Predominantly focused on MGB restorations and upgrades. I have two MGB roadsters one was a complete rebuild and the second one is a partial rebuild. My channel covers bodywork, and mainly the mechanics of a restoration.
Tied in with this is some upgrades, like fitting a supercharger, instrumentation, brakes upgrades and quite a bit of electrical work which is not my favorite aspect of restoration work.
About me: - My name is Marty semi-retired, moving into full time retirement after several years as a Machinery Engineer in the Oil and Gas industry. I'm following my passion working on what are now classic cars, focused on the MG brand. My restoration journey isn't going to be hard core concours MGBs it's going to be me just building them to the standard I want to with the modifications I see as beneficial. There will be some modifications to hopefully make the vehicle look better run more reliably.

I’m incapacitated for a couple of weeks due to an eye operation; I've now had two corneal transplants and cataracts removed. However, on the brighter side of things my sight in my now good eye is magnificent.
My rear axle drum to disc conversion has arrived, and I’m waiting for some parts for the windscreen. Hang in there, normal service will resume as soon as possible.

This is how I have learnt to fit the MGB bottom windscreen seal the easy way. Sorry not much talking during this video, lots of focus required to get this right. Took as long as the video is to do, approx five minutes with two minutes of talking and a revisit. no speed up of the shoot.

First you have to remove the windscreen............... Fun. I've done this once before, however the vinyl covering came off in one piece, this time it came off in several pieces because it was all cracked and damaged, I had to find a simple way to make a template so I only cut the vinyl once and don't end up throwing the new vinyl in the bin. This is a simple how-to video.

Show time, spent the day at the Ascot Race course in WA. Wide variety of quality vehicles on display. Got some really good comments about my MG, makes it all worthwhile. Grass was super wet and quite boggy, quite a few vehicles got temporarily detained whilst assistance was given.

I’ve decided that it might be easier to upgrade the wiring on my 1974 MGB to 1977 wiring, a bit more complicated however should be easier to install, I hope!!! Also modifying the 1977 centre console to take extra gauges.

This is my 100th video and it’s about the servo rebuild on my MGB which started because my engine was running rough, I found the issue to be my servo apparently leaking so I replaced it with a new one and stripped my old one to find out what the problem was. Time to try out my new (small) hand grinder, not the best by any stretch. You get what you pay for….. Cutting the rust out of the floor, time to learn how to (MIG) flux core weld, how hard can this be!!! Cleaning and painting brake and clutch parts together with the heater box (just for you Carsten :) ) Servo has been cleaned up and is now ready for assembly....... I think.

How to bleed the brakes correctly on a late MGB, it’s not the way you might think, it’s not the same as the usual way of doing things, complete reverse actually. Don't forget to disengage the "Pressure Differential Warning Actuator (PDWA)...... View on Specifically for the dual circuit brakes with the servo fitted to the pedal box.

As you might have seen in a previous video I had a suspected leaking servo unit causing the engine to run rough, I purchased a replacement servo with the idea of putting the repaired servo on my other MGB... eventually!! I replaced the installed servo unit, easyish with a couple of harder bits. Job completed apart from bleeding the brakes again.

Repairing the door latch with some Rivnuts, heater motor wire repair bit easier than expected and surface rust develops into rust holes in the floor pan, joy of joys. Found a useful tool on the internet and my new wiring looms have arrived.

So as some will be aware I started off on this journey of an engine overhaul and supercharger install which has now turned out to be a nigh on major rebuild project.
