Fishing with Temps
Australia
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 12 ก.พ. 2022
Fishing with Temp (formerly Temps Tackle Talk) is a channel where you can learn more about sports fishing. We not only delve into the minds of some of the best anglers in the country as we fish for a variety of different species, but also film other fishing trips aimed at giving advice, tips and tricks. You can see the different video's according the playlists.
The first series of "A Day on the Water" targets Australian Bass Tournament (ABT) anglers, some accomplished, some just learning the trade and we find out more about their journey into tournament fishing.
I'll also make the most of any opportunities that arise to film a trip where something exciting happens or perhaps there is an opportunity to share some advice or tips
Watch this space because there's an exciting new venture coming this year as the channel expands to incorporate new and interesting content.
I am only learning about all this You Tube stuff, but I hope you enjoy the channel and what I am producing.

Fishing the 2024 Flathead Classic - The Berkley Babes
In this video my wife Sue teams up with her friend Jo to fish the 2024 Flathead Classic. This year was the 30th anniversary and had a record 317 teams entered. I was able to follow the girls on the first day of competition and along with the events official photographer the legendary Gerry Nicholls we capture some of the action from the day. The girls fished under the banner of Berkley fishing and had a ball casting a range of Berkley products. #berkleyfishing #purefishing #goldcoastsportsfishingclub #goldcoastflatheadclassic

This is why we fish! - Teemburra Dam Barra
มุมมอง 38หลายเดือนก่อน
In this video Sue and I fished the Teemburra round of the ABT Barra Tour. Having only caught our first ever impoundment Barra the day before and knowing Teemburra's reputation as a hard fishery you can imagine our elation when this happened. Casting the Zerek Live Mullet in "Fat Betty" colour to the edges of the lily pads and a slow retrieve enticed the bite. I didn't have the camera running fo...
Fishing Maroon Dam with soft plastics = PB Maroon Bass
มุมมอง 662 หลายเดือนก่อน
In this video my wife Sue and I head to Maroon Dam for a fish. The fishing was tough for us but once we changed lure profiles to a shrimp pattern we caught some solid bass. My only Bass for the session was also my PB from there in at 45cm (42cm fork). I caught it on the Berkley 3" Turbo shrimp in pepper colour #berkleyfishing #purefishing #bassfishing

Maroon Dam Trophy Bass and a drone crash
มุมมอง 1036 หลายเดือนก่อน
In this video I am fishing with my wife Sue at Maroon Dam for a session as part of the 2024 Women's Fishing Classic. I've been fishing Maroon for 30 years and never seen a Bass this big being caught there. It was an epic.....and oh yeah the drone crash.....oops, don't take your eyes off the control! Miraculously the drone still works perfectly!

BIG FISH. Light Line. Big Flatty vs 4lb Fluro on a crankbait
มุมมอง 377 หลายเดือนก่อน
If there's one thing I love, it's fishing light and in this video I was targetting bream on crankbaits on the shallow flats in southern Moreton Bay. What I wasn't expecting was to hook a BIG Flathead and the battle that ensued on 4lb Fluorocarbon was a stack of fun. #daiwa #moretonbay

Temps Tassie Tour Pt 3 - Black Bream on hardbody lures - epic session
มุมมอง 5968 หลายเดือนก่อน
In Part 3 of my tour of Tassie I head to Dover about an hour south of Hobart for a shore based session using Liquid Gold suspending minnows to target some of the X Large black bream that frequent the area. The best part....the beach was deserted, not a single sole around. Cast to the weed edge....twitch twitch slow roll....hold on. I drop by The Fisherman's Shed in Kingston on the way and catch...
Temps Tassie Tour Pt 2 - The hunt for trout in the central highlands
มุมมอง 1638 หลายเดือนก่อน
In this video James and I head to the Central Highlands of Tasmania's to fish Arthur's Lake and Penstock Lagoon. The fishing proved pretty tough but James talks through the gear we were using (both spin and fly fishing) so hopefully the information helps you in how to approach fishing on these lakes. #Flyfishingtasmania #flytyersoftasmania #centralhighlandstasmania #sportsfishtasmania
Temps Tassie Tour Pt 1 chasing Derwent River Black Bream using hardbody lures.
มุมมอง 2309 หลายเดือนก่อน
This video is part 1 of my recent trip to Tassie. I catch up with a good mate of mine James Mackay and we hit the Derwent River in search of the monster Black Bream its famous for. I had a shocker to start the day forgetting the Go Pro and the drone so the initial footage was filmed on my phone so the audio isn't as good as I would've liked. We did get the drone up a bit later for a flight over...

Using Chatterbaits on Maroon Dam to catch Bass
Can’t help but notice BUSHMANS the absolute best insect repellent made. And essential item in the NT.
The very best for down here also.
Well done, great fish for there. 👍
I've been fishing Maroon since the mid 90'sand never seen Bass that big taken from there. It was a rare capture indeed,
we catch black bream here in the uk on metals jigs. small 10g lures tight to the bottom. good fun. Great stuff this bud enjoyed it. - new sub from the uk
That’s very cool. I didn’t know the UK had bream. What kind of size do they grow to there.
@@tempstackletalk some big ones, blacks to around 4/5lb, gilthead to 10lb and then white bream to 3lb. So a wide variety
@@BeneathTheWavesFishingJersey I’ll do some research but that sounds cool. I’ll check out your content but if you feel like covering your bream I’d be keen to check it out
You ever scent the plastics up? Food for thought 😊
I use Pro cure in blue crab or bloodworm on my plastics. There was scent on that plastic in the pic
Amazing footage, Craig !!
Thanks Jacob. The drone certainly adds an extra dimension to the video's. Glad you enjoyed it.
Great vid mate
Thanks Jesper. That was a stack of fun.
Great clip mate. Looks like Dover is where it’s at! Plenty of content from down there on the socials over the last week or so!! 🐟
@@beachballer4388 Cheers man. Yeah Morgo spent some time there after the Bream Tour. I was there about 2 weeks prior. Morgo definitely got a couple of giants on the crabs. As a land based spot you'd travel along way to find better. One of the risks of social media though is the exposure and the potential for the "gronks" to head there and rape and pillage the place. I just hope it's too far for them to travel. There are still a couple of places in Tassie I would never film because they are REALLY special and will always be in my "Cone of silence". But certainly hope others get the chance to learn from the video and can go there and enjoy the beauty, solitude and the exceptional fishing, I just encourage catch and release to help maintain the unbelievable fishery that is Tasmania. Tight lines!
All I'd ask is drop by the Fishermans Shed and see Tom pick up a couple of Liquid Gold Purple Pacey's and do it for "Matty"
Absolutely spot on! Couldn’t have said it better myself. Glad you enjoyed Tassie 👍
💕Wow 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍💜
I have been trying to catch a bream in the river all summer and can’t get a single one! All I ever get is bloody flathead and salmon 😂 I have no idea what I’m doing wrong but it’s getting frustrating 😂😂
If you are shore based near the Bowen Bridge use shallow jerkbaits such as the Liquid Gold or alike. The bream love a real jerky action and even consider putting some scent on the hardbody. If you have a pai of waders then lightly weighted jig heads (1/16th to 1/8th) and cast out and let them dropdown with lifts and pauses. keep an eye on the line for the twitch to indicate a bite. Keep an eye out for Part 3 where I go through the techniques I was using while I was in Tassie. drop into the Fisherman's Shed in Kingston and see Tom he can give you some handy tips as well. Tell him I sent you!
@@tempstackletalk thanks for the advice! I have tried some shore based but I do have a boat, so I can move around the river a bit :)
@@officialWWM then this time of year just cast shallow suspending cranks in the shallows around the Bowen Bridge on the high tides. You have to be casting within a couple of feet of the bank and just twitch and slow roll the lure out. Good luck
@@tempstackletalk awesome! Thanks for the advice, I’m not going to give up, lol!
Do you know much abiut brissy river for threadys? I k ow there comin on soon
I've never caught a Thready but its on my bucket list for sure and hopefully I can work out how to catch them in the Bay. Check out Pete Herbst Fishing he has some content on targetting them
@@tempstackletalk my dad caught one not last Saturday they are starting to move upriver to bree
Thanks for the video. Its going to be my first full year on the tour, great content.
I'm really glad you enjoyed the video. Jesper is a very knowledgeable angler and always willing to share his tips and tricks. Good luck with your first tournament year. Enjoy the experience.

a great event , thanks for the video
Glad you enjoyed it. Will ramp it up a bit for next years Classic with more of a focus on the fishing.
Great content 👍
Cheers, Jesper is a gun and really knows his stuff. If we can lock him down long enough in the country I'll do some more filming with him in the future.
Love the new intro mate, pumped to get out there now. Also looking forward to the follow up vids. 🤙🤙
As an x Toowoomba boy . Toowoomba produces champions great to see another follow his dream and achieve great interview temp
Got a fair mix well done
Which you had these videos when with Austackle !!! Awesome day
I must admit I struggle with the right jighead I’ve got in a habit of 1/24 for nearly everything and 1/32 in summer may be that’s where I’m going wrong ? Heaps of bream and good size at the moment
Definitely agree. I find the smallest adjustment at times can be the difference between catching fish and not. As a guide what I'm looking for is the line to be directly below the boat as it drifts by. If its already hit the bottom then I reduce weight. If its on an angle then I'll increase weight.
Hi every time I go fishing I can’t seem to catch anything in Brisbane can you give this spot or any other good spots you know?
It really depends on what you want to catch and what style of fishing you want to do? Bait of artificial lures. Shoot me a message on my FB page and I can try to assist
Lures are best for around Ipswich area mate I catch a lot of bass caught a big lungfish once bait is okay just a lot catfish which is what I don’t want to catch
Cracking conditions and some great tips. Hopefully improve my game some. 🙌🙌
Glad you enjoyed it. Just reach out if you have any questions and I'll elaborate a bit more
Great video once again Craig. Keep ‘em coming!!👍🎣
Thanks Peady😁
Nice work guys ... great clip 👌 will hav to give those bad boys a crack! Cheers
Would have been nice to catch that many when I was there last month. Very informative video
Glad you enjoyed
Awesome.
Thanks Craig and Adam for a bloody awesome clip. I very much appreciate an insight into the 1% ‘rs that will hopefully improve my cast to catch ratio on flathead.
Our pleasure! Glad you enjoyed it. Let me know if you have any feedback on the content we cover or format. What keeps you engaged.
Awesome video guys 👍👍
Thank you 🤗
Looking forward to it mate 🤙
I saw the fishies on the screen! 🐠😄
Quiet interesting video. I think the live is something impressive, maybe more so for competitive guys for that extra edge. Looking forward to seeing where this technology leads to with progression. Thumbs up 👍
