Secret that will make your DIESEL Truck run FOREVER! | 6.4 fuel filter change
Hello!
Thanks for stopping by! In this video I explain the importance of buying the correct filters for your diesel truck! Then I show how to properly install both the upper and lower fuel filter on a 6.4 power strike as well as how to replace the filter on a Sinister Diesel coolant filtration kit. After performing the work I show the correct fuel system bleed procedure which must be done after changing the fuel filters! If you forget to bleed the fuel system you could spend hours trying to get the air out of it!
At the end of the video I briefly explain the importance of regularly changing fuel filter on a Diesel engine as well as discus the Archoil fuel additive I run.

Are 1A Auto Parts Junk?!?!

Hello, Thanks for stopping by! In this video I am replacing the worn out idler arm on my 1998 Ford F-150. The old idler arm that I had installed just two years ago was so worn out it was down right dangerous to drive the truck! It was so bad that the inner tie rod end was hitting the frame!!! This led me to ask the question "Are parts from 1A Auto junk?" I replaced the old idler arm with a bran...

    Yes. I feel this has happened to me. Let's put this into perspective. #1. It's January 2025 my for ever truck an 08 Ford F350 Superduty just blew a head gasket a 15K fix. Did I say my forever truck? Deleted DPF and Deleted E.G.R. With a CCV catch can mod. Been running great then poof I have a coolant leak that I can't seem to find but it's real nothing in the crank or oil in the coolant I'm down 355 mil. in 30 miles and know white smoke? Still, has pressure in the coolant system the next morning? A teardown + some mods like ARP studs and performance "O" ringed heads hardened seats maybe bronze guides etc... The bulletproof valve covers with oil sprayers possibly lower-end APR rod studs and nuts. And modified oil cooler. Possibly in line coolant filter. Money is an option. I don't want to but steel pistons may be needed. 136K original miles DPF and EGR delete at 120 miles. Never raced 4000-mile services. Stock or tow tune. I'm torn😢.bumed out thought I could beat the stats.😂😂😂

    We all started out as kids ruining our cars. I got lucky and started twisting wrenches at 13. Plus, my dad forced me to learn trouble shooting by sabotaging my 64 jeep to stop me from running the town at 16. He on his way to being a competent mechanic. I retired from professional twisting in 2010.

    I used to be a ford master tech and the 6.4 is a good engine. The only problems that hurt are the emissions junk that really doesn't work, the dual thermostat, and the regeneration programming that made it a flame thrower. With you being California, there's not too much you can do about that other than a reprogram to fix the flame thrower and thermostat. Here in Wyoming, I've seen these get great fuel mileage after a delete. Over 20 mpg. With proper maintenance, they can go forever. The 6.0l can last problem free with proper oil change intervals, branch fitting on the hipo pump, and head studs.

    That is, the siphon continued with the fuel tank cap on or off and with the filter cap on or off.

  • @kenhunt4356
    @kenhunt4356 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    One experience I had was making the mistake of changing fuel filters on a full tank of fuel. The lower filter started siphoning fuel from the tank, even with the cap on or removed. I tried breaking the siphon by slightly loosening the filter cap, but that didn't work and the o-ring stuck and came partially out of the groove. Only choice was to take a diesel bath and quickly get the filter changed to stop the siphon leak. Next time will change it on a much lower fuel level.

    OEM parts are vended from a different manufacturer. You can buy other branded filers that have the notch, hole and membrane over the filter element. I change my filers every 5k miles along with my oil. So, cost is important to me. Plus, a lot of times, OEM parts you pay for the name. Ford itself is not going to filter fuel, just saying. I just turned 222k using this system and deleted as well. I also use a fuel treatment at every fill up. Thanks for the video!

    Congratulations, you just damaged your wheel bearing dust shield. You have an impact driver and you literally remove the two bolts holding the caliper to the knuckle and disconnect the outer tie rod end. Pop the dust shield off and you have so much access for that ball joint nut. Rent a wheel bearing press kit and a rubber mallet to lightly tap it back in and you won't distort it like you did. You might as well replace those tie rods too since they're cheap.

    I ordered a wheel bearing from 1A Auto for my mechanic to press in and it did not fit the car. I had to quickly go to the local auto parts and pay a higher price for one. I had no choice as they had my car apart already. I had the part at home way past the time they’d allow for a refund. They would send me a second one but I had to return the old one with return shipping at my expense. The replacement would be the same exact model number according to my car. No way to know if they had a screw up in their computers or someone mistakenly put the wrong part in that one box. Either way, the new part was already installed and would not fit on the other side.
