and some fancy stuff here and there but everything should fit

Yes, you can turn it a little bit. If you like the result, you can leave it alone or if you want more smoke you open it a little bit more.

The radiator was most expensive of all the parts $1500. The rest of the parts may be 700.
Hi can I get more smokey smoke from the afc without messing with the screws. I want smoke but I’m happy with my stock power it doesn’t get hot and I’m happy
While rotating the crank take out the glow plugs if installed engine will be easy to rotate
If you show me where they are at I would remove them. But it doesn't take a rocket scientist to tell that you have no idea what you're talking about
as a Cat tech you don't do this unless you know what you are doing and have the proper tools that is not here and they don't always turn 1 for 1 that is the FLS FTS settings there is a measurements that this goes to but if people would like to do it this way I am happy to rebuild eng. when you destroy it. and if you get emissions and the seal tag is not there like in video it wont pass and if a mechanic is caught doing adjustments improperly its a nice EPA fine.
Hey Bud we stopped caring about emissions back in the 60’s Those screws adjust the smiles per gallon and nothing more here.
I always had a known Caterpillar mechanic do all of the injection system adjustments on my mechanical and electronic Cats. I never had any trouble with them.

What kind of HP increase is four turns
I’m not 100% sure since I don’t have a way to measure horsepower but guessing anywhere from 50 HP 80 HP if you turn those screws all the way out you can get well over 600 hp, but it gets hot don’t get greedy or you’re blow it up.

Heavy highway parts and LTA and heavy duty pros that’s where I get most of my aftermarket parts from injectors, rebuilt kits
They don't have injectors the have nozzles but the best thing is to match your turbo with your nozzles sorta like a cam and lifters on a V8 gas motor

@@michaelsetliff1926 Make sure your nozzles match your piston tops , you don't want to burn holes in your tops because they don't match
2 dashes to 2 dots is to time acc drive. Crank also has timing mark for cam to be in right place. Also setting engine,there is a tc on acc driive. Dont use it with engine set. A 1-6 B 2 OR 5 C 3OR 4. 153624. OBD METHOD 72 inchpounds on injector,14 intake,27 on exhaust all done on same cyl same time. Old method is 5 inch on injector,and another cylinder is intake 11 and exgaust 23 i think.
I think I get what you are saying in which I argued this at Cummins school ever since they came out with topstop injectors. If the topstop wasn't adjusted correctly you would put too much pressure on the cam and follower by adjusting it on the inner base circle of the cam if you adjust it on the outer base circle of the cam you will never put too much pressure on the cam thus preventing premature cam failures but I have to say it's been many years since I've had a BC IV apart brings back memories when you could do a complete in-frame for less money than a set of injectors costs today
@@davidsignor7931 also adjusting this way , you can tell when a cam lobe is peeling off on injector. Yes parts today are a fright. N14 uses same method, forcing injector down,backing off 2 hexes, 14, and 27 on valves same cylinder.
@kriscalverley2131 exactly and back in the day you could tell that also the N14 was a whole new thing I can honestly say that I have never replaced a camshaft in a N14 where I can't say that for the small cams up to the big cams IV and timing those engines was not a quick process like it is on today's ISX or X15

Put a duel, fuel line and 15 button on your PT pump change your governor spring and drill out the throttle tamper ball and turn it six turns counterclockwise and AFC screw and I think you should be good around 450 to 500 I think I recommend a EGT gauge keep your temperature 1200 1300 anything above this your melt your pistons their aluminum

Yes, turbo helps to the stock turbo handles up to 550 but if you wanna upgrade turbo, that depends what you want on your truck
