Very beaytifull car.I’ m in France and this is very rare version .This model have also a blue color clear also in LeMans type very spectacularly. Congratulations not have a risk to crossing paths with another like in USA .

Lots of ducting on that lid. Is it fresh air or xtactors vents..... I see the side vents, which I'm sure has something to do feeding all those ducts on the lid.

Wow....what an adventure. Just found your channel from your old forum write up on the heads. How'd that carb. conversion tuning work out? Did you know about BVO-Sport in France? Did you stop there? He's the expert on these. You probably know of the "Alpine A310-Redbaby" channel & his extensive work on that engine! Only story I know about Toulouse, is my sister went to her friends extravagant wedding their in a castle, & her husband got bad food poisoning from some French bakery & was sick for days before the wedding! They didn't have a pleasant trip.....

I'd seen a few GTA's on my travels around the UK, and in the late 80s at the height of the yuppie boom the Le Man's version was launched. I'd seen it magazines then one day whilst in traffic on the 406 by Ealing Common I saw a purple one next to me in traffic. It looked amazing. Almost as if from another planet. Years later I decided to hunt for an A610 - and viewed one near Oxford but couldn't agree on the price. A few years later saw another on the south coast - but turned out to be the same car as I'd seen in Oxford with different plates. A deal was in the making but I bought a GTR ( skyline ) instead. Another few years passed and having got the JDM itch sctrached I found another A610 for Sale in Greenwich. Went to view and it was the same car again - with different plates. This particular car ( and that was the identifier) was yellow and had been tested by performance car magazine. The write-up was in the folder with receipts etc. . By now it was showing signs of wear and tear. The drivers door ( fibreglass ) had dropped and there were other signs of neglect. I left it . In summary I loves the way these car looked and sat. I loved the door handles in the floor and the quirky wiper action, pop up headlights ( A610 ). Alas it wasn't meant to be...much like meeting an interesting and attractive person at an Airport and having a wonderful few hours until you both catch your flights and go your separate ways.... leaving you to wonder about the path not taken.

One of my colleagues had one of these new. An Irish guy who worked for SLB. I hope he's still kicking around. Can't imagine our kids having the same enthusiasm about their cars like we had, it's all gonna be about tech and charging and allocated driving hours and driving into a non-designated Geozone. How boring.
