Look at that... OMG it's brown.... What do you expect from an oil dipped paper filter?
Bro got new calipers and a new cut🙏🏻
Well done
Thank you!
Very good. Looks cool as well, but I’m worried if it rains what will happen ?
No amount of rain that can enter through the filter would be enough to damage the engine or anything - unless, of course, you purposely try pressure washing straight at it for minutes on end. But, in rain, heavy or light, Dan from BimmerHaus says there should be no problem at all. If you are concerned, you can always use the included filter sock for peace of mind.
More importantly how much more power gains are achieved. When can we find a solution to get the HP gains without our nice German sports cars sounding like trucks - without electric motor of course ?
Honestly, I'm not too sure if there are any real power gains from just a resonator and muffler delete, but I could be wrong! For this specific car, actually, if you only install a catless downpipe and keep the entire exhaust system stock, these mufflers are so powerful that you won't even hear a whisker of a sound, and you're guaranteed to make more power by removing the catalytic converter, which will also allow you to tune the car. Take a look at one of my other videos where I actually had the same setup, this may be what you're looking for.
. YOOOOOOOOOCAR NEWS AMAZING
YEAHHHH BROOOOO there is SO much to catch up on when you come visit 🤯🤯
I've heard on these cars if you ever want to take the engine oil pan off, the subframe gets in the way. Can you confirm that next time you do an oil change?
I haven't actually heard that before... I'll be changing the oil soon, though, so I'll keep y'all informed!
I enter the code for the 20% but did not work. Could you please provide the code?
Hey, we've been working on this for a bit with Safety Restore - we're trying to fix it right now. Please bear with us!
What size did you get for the tips? Like the Input and output
I got a 2.5-inch inlet and a 4-inch outlet. I don't exactly remember the millimetric conversion, but it was 2.5 and 4 inches, inlet and outlet, respectively.
@@MotoRevs thank you I appreciate it 🙏🏻
Hey what did you do for your brake setup ? I’m currently looking to upgrade can you help guide me?
Hey! My brakes are actually stock, except for my rotors and pads. My calipers are the stock, 4 piston brakes. They were an optional extra back in 2013, as most F10 535is were equipped with much smaller front brakes. I have a video reviewing the rotors and pads (R1 Concepts Geo-Carbon Drilled and Slotted Rotors and European Ceramic Pads). I love them! I have more info on that video, if you wanna check it out.
Has anyone had any problems with exhaust leaking with this downpipe? I just installed my original back on and the sound is gone. (2012 f10 n55) I can't feel any air with my hand, but cold start and definitely under load next to a divider wall I can hear it.
You know what, actually? Yes. I have experienced this. I have a leak somewhere and assumed it was near the resonator. Never even thought the downpipe could be a suspect. Now I'm gonna have to check around it. Thanks for this comment; what made you notice t was the downpipe?
@@MotoRevs After installing the downpipe I could hear the leak when in a garage going up. When I throttle up lightly I can not hear it, but when the load is more than ~25% I can hear the pressure escaping. It makes it sound trashy. Under the car, I cannot feel the air leak, but I can feel the sound when touching the downpipe. The cause might simply be the thin steel used in construction. My next step is finding a cheap OEM downpipe and gutting it to see how it sounds.
That is 100% spot-on, exactly my situation. Did you use or put a new gasket onto the turbo when installing the downpipe? I'm thinking that may be the issue. I don't actually think I have a gasket there, and that may very well be the issue. 😬
@@MotoRevs I considered the seal but... there was no soot on the sealing surfaces when I most recently took the downpipe out, I couldn't feel the leak with my hand, and, installing the original pipe resolved the issue. However, I did battle with the rest of the exhaust sliding off the downpipe several times. I had always assumed that was the issue I was experiencing. I did resolve that by removing the "inverted moon" piece from the middle of the clamp. After that it was clear to me there was another problem.
Unfortunate I have different OBD adapter. Do they strictly limiting to those OBDs? Or the universal one works also.
I'm actually not 100% sure, but I would most certainly assume it would have to be the MHD adapter. Click the link in the description to see more information about it!
Say man u have make a video on your rev match skills
Haha, thank you! It's actually quite easy with tbis bike as it has a slipper clutch - rev-matching on a bike with a standard clutch is harder, but I've honed my skills over the years. It's hard to explain how I do it. It's pretty much just second nature. I appreciate the comment!
Where in this video did you re bolt the 1 bolt on the inlet? My last step. Giving me big trouble😂
Please make video for the f10 seatbelts change
It's coming soon!
What happens if it rains heavily / other cars throw large amounts of water on the road / carwash? Any problems or potential issues?
Lol. Really a car wash 🧼 will be interesting as well😆
No amount of rain that can enter through the filter would be enough to damage the engine or anything - unless, of course, you purposely try pressure washing straight at it for minutes on end. But, in rain, heavy or light, Dan from BimmerHaus says there should be no problem at all. If you are concerned, you can always use the included filter sock for peace of mind.
Hey, great video! Would you have the part # for the oil change kit? Thanks
Thank you! I do; the part number is 90238015010 for the parts, and the oil comes separately. I can't seem to find the exact kit I used, it seems as if though KTM may have either discontinued or updated it.
Hello Daniel. Thanks for the video. I got a question: I saw that when you go in reverse it brings up the car camera automatically, but does it keep it on for a while when you go on drive too? I have the 360 degrees cameras and it very useful when you are in tight parking spots and you go back and forth to have them on all the time.
Yes, it stays on up until around 12 mph, or something like that. It's literally a perfect OEM-like setup. It functions completely as if though it were like that from the factory. But, with BimmerCode, you can also change how that whole function behaves, so you can really fine-tune it to what you want.
Any drone ? I was with sport mufflers and catless dp but i had a lot of drone and it was too loud. Now i'm with stock mufflers and thinkig to delete the resonator.
No, no drone at all! The stock mufflers are SO powerful that even with a catless downpipe and a resonator delete, you couldn't feel or hear any drone at all. In fact, the reason I updated my exhaust setup is because the stock mufflers, like I said, are so muffling and good at their job, I really had no sound, and couldn't hear anything. It's insane how good they are. But to answer your question, you wont have any drone at all, but, you may also not have any sound, either.
How long did it take
I'd say the entire process took me about 5 or 6 hours. The most difficult part for sure was wiggling the stock downpipe off, and making the RVG downpipe reach the turbo while also being on the exhaust. It was tricky, so it took me a bit.
This amount of work for two color stripes? Ehhhhh
🥱
Thanks for watching!
I have similar R1 pads and rotors on my Z3 and so far I'm impressed...
I love mine! Really pleased with them. I've been considering trying another one of their lines of pads, maybe see which I like most.
I work for BMW you dont need to waste time pulling the bumper 😂 the F series grills are just clipped in you just gotta pull em harder than you expect. Just make sure it all pulls off at once cause when you release the top then pull out the bottom thats when you stress and break clips.
Thanks for your comment - I removed the bumper to fully access the V-Brace Strut Bars, as well as fix the grilles, as these are aftermarket and didn't fit in well and stay in from the rear. So, I took off the bumper to make sure they were all clipped in, as well as give me fully clear access to the bars. But, what you said is true. The OEM ones come off and s charm, but these aftermarket ones, not so much...
Rotors are too heavy, not worth it. Pagid 2piece rotors are way better and lighter
535 I gang >
Always 🤞🏻
Bro what tire pressure are you running on
im going to Go ahead and have a go now
Great! Hopefully all goes well.
No link in the description for the splitter
Oh man, I totally forgot! Check now, I just put it. Thanks for pointing that out!
FIRSTSSS COMIINGTES
YESAHHHAH
Your friend's M5 sounds like shit. What idiot tunes their car for LESS power to sound broken?
If you really want it secured Remove the bumper and install the hardware that they gave you for it to be fully secured sometimes the self tapping screws back out, especially in the front where a lot of downforce is applied
I definitely did think about this, but I had just removed the bumper prior, so I was very complacent to doing so. However, so far, so good!
3rd time was the charm for me too! Actually it was the 4th time, when I ordered the RW Carbon lip and it has been great for a year..
Wow, 4 times is pretty high. Although, I think the fourth time may be just perfect for me, too. Stay tuned...
What is the BimmerCode OBD Coding Module for ?
BimmerCode allows you to edit, code, and manipulate multiple aspects of your car's electronics. You can change lights, lighting styles and timing, change the beeps and noises, edit the start-up animation, edit heated seats' temperatures, add and remove hidden features, etc. There's an entire iceberg to it, that was like 1% of it. I highly recommend looking into it, it's such an amazing tool to have.
How much miles on your bmw?
I've just hit 91,000 miles recently!
How do you make ur sound more throaty
Well, I'm not sure what you're referring to. If you wanted a throatier sound, you could install a catless downpipe, and that'd give you a much louder, deeper, fuller sound. You could also experiment with an X-pipe, different setups, etc. Theres a lot you can do; I'd suggest doing some research and trying what you think you'd like.
Good job. Usually around 6.5 is enough. Maybe take you watch off next time.
Great video
Thank you! I appreciate the support.
I would think this setup is not safe for really hot weather climates. It is blocking half the radiator I would suspect the car runs alot hotter , but maybe I’m wrong !!
Actually, you'd be surprised! The total area of the filter and guard isn't really that much in relation to the radiator, and the air does, in fact, still blow in behind it. I've noticed no increase in temperature, even with hard driving in 100⁰+ weather. In fact, I've noticed less heat soaking of the turbo due to the fresh air going straight to it. Obviously, the intercooler is stock and does still suffer a bit, but as for the intake, no downsides the entire time I've had it on.
I don’t have mufflers right now, but I don’t mind the drone it has. If I delete the resonator, will it drone drastically bad? Or not?
How did you eventually get that 2nd oil filter tightened under the car? It's really hard to get a good grip on it to turn tight by hand, huh?
Bro from. Where I can get speed meter for ktm duke 390 mine demage by sun 😢
thanks for the great video! We in Europe have a GPF/OPF filter in the middle of the car. What about yours, do you have a silencer or just a pipe.
first commment!!!! YAYA
What is inlet of those exhaust tips? 70mm?
The inlet size is 63mm, and the outlet size is ~101mm.
@@MotoRevs thank you so much
