My ex-collegaue when who was working with me in a BPO we joined together. I asked what's his previous salary and why he left previous company. Our company payed way below what he was earning in byjus and he was quite good in his job too. First time he answered due to work pessure and higher sales target, so he left byjus. After few months he opened and shared, how predatorily company sale tactics. From day 1 they were taught to target students as useless, not fit, not promising, cannot compete in todays world. Even if the kid knows the answer, when asked suddenly students get offcaught and struggle to answer or don't answer and that was their trump card. In one of his counselling session one of the parent slapped his child for not answering one question right in front of him. He felt bad after that and so he decided to leave. Targeting parents with words like 'you are engineer/doctor but your son will not even become janitor in his current condition'. Luckily here in this case, the parent took the blow. That father saw through their farce.

One time, I just tried out Byju's after I saw an AD by Mohanlal. During lockdown, I used to get spam calls and stuff, and one day they arranged this "Demo" meeting, first one guy joined he like taught me Factorisation... I actually understood shit, then I said i didn't understand... That's when some other guy joined the meeting and kept bugging me to buy some 1.5 lakhs of subscription. I said no, he started calling me malayalam cuss words like this guy, but the thing is his cuss words are used by toddlers. I got offended a bit tho, then I said "Sir, sorry sir" after 2 seconds i just started calling him professional level cuss words: "Da panna naayinte mone, ninakk janmam thanna ninte thallente aduth para sorry, ninte kunna medikkum, kunna, ninte andi teaching enikkonnum venda, ninakk theri ariyoda thayoli myre? nee poyi ninte mantonte kunna oombada kunne!" Then bro left the meeting and the first guy said "I will report you!" i just asked who is he going to report to? his daddy??

I also got trapped by them in 2018 when i was in 6th class, byjus conducted a exam in school and ten they reached every parent and called mine too, my parents are teachers too and they want to give me more opportunities to gain more knowledge so they confirmed a meeting with them and then the person came to our house, he talked a lot even ate a lot 😂😂 asked me about useless and few complex concepts and tried portraying me dumb at first that the kids at his age are way advanced to whom we teach then he asked basic things and trying to portray that i have potential and i am smart and even gave me a test of 6th class, i was unable to score much and get scholarship. He literally just to get me enrolled gave me 5th class test 😂 in that i got some marks and then he started talking about plans he even said that “WE ARE ON MISSION TO FIND THESE REAL GEMS IN THESE STREETS” and said he is very impressed by me and want to give me extra scholarship from his own end, how much i remember it was 5 year plan till 10th For 80K just the PRE RECORDED LECTURES ON TAB IN 2018 BTW. Firstly my parents were determined not to agree to enroll easily but me fool got attracted by tablet and stuff started insisting them and at the end my mother just for my better learning agreed and paid. When the tab came starting days were promising but then after few days my mother found that the PRE RECORDED LECTURES were too fancy with those animations but its not very easily understandable as they were using advanced english and not explaining in a easy way rather complex which is hard to understand for a normal kid too i had to rewatch same thing many times due to which i was not using it much (Although my english was bad then but still those types of lectures are still not understandable 😂) and Secondly it wasn’t benefiting alot as they were going too much out of context which is not suitable for any average kid and the main important topics which are asked in exams were not given importance. My parents found its a waste of money soon so they started to talk to return it. But they just REFUSED at first and even the Person who came to my house said I QUIT THE COMPANY, but he was acting so hard being a kind person helping us out by giving numbers and stuff and even sometimes telling my parents to JUST ACCEPT IT?! this got extended till first installment was automatically paid through the bank account then it was more harder for us to get refund but then my parents took action straightaway called concerned authorites and then finally they said to post that to us (Bengaluru) btw i am from Punjab (AT YOUR OWN CHARGES) but then also my parents agreed. Even then after 6-8 Months the money got refunded with some cuts. I still think that guy didn’t quit he was just acting 😅

My father paid around 80k for this fraud disgusting useless app, once i downloaded this app when i was in 7th then my father got call from them for session , and i said no need for my father but my father still called them to home and similarly as in video they asked me few question like area of square , cylinder ,some physics question like gravity etc i answered almost all of them like for gravity thing i said like its 9.8m/s2 on earth and its changes for moon ,other planets and then he asked tell me definition i said like its an attraction by earth due to its large mass etc still he act like he didnt satisfied and tried to prove my answer is wrong and explained to my father that im not studying fully etc and my father believed that rubbish.And after they gave the price breakdown, I said an immediate NO to my father, but he didn't believe in me. I tried to explain to my father that I have good knowledge and I don't need this, but my father paid 80k to them as a monthly installment. My father's salary was 35k, and at that time he had to pay mine and my sister's and school fees too, which were around 50k per year, and my father used to scold me every month when 8k got deducted from his account for this Byju's. This app and salesman are rubbish; they don't have ethics. I'm very satisfied when I saw its downfall. Now I'm studying Btech in IIT Patna (definitely not because of BYJU'S) because of my own talent.

This is really awesome work that you are doing!! Man it really made my blood boil especially because the kid was intelligent and they insulted both the dad and the kid. It made me feel worse hearing them curse in Kannada in the end. The same thing happened to me after 10th by Narayana and Chaitanya "counselors". They really tried hard to scare me and my parents into buying their 1 lakh/year integrated 11 and 12th. Thank God that i was adamant to not join tutions. We were very poor that time and my father was ready to take a loan for this.

at 6th/7th/8th 90% of ur time should be spent outdoors playing with friends or mingling with others , thats what i did and still got above average marks , imagine being 12/13 and studying for jee , entering the rat race as earlt as possible 💀💀

Never did tution my whole school life. Never had % in any standard lesser than 91% from 2nd to 12th. You don't need these apps or anything. Class is enough. Don't ruin the childhood of kids. Let them play, let them socialize, and transition into adulthood slowly.
