Now I know why the signs are upside down, good on the farmers.....no farmers .....no food .
Agree! Unless you live in Britain where we are paying farmers not to grow crops and are having to import it, madness.
Does the Z4 have adaptive cruise control as standard or is it part of a "pack" ?
I think it depends what model you get. On the 20i you need the comfort pack but I think it’s standard on the 30i and M40. Worth checking though as it probably changes all the time.
I Thank You for your video ❤
I’m pleased it was useful. Thanks for the appreciation
We need to see more of Steve😂
This was a really good road trip, we loved Steve😂 brilliant trip!
Just bought an M40i in Glacier Silver. After a few mods on it I can say it is the best car i've ever had in my life. (And i owned an E46 M3 and a 997 Carrera S before)
Nice, I think the M40i will be next. The E46 is one of my all time favorites though, what a car
Don't use the "Dirt blaster" attachment on your lance - it will severely damage your paintwork, use the normal vario attachment
great recording- adios! 📽
People don't hire scooters to zoom around you obviously have no idea most people acutely need them for health reasons think before you speak 👎 your a strange person going by your vlog You don't have a clue about Benidorm so don't act like you do 😂
The house lounge is about $54 when you book online
We stayed at the Pueblo to the right of the Helios....perfect location. If you can see the pool from your balcony...it's a pool view!
Great to see the sights as I've never been to Benidorm before. Love the fact you highlighted the old town with the more traditional pubs etc. Be great to also hear your experience of Spanish culture/ language/ food/ people: What was your favourite Spanish dish/ Spanish group? (So much more to explore if you ever go in the future than the British bubble that Brits tend to stay in. I find it fascinating that us Brits are quick to criticise foreigners coming to the UK who don't integrate and learn the language and then we go to Spain and do exactly the same!🤣). Look forward to checking out other vids (Quick edit: A lot of the cheapest places to eat in Spain have some great food, so it's not always the case that cheap food=bad food. Also - those folks singing looking pretty miserable - I'm guessing that working in the heat of the day in Spain is anyone's worst nightmare! It's only us foreigners who are mad enough to be out and about in the heat of the day. The locals are literally only there entertaining us - cos we are! I've spent time in some great places that are a bit less touristy in Spain where the locals get out early in the morning and then avoid the heat from around 12pm/1pm/2pm onwards - and then come out in the evenings when it's cooler).
Thanks for commenting. The Old Town is the closest you'll get to 'traditional Spanish' in Benidorm but it's still some way off other places such as Seville. It depends what you want from the trip. Thanks for watching, I'm still relatively new to TH-cam and just did it to learn something new, stay connected to the world my kids live in and have a hobby. Not sure where it will go but I learn with each video.
17:10 is how the shops make the money...
I really want one. My only major issue with it - and this might be an unpopular opinion - but I actually like hard-top convertibles, and this only comes in soft top. I think hard top convertibles look equally as good as soft tops. Never understood why so many convertible people say soft tops look better. Do they? I don’t necessarily think they look better. Just different. Particularly living in London, a hardtop just feels more secure. But that boot space in the G29 is really amazing (for a convertible). I don’t (and won’t) have kids, so I don’t need to worry about 4 seats. But the E89’s boot is crazy tiny, and the G29 has a really good sized boot.
Check out my other video for a comparison. My advice is, go and sit in an E89 and sit in a G29 then decide. We just came back from a weeks driving across France and I’d rather be sat in the G29. If it’s a daily I’d go for the G29, if it’s a weekend car then an E89 is fine. The hard top is good, but complicated and it’s known to break, plus it adds a lot of weight (which is why they removed it). That said, I like the idea of a hard top due to the reasons you mention. Pluses and minuses to both.
@@michaeldoesstuffs oh yes. I don’t dislike the G29 by any means. I just sort of wish it came in a hard top convertible option as well. They are both different cars and look quite different. I like the look of both of them, and couldn’t afford a G29 if I wanted one right now. But could afford a well maintained, low mileage second hand 2017-year E89.
@@AndoCommando1000 I live in London with my Z4 (soft top) parked on street. Never had a problem. Did worry initially but not for a long time. Benefit of the soft top is the boot space is uncompromised. Which is a real benefit. Agree a hard top has a different look but the profile of the new soft top is pretty much what a hard top equivalent would look like. I think they’ve done an amazing job on it.
The embassy suites is absolutely stunning inside and regularly gets voted best hotel breakfast buffet and 2 hour free drinks in the evening.....although more expensive than others and where you stayed
Thanks, interesting, I didn’t expect that. I’ll add this one to the shortlist list of ones to look at when I go back next year.
that noise is so annoying!
What’s the mpg like on a daily basis
For me it’s around 38mpg but possible to get 40+, depends how you drive. This is UK, if in US it will be different.
@@michaeldoesstuffs okay thanks 👍
I like the fact that they leave decisions to the parent and not the nanny state dictating.
As already mentioned - much to much ceramic spray……I was watching through my fingers there - on such a nice motor to…..you could get it looking amazing
Hi Michael on the front, you are walking on the road I didn't realise until someone told me good vid
Thanks for watching. I worked that out after a few days of nearly getting taken out by scooters and bikes 😀
stayed there last year, its a nice hotel, however if you want a perfect hotel, the gold arcos, which you can see from your balcony is the ultimate in hotels in benidorm, perfect facilities, amazing rooms, they are huge, and rooftop pool is lovely.
I think that’s the one that lights up different colours? It looks nice and the balconies look massive but I wondered if the lights would get annoying when sat out (maybe you can’t see them).
@@michaeldoesstuffs no you definitely cant see them, or hear any noise, everything about the hotel is just amazing
We stayed here in November and LOVED it. Unbeatable views from our room. The breakfast buffet was incredible, along with that view. And the gym was very spacious and well-equipped, especially for a hotel gym. We're going back to Sydney in three weeks and are staying at the Shangri-la again.
Hi Michael, I am looking at staying at the Helios for a change as normally I stay at the Presidente. Can you tell me if the room you are showing is a Standard or Premium room please? Enjoy your stay!
Hi, I think it was standard as it was not on the upper floors (which is where the premium rooms are), plus it didn't have a coffee machine (as premium have). They gave me an upgrade to a pool view which I'd recommend as the back is not as nice. Presidente looked nice though, interested to know what your thoughts are on that if I decide to go back.
@@michaeldoesstuffs Hi Hotel Presidente is a very clean bright Hotel . I have been there with friends and family on different occasions and they all said they thought the food was very good. We went Full board as there was not much price difference between that and half board. All rooms come with Tea making facilities but do charge to refill, so much Cheaper to buy your own tea and coffee for the week. The Hotel bar last year worked out cheaper to buy a drink than it did outside. As I have stayed there 5 times and had a room once over looking the Helios wondering what it was like there as it always gets good reviews. PS Does the Helios sell Strongbow?☺
Perhaps it comes down to price then. If the Presidente ticks all the boxes then maybe stick with that. I was surprised that the prices were cheaper than some of the outside bars, which is not typical for hotels. Not sure on the Strongbow!
I own a fully loaded G29 m40i that has the power and tech that i require in a car a modern toy. A number of years ago i also owned a E85 2.5si nice enough car, but of its time. I can't understand why people seem to want to compare the designs of a car just because they share the name when there's almost 20 years of difference in technology as well as safety upgrades. Like comparing the original Iphone to a Iphone 15 🤷♂️
I quite like looking at the evolution of cars overtime, but I take your point. I was also considering getting a newer E89 but went for the G29 because of the reasons you mention.
My original E85 stereo is in my trunk too.
What a boring negative review! Fell asleep watching it. This guy should have flown economy and saved a bucketful of money. Won’t bother reading anything further from him
What a boring negative comment. I shan’t be reading any more of your comments.
@@michaeldoesstuffsThank you! Sorry to have upset you but you clearly have very limited knowledge or experience with flying in F or J class!
I’ve got plenty of experience, the reality is it was a business trip that meant time away from my family and I didn’t want to be there, so on reflection that definitely comes across in the video. Thanks for watching
The red exterior and black interior is such a sharp combination. I really like it.😊 It’s so good👍
I'm glad I've came across your blog . fighting from Sydney to Thailand every couple of months .I could never decide to go early enough to go to either one of the lounges. Now you've shown the inside. I will not bother. .much better feed in Bangkok .thanks
No problems, glad the video is able to help someone
I appreciate this walk through. Taking my family to clear beach and pirate boat ride and our hotel is on Int’l drive so this video is helpful. Learned about the helicopter tour in this video so I’m excited to book that.
Do you mean Clearwater beach? That’s not close to Int’l drive but it is beautiful. I’ve visited many times and it’s my favorite place in FL. The pirate boat tour is also cool especially if doing it at sunset
Nice clean windows! Unusual for this height.
loving your z4 content! i hope you'd journal your ownership experiences including maintenance and COO, as well as any mods you wish to do/ are doing. many of us aspiring z4 owners would love to watch your content :D
Thanks for the positive comment. I’ve thought about doing other smaller content for it but it can be difficult to do without repeating things e.g. going for random drives. It is having its first service under my ownership on Thursday so let’s see what that brings. The next ‘big’ z4 content will come after the French trip we have booked in August where we’ll drive the G29 and E89 from the UK, to Geneva, Monaco, Bordeaux etc. There will be several videos on this.
“Ladies car” welcome to 1960 😂 I’ve got the E86 with all the upgrades and I can’t bring myself to get rid of it even though I’ve only done a few hundred miles in the last few years. Wonderful motor.
Yeah, Steve’s a bit old skool!! Love the E86, very special cars!
I like the ying yang seat configuration if you’re flying with a partner or friend. It’s very sociable and easy to face each other and if you are fly alone then there’s always the privacy divide anyway
They are ok, just a bit odd when you have to stare at a stranger when landing, looking a complete mess after sleeping for hours 😂
Very nice video you made there! But take off the stripes mate :) just IMHO. Still congrats on your purchase. Also, if you want to you can find someone to program / code for you that the windows go up after roof folded down. I speed up the operation by coding that the windows don't fully go down when opening the roof in the first place, but only as much as when the roof is closed (1-2 inches perhaps). Then you can also have the ASD (Artificial Sound Design) deactivated by having coded it. I did it because the ASD gave me a headache when driving with the roof up. Oh and wife also said that I bought myself a mid-life crisis car ... :0 and we did a CH, AT, IT roadtrip in the second year we had it. Great experience and you'll have fun I'm sure! Lovely color by the way; why would I say that ... ;-) th-cam.com/video/ESMVgmVF6A4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Zb3lzUP6pNfGNBzp
Thanks, I knew I could get it recoded but never considered being able to speed up the roof going down, that’s cool. Looks like you have the M40, it’s on a nice number plate as well! The stripes are gone as you’ll see in my second video th-cam.com/video/mMqXMF1OR4A/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Y8LGaOALQ5vthGW4
@@michaeldoesstuffs speeding up in the sense that you would safe the time of the window movement
Plus you are using far too much product, ceramic spray is 2 sprays per panel, same as the tyre dressing. That was so hard to watch btw
Thanks, a guy from autoglym commented the same thing, will definitely do this next time.
Never use that nozzle on your pressure washer to wash cars, thats to powerful for the paint. Its meant for patios
WOW!! IT'S DEAD THEIR ?? GREAT JOB ON THE VEDIEO' !! THANKS FOR SHARING.
Yes, the quietest I’ve seen it, this was recorded on the weekend as well, it was even quieter on the weekdays
Great video man! Got an sDrive35is myself for almost 4 years now, kept it stock besides new rims (437Ms) and a DCI from BMS. It's my daily driver and you're right, it does get rather annoying in the morning commute to work since it's so loud(!) and I'm as morning a person as the next guy. But as soon as you cruise on the highway with all the road noise, comfort is a great mode to stay in. The seats are comfortable as well and the leg room is amazing. That being said, it really roars and pops/crackles with the roof down on a empty highway road at home. I love the car (probably a little too much) and if given the chance (with the push of EVs by the government) I'd probably never let it go. And just like in the video, the car absolutely roars in tunnels. The smell of fuel is also something that's very relatable 😂😂😂
Thanks for commenting. I love all of the ‘z’ cars. The 35is is a beast as well, it will only go up in value as EVs become the norm.
@15:20 The issue here by the looks of things is the sheer volume of product that you've sprayed onto the paintwork. There is so much on there you are just chasing the excess around and smearing it over the paintwork. The key to this product is _less is more_ Have a read of the instructions again and you will see that 2-3 sprays per panel is all you need. In the video there is a lot more being sprayed on, and that is why you will be having issues. Shake well. Work on wet or dry painted surfaces in an area no larger than a shoulders width apart. For dry cars: Spray sparingly directly onto paintwork or onto a clean microfibre cloth or applicator and spread. For wet cars: Spray sparingly directly onto paintwork and spread with an Autoglym InstaDry. *Two to three sprays per panel is sufficient, no more than two on smaller panels.*
Thanks for commenting, my first time using this. You can’t see it on the video but it left lots of smeared lines. That’s great information and I will try it again.
@@michaeldoesstuffs No problem, love your enthusiasm. That 5 piece kit is one f my favourite collections. It's not very rock and roll, but it is always worth reading the instructions on an Autoglym product to get the very best out of it. The team spend a lot of time finding out the best way to use it and get the very best results so you do not have a disappointing result.
Top tip for the future, just one spray of the Fast Glass is enough to do one of your side windows, no need to use as much next time :-)
Thanks, I’m clearly just overusing everything! Overall I really like the products. The Super resin polish is great.
Don’t ever polish a car in the sun hard work and the setting you had on the pressure washer will strip the paint off your wheels mate!. Autoglym resin polish can’t beat that
Cheers, didn’t think of the wheels!
4:13 absolute professional 😂
Seem to have a supportive cameraman
you can jet wash the roof, just keep a distance.
I only see one roadster here. The E85 Z4. Lightweight, soft top and rawness in its drive. I agree the E89 is a ladies GT cruiser. The G29 is just too big, overweight and not that great looking.
G29 is a soft-top Supra. E89 is a ridiculously beautiful car. BMW just isn't the brand to go with if you want the uncomfortable roadster driving experience. The older ones - Z3 and E85 - there are just better options in the price range, and newer ones as well. And BMW really are money pits.
Do u reccomend z4 20i as a first car?
No, future insurance will be a nightmare if you crash it
luxury hotel dan resort... ❤❤❤
I recently bought a 30i which doesn't have the comfort pack, so no wind deflector. It's virtually impossible to have a conversation or hear the audio when you're traveling at speed with the roof down, so I bought the wind deflector kit, including the replacement roll bar covers with slots in to hold the deflector in place. (The standard covers don't have them, so you can't just buy the deflector on its own.) £600 quid for the deflector kit... and another £210 (£175+vat) if you want/need BMW to fit it! (Luckily, I could do it myself.) Crazy money... but I think it's essential. Enjoyed the video. (Liked and subbed.) Have a great road trip!
That is actually a lot more expensive that I expected it to be, seems better to negotiate when purchasing (if buying new). Road trip will be in August!
@@michaeldoesstuffs absolutely! It's a ridiculous amount... but that's BMW for you. I don't know how the original owner drove the car with the roof down and no deflector... it's horrendous without it! So, I had to bite the bullet and get one. You should be guaranteed some decent weather in August 🤞😎
hey i was wondering if the z4s roof gets any creases or wear and tear
@@Sky_Lamba seems all good. The car I've bought is four years old, with 17k miles on and the roof looks as good as new. I've had it treated, which should keep it in good condition...and I've bought a half cover, for when we have heavy rain forecast. The roof is extremely good quality, so I expect it to last for a long time.
@@goldtop362 would u recommend a z4 20i? as a first car?
That E89 exhaust is not the factory one as firstly it has quad tailpipes (standard one has one each side) and secondly BMW didn't make it any where as near as loud as that! Mirror covers are also not standard.
Thanks for confirming!
Yes it’s not standard. But the 30i had twin exhausts on the left, the 35i and 35is had one tailpipe either side. If you have a good aftermarket exhaust it should sound great but never tiresome on the motorway.
@@joebloggs4191I'm considering buying an exhaust for my 23i e89, it's my daily so I'm just a little worried it's gonna be too much. It just lacks really just tiny bit more, stock
z-roadsters have a handle inside the trunk lid, so please guys, don't touch it on the outside closing it, please... ;-) I see this fault again and again
