Great sounds! Thank you ❤
I’ve been doing the same thing with metal drums - recording the drum parts - kick and snare loops, hi hat loops, crash loops. Having different packs for different tempos (so warping has minimal affect on the loops).
@@GoogleAccount-kw1mz oh interesting! That sounds cool
Hell yeah Riley!
@@mmckiver 😺
Awesome sample pack! Thanks 🙏🏻
@@L71studios amazing! Glad you’re enjoying it
thanks guys!! missed your vids!
Yeah it's been a while!
great video thanks for sharing
Excellent work here!
thanks! this was one of our first videos and it took a lot of time.
thank you so much holy cow
Thank you for watching!
Great video. Currently trying to use this same DI to Reamp with a Neve 88m interface.
Where can i buy it????
you can buy them directly from electrical's website
@@nofunclub2604 i didnt know that!!!! Perfect !!!!!! Thanksssss!!!!!!!
I'll be seeing you guys on the 16th. I'm really looking forward to it. 😁
awesome see you then!
@@nofunclub2604 lol, yup the 12th. 😁
wow wow wow i am in love with these msuic
What did you use to get the oscilloscope reading?
That particular scope was the one built into Reaper, I just screen captured it and added it into the video.
Awesome video on the DMX. The comb filter example really sounds like The effect Eddy Grant used on Electric Avenue to get a motorcycle rev sound. Maybe?
Hi, where i can lising music that has recorded in this beautiful console?
Good recent examples would be the latest Deerhoof, Matt Foster and Tunic releases. Check out Burnstick’s new album too (Drums And bass) tracked on it. Really no compromises aside from less ch’s compared to our Neve. I’d even be so bold to say I prefer it’s pres/eqs for most modern music as well.. incredible console
Thank you!
@@roberthill688Yo, my band wants to record on this. What is your studio called
@@ZeroGNo Fun Club in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada
Winnipeg ? Midddle ? Cold ? If so hello you know the name of take by the tag. We will connect if so..
Hey bro I want to record here I live in Winnipeg a young drill rapper
And the music is pretty dope on a good sounding console!
ai-generated circuitry?
What did you pay for them?
I didn't understand anything lmao :/
What is the advantage of having a half-normaled patchbay? Why would you want to keep the unprocessed signal and where does it go when it's split? Does it blend the compressed 1176 sound with the unprocessed signal because it goes into the half-normaled line input? Thanks for the great video!
I was looking for a video exactly like this. I’m not using tape but I am trying to emulate the workflow using a computer and outboard mixing gear, and this answered all the questions I had
Awesome! Really glad to hear that.
What a garbage video. Not to mention that mullet chick is screaming...I'm a dirty liberal 😂
Listen to those transients, even with TH-cam compresion, imagine in the room with a good pair of full range monitors!
R. Neve as good as he is, could never get rid of the "click" when you insert somethig in of out off the bus, IE, hear the click when he presses "EQ". As a broadcast console, It has very good eq. and preamp. The best output transformers. and design. Neve and API are there at the top and there allways be.
Can you save presets on this unit?
wow the whole floating room jeiese louiese
If you have to make a video where everyone is wearing masks...don't make the video.
😂
Albini worship aside...you guys have Burl conversion, so you know that with today's UAD pluggies it is actually not necessary and is still kinda a pain in the ass...unless you go narrow format. Long live the Revox B77!!!
This is me explaining how I record most my stuff to cassette 4 track. No one gets it
That regen with the pitch shift feature sounds a lot like the part David Bowie says lift off in Space Oddity
Beautiful Studio. Gotta be one of my fav studio tours…. The vibe in there is perfect.
thanks for stopping by!
pretty cool, how much are they?
Thats what i would also like to know, haven't found anything online
9,400 USD for a pair
@@TheGudlove Only a handful of studios had them while they were perfecting the last stages of the speaker, prices just announced as of Namm 2024 on their website
@@nofunclub2604 I saw this and I think I'm going maybe try sum PMC's or Ex Machinas or even the new Kii 7. This maybe out of my budget especially for a new company
Question: When copying/bouncing from tape to tape and again to tape, does not the sound quality deteriorate to some degree with every copying process? 🤔
Bouncing from one tape to another ads noise every generation yes, but we don't really ever do that here aside from going to a 2 track master tape. Going from tape to digital doesn't add extra noise though.
@@nofunclub2604 Alright, thank you! 😎👍
😮 I’d love to come visit
hope you can!
@@nofunclub2604 cool will do
Hope you guys are still kicking .
We are still here!
Real tape is hella litty. Also, yinz are FUN-ny. If I end up recording with ya, I am buying the tape and burying it like The Gospel of Thomas. Maybe someone will find the music in 2,000 years or whatev. 😆 Do you sell jars of clay or only limp biscuits?
We have clay and biscuits on sale, also puddles of mud
Hi! How much is the full day remote mix? Thank you
$400 Canadian. Thanks for checking out the video really lucky to have this console and compressors. Drop us a line at info@nofunclub.com
Ive been looking all over the internet for resources to study vintage neve operation. Cant tell you how grateful i am to find this!
Awesome! Glad it’s helpful :)
Googling an echo chamber in 2023 is a nightmare ....
Hey. Flying faders?
no flying faders no, if you're doing an all analog mixing session you've gotta get friends to help for all the moves hehe
This looks like it would be an awesome place to work!
This is my new favorite video 😂
great channel, just continue to make your work
We will, thank you!
Amazing studio!
Thanks Sebastien! Always a pleasure working with you.
The tension created from not plugging the XLR in gave me anxiety and made me feel like I can only resolve those issues by taking a plane to Winnipeg and recording my next album at No Fun Club and replacing it with crippling PTSD from seeing those little red boxes IRL
I'm sorry it took me so long 😢 they are much more relaxing in real life
@@nofunclub2604 As a well designed piece of gear should be!
They look amazing 🤩
they are so good, highly recommended
Thanks so much for this vid. When you crushed the mono drum mic and went to fast release it was a whole new track! I read some other reviews saying the new one is transparent compared to the OG but this demo proves you can really get a nice crunch/smash out of it. I'd love to see how the pre/post waveforms look with just the high speed limiting. Does that function make a big difference in perceived volume? I'm looking into the 500 series version the STX 600...
glad you enjoyed it. It makes a pretty big difference yeah it looks like hard limiting or soft clipping kinda which is I guess more or less what is happening, it's a particular flavour of mixing compression and clipping. The STX 600 does the limiting clipping part but it's missing the full compressor section and so sounds kinda different
