Good point that neither of these quads should be someone's first. It bothers me when somebody asks "What should be my first quad?" and somebody replies "Get a 450!" or "Get a 700!" Baby steps my friends.
Agreed 100%. There is nothing wrong with building skills and confidence. Thanks for commenting. Well said.
In 2007 I got into race quads. I had wanted a raptor since I was a little kid so when I went shopping for one. The significantly lower centre of gravity and wider stance of the yfz instantly had me sold. Few years later I was able to ride a 700r a buddy of mine had and I was super glad I went with the yfz. I have the 2019 se in red but I’m swapping it out for the lime green 25 SE. so dope
Nice.
Reverse sold me
Amen.
Thanks for the video! You know we love comparisons!
Thanks for watching!
Great video bro just the info I needed 👍🏻
Great! Thanks.
hello, can you help me find out the settings for my can-am 800 from 2008
There is a guide on the hmf website. You have to tell them the model of your bike and they will give you a chart of all the different modes and what number they should be on.
Very informative video. Thanks.
Thanks!
How can you do that

I think it has a little bit of dirt on it😂
I have a 2000 200mxc, crazy thing is it was my bike as a teenager. I didn’t see it for 18 years, then some how ended getting to buy it back the other day and it still fires on the first kick!
That is awesome! Full circle.
Philippians 4:19 And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Jesus Christ
My 1988 trail Boss is a two-stroke so the same thing is your trailblazer
Buying used raptors or any atv in great shape is the hard part. People rip these bike from day one.
Very fair point. I have purchased my share of train wrecks.
Dealers are wanting way more (12,000) money than MSRP at 10,300.00 so I won't buy one. The dealers are making money at MSRP so they can stick it . One dealer in Michigan would change over my two tires unless I bought tires from them. I got the tires with the used bike. Another dealer wanted 120.00 to change two tires , I got them changed for 20.00 at a tire shop
Yeah its too much. Good point.
450 all day 🥱
How about the 570?
Never got a chance to ride one of those.
My 2005 hit 80mph on the road!
Im 13 160 pounds and 5,10-5,11 is this a good bike?
Definitely. And you can keep it as long as you want and wont get bored. Its a great all around trail bike.
I will sell mine at $2800
Probably number 1 reason is that dirtbikes exist.
Haha
Where is the track located? It looks like a really cool track to go riding at.
Good eye. That’s at Brushy Mountain motorsports Park in Taylorsville, North Carolina. That’s my favorite park to ride. The track is n’t quite as goodof shape now as it was in that video but overall that place is a blast if you ever can make it out.
If you're a midget you buy the yfz450r if you're a real man who is over 6 ft tall you buy the Raptor
This was a great video, it's great to see you bring that poor quad back to life. I hope you have a lot of fun with it.
Haha. Thanks! I really felt like it deserved better. Thanks for watching and commenting.
I live in the Middle East. Kuwait to be exact, and we have many sand dune/ desert biome areas. so I am looking for something that’s both soft and stable for those sudden washboard situations.
The Raptor suspension is much more forgiving. The 450 is very firm and is more for jumping and really aggressive riding.
@ which is more fun in your opinion?
Both are great! Just Raptor is ALOT less maintenance. I’ve owned both!@@splkzyy
Is that catman?
Good little video man … Looks like you are at black mountain in Kentucky on a few clips of your video been there many times with my wolverine..
Thanks! Most of that was filmed in Northwest NC believe it or not. A few shots from southern West Virginia.
These things cost less now with our insane inflation than they did back in the early 200's when the ATV hobby was killed off by high prices and side by sides taking over by rich dude bros who are too fat and lazy to ride a quad.
I definitely agree that side by side riders arent taking the best care of the trails. I just looked and a 2001 Raptor 660r had an MSRP of $5,000 which is $8,912 adjusted for inflation according to Google. Since the MSRP of a 2024 Raptor is $10,899 ao we are still looking at over $2k before the mark ups.
Having a Raptor Gen 2 and Gen 3 37, I can say that their Baja mode acceleration is so furious that Taycans, Panameras and G63s will be left staring in horror, wondering what just happened)) its even better effect when its wet and slippery
I see 70 miles not 75
True. Its a cut from my full video, and that part I have credit to the original youtube person (long story I know). If you watch my full video you see the guy hit 75 mph.
@FunGoingFast and is that original or has something already been done like fuel intake and power commander or just factory ready
Never owned a raptor but I have a million hours logged on a blaster, banshee, and a Yfz. With race experience on the banshee and Yfz…. The Yfz chassis is incredible. Many times I was prepared to eat the dirt and the Yfz straightened out and kept me on the tires. In those same situations the banshee would have dumped me…. Can’t speak for the raptor but with how much I liked the Yfz it would be hard for me to choose anything over the 450
Good feedback. Thanks for commenting.
i have a raptor 350 now for 3 years now paid 1200€ for it road legal with licence plate and registation (i live in france) anyway i got a warrior 350 for 500€ last year the seller didnt have a picture and i saw a full exhaust system by CRD i was that is worth money. its was claped but since i had a raptor 350 i know what to fix. i fixed the one way start clutch (but i did a very deap clean befor it was dirty AF like black dirty on the blue plastics) so yeah got one way starter clutch of aliexpress, it started but carb leaking (i was knock off carb) so i didnt bother fixing it. got a amazon carb + bilet mount for 60€ that fixed it. painted the rims black cause they were beat up put some used tyres on it. shitty battery and sold it for 1150€ cause it was to clapped to fix... plastics melted... all A arms had play, chain was crusty. was not worth it. butt i did like the warrior look recently seen it for sale for 1700€ lol still as claped. i do like the raptor 350 but its a tractor. but i like that i have had fast quad but i like the slower one cause u can be balls to the wall without actually going to fast and not get tired.. i got a banshe and yeah nah thatt thing hurts my arms real quick but its fun but different fun but i would still recommande anyone to buy a ltz400 and not a rapttor 350 they are the same price, the raptor aint worth 3000-4000€ road legal. the ltz400 also not but its way better for that price
Thanks for the comment.
Damnit that was a good video, didn't know about the t shape
Hahha. Thanks!
I bought a 2024 yfz450r absolutely love it other than the clutch witch is known to blow on them causing pretty detrimental damage to your machine other then that upgrade your clutch basket and your good to go there’s some others things you gotta do but mostly it’s preference, one hell of a machine tho
Enjoy. They are fun.
How you like this compared to yfz 450r?
Check out my channel and I did a few different comparisons w the yfz. The yfz is much more fun to rev out and kick around. But for the trails I ride I decided it was a bit more work to ride since its higher strung, firmer suspension l, erc. The Raptor is much less work to ride, and is more comfortable over long distances. So I actually ended up selling the YFZ. Its a great atv, just not as good a fit for my riding style.
The last year of the warrior is 04. Then yumaha updated it to the Raptor 350..its sporty looking they updated the the power to i believe 27 hp from the warriors 19 hp. I have a mint 1990 warrior and 05 Raptor 350 my son is 12 and its perfect for him. Plus lots of room to grow so he can ride it for a long time.
My friend has the yzf450 and i have the Raptor 700. We ride the dunes. If you're a big guy the Raptor is more comfortable. Both bikes are great..like i said we basically just ride the dunes. I prefer the power and comfort of the Raptor
I love my 06 Raptor 700. I ride the dunes in Oregon most of the time. My son is 12 and loves his Raptor 350. Same engine as the warrior.
The first year of the Raptor 700 with fuel injection in 2006. I have one. The last year of the 660 with carbs is 2005.
Yep. Was trying to go off memory and missed it by a year.
2006 they did the oil mod and 2004 2005 have different motors they are not even 450s
They did the major engine overhaul in 2006, but the oil modded wasn't added until 2007. Along with tweaking the clutch, updating the brakes, and changing the handlebars. I think I said the 80 changes occurred in 2007, which wasn't correct. Thanks for catching.
I got to ride with this guy once and can vouch that not only is he very knowledgeable on a variety of subjects not limited to but including ATV’s but, that he also, much like the class of 92, plays hard.
This guy doesn’t know what he’s talking about
Astute observation sir. You got me. Well articulated argument.
Where did u order ur front bumper for the 450 yfz?
That bumper comes factory on the SE editions. Pretty sure its a Yamaha GYTR bumper.
They look fantastic, they are fast as hell, and sound mean. That being said, I decided to go with a ‘23 Kingquad 750. I will admit the only reason why I considered getting a Scrambler was to be able to beat my pals in a drag but then I came to my senses and realized that’s a stupid reason to get an atv. I LOVE my Kingquad so far. The fit and finish is incredible and I have had zero problems with it so far and I’ve owned it for 5 months and ride it very hard.
Sounds like a nice ride. Enjoy.
I can remember this amount of happiness. Now I search for it. I guess it isn't available for me anymore.
Great video thanks for sharing!
Thanks!
He’s ready to rip now 😂
I still have my 2007 LTZ 400. Still looks great!
Nice!
Check with a local sign shop, Most Commercial adhesive removers are a citrus oil bases. They should take it right off without damaging the paint.
Thanks for the tip.
@@FunGoingFast Love the videos. I would be nice to see more on the riding tips. My experience in on a Honda 200X and thinking about getting a quad.
5 reasons why you may not want one: all of what he said is crap lol get a warrior this guy knows nothing
Hahaha. Thanks for the dialed in response. By the way, you only gave one reason.
@@FunGoingFast ha ha ha is right bucko look at most of your comments people love the warrior nice try bucko
How do you add the tow ball?
The little triangle you mounted the tow ball on was a factory extra. Not sure if you can still find them. I would check eBay.
