Just here to get out and ride.
Dirt Bike Enduro Training
Out at mile markers yet again hitting single track, step ups, hills, and more. Lucky to have buds who can help me improve, hit things I usually don't hit when I'm out alone. As always thanks for watching!

The HOLY GRAIL of Fun Fast Flowy Arizona Single Track
มุมมอง 21114 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
Found this loop after joining ATR (Arizona Trail Riders) and decided to try to re-trace it solo. Got about 20 miles of really fun easy flowy single track. I'm not Max Gerston so if you like speed.. this is not that lol. I am working on getting faster and like to push myself and ride with faster riders. Always try to improve and push yourself, try something challenging. Thanks for watching!

Out at mile markers again exploring some single track! I ended up finding the start and early single track to last year's outlaw enduro. Just out here practicing, trying to get better. Thanks for watching, please like and subscribe.
Happy Thanksgiving! Mile Markers Rideout
มุมมอง 105วันที่ผ่านมา
2024 Thanksgiving day ride! Out with my buddy James (ktm 250xc) and Jeff (crf 450x). Out ripping mile markers on the north side of hwy 74. Hitting some single track, rocky hill climbs, double track and testing out the crf450x to see how it compares to my DRZ400S. Lot's of fun today, hope you all had a good thanksgiving! Thanks for watching, please like and subscribe.

2024 Drz400s ride review.. is it fun? Is it too heavy, low on power, old, outdated, etc? Hopefully this video helps show how capable this bike really is. Went out in my backyard and originally just wanted to scout out some more single track trails, ended up exploring nearly 25 miles of this beautiful desert. Out with my buddy and his Husqvarna Te300. We tried to find some difficult terrain for ...
Boulders Southside Hard Mountain Single Track FUN! Part 2
มุมมอง 130หลายเดือนก่อน
Part 2: Mostly the descent from the top off the hard mountain single track. By far the gnarliest trail I've ridden. I definitely felt more comfortable, and I think my skill level is improving. There were moments on this trail where I was quite nervous (I do not like heights), however I keep finding myself in places I would never go if it weren't for those to push me to become a better rider. Al...

Out for a relatively quick ride in my back yard. Plans fell through to ride at Wildcat becuase it's not open yet.. out practicing some fundamental riding on my 2022 Gasgas ex250. Conquering some hill climbs, riding rocks and havin fun! Thanks for watching

White Hills OHV in Camp Verde, AZ. We did the White Hills loop, there is another loop called Middle Verde. The White Hills loop is longer about 19 miles, the other one is 9 miles totaling 28 miles. I was looking on TH-cam to find out more information about these trails and I didn't find much. Awesome single track, I'd say upper level C rider skill level needed to have fun with it. Some pretty t...

Looks like fun. Instead of gassing it to bring the front end up, slip the clutch a bit so you can loft the front end any time you want, just take it easy to learn that sweet spot.
Epicness
Are there any groups I can join to link up with and ride?
Yes! check out facebook and look up Arizona Trail Riders. There are several facebook groups depending on the area you are closest to.
I know that boat! Ha Ever up there in the morning vs evening?
@@cannonsmith7429 I will be there this Saturday to ride the same loop with one other. We will be there at 9am, you’re welcome to join!
@ bummer, I’ll be out there Wednesday morning! Starting on the mm4 side though
@ what time do you stage at mm4? Are you racing outlaw enduro this year?
@@desertdrz7618 I think we'll be out there at 9am on Wed but can let you know for sure on Tuesday if interested. TBD on the outlaw enduro, but considering it. same with San Manuel, they both look fun but obviously one has way more rocks ha
@ very interested.. message me on IG Luke Lehr or FB. You should definitely do San Manuel, it’s the easiest in the series but if you ride mm 4 a lot you will be fine with outlaw it’s just a long ride
Really nice bike!
I've only been to mile markers once. Didn't see all this flat land. That would have been way better for my 12 year old. Where we went was all hills and to difficult for him. I'm gonna have to explore more.
@@BradandDad_Adventures sounds like you went to mm 14. This is mm 4. I’d recommend checking out mm 8.5.. I also recommend joining Arizona Trail Riders. They showed me mm 8.5 and the loop I did yesterday was 20 miles of easy fast flowing single track. Should have a video up later this week!
Epic ride
@@fieldsandfriends4725 part 2 coming soon
Great place to ride!!!
Hey I’d love to link up and ride with you n your groups… Do you have a FB or instagram page??
Wow, this is right behind my house!
feel free to join us!
@ that would be awesome.
must be great to have a desert to just wander round - thanks man
New subscriber here. It's always good to find another DRZ channel. I've had a 2002 DRZ S since 2006. It has a tad over 21000 miles on it now. I'm planning on buying a new DR-Z4S as soon as they show up at my local dealer.
@@DualSportDoug Thanks for the support! I look forward to your review of the new DRZ!
I don't have any plans to sell my current DRZ after buying the new one.
Slow rider
do you even ride?
arent you slow and heavy????😏
@suzukiGlobal_official Get this guy the new DRZ400 to review!
Dizzer looks good in black!!
It’s a good day when DesertDRZ posts a new video!
2016 Drz-400 for $4k or a 2017 EXC-F 500 for $5k? What should I do!
I need more information.. the ktm is pretty old and if it has a lot of miles/hours on it you might have to do a rebuild soon $$$ the performance of a stock exc blows the drz out of the water, however just as I discussed in the video the drz is plenty capable to have fun on plus the reliability factor is huge.
wait for 2025, drz iz getting updated, and competition have some other stuff too
Thoughts on the new drz?
Watch the video and hear my thoughts!
Always good stuff out there, either side of the road.
You ride like you're on a four-stroke, with such low RPMs. I feel sorry for your bike's clutch. I don't stop on hills I gas on it. You made and that's what counts.
What makes you qualified to speak on this old man?
@fieldsandfriends4725 I guess I talk too much but it's obvious when you listen to the bike and see it stalling out and stopping in the middle of climbing a hill more than once. He does have a four stroke bike before hopping on this two stroke. Years of riding is how I can see/hear all of this. But yeah I should shut up.
cant wait for part 2!
Epic video!
Some fun stuff! Just a thought, it almost sounds like you need to go down a tooth on the front sprocket, or up one or two on the back(more expensive) how often are you in fourth or fifth gear. I know, easy for me to say from behind my computer screen. That hill where you stopped towards the end, your friend gassed on it a bit more. You are doing better.
@@ronwest7930 Thanks Ron, yea I’m looking at picking up a 52 tooth rear, stock is 51. In this tight and steep stuff I’m always in 1st gear.
This looks like a blast from where I'm sitting. From where you sit and stand, I can imagine the Anxiety Central.
Where do you stage to ride this area?
If you open google maps and start at where I-17 meets new river rd you will follow that west until you see N 43rd ave which turns into N Gasline rd. You can park anywhere out there in the desert.
Cool video, where did you stage at?
It's like the rocks were placed in the middle of the trail on purpose. Some edgy views and nice scenery.
I haven't been there in years, wish it was closer, it's such a fun place to ride. Makes you good at loose rocky stuff. Fun watching your videos and your progression. Your riding has improved a lot and you're nice and smooth now. Fun stuff! 👍
@@DirtZen Thanks man! Goal is to make it to B level after the 2025 AMRA season. I will be entering all of the AZ races this year. Thanks for watching! Lmk if you want to go for a ride sometime!
Im your biggest fan 🎉
What the exhaust Exactly name men I have the same bike and I want to buy one !!😊
the riding out there looks so much fun im moving to Prescott hopefully in the next few months. but defiantly will be there June next year, plan on getting a dirtbike again.
@@cruzinmoto let me know when you get a bike and we can show you some cool trails
@@desertdrz7618 hell yeah will do
Look fun. Do you guys ever ride weekdays? I never have time on the weekends and always end up solo on a weekday. Sometimes I wait like a creep at 7 mile but It doesn’t seem to be working out haha.
@@imprez22t I don’t usually ride week days, if I do it’s just local for an hour in New River. Best thing I’d suggest is join a local riding group, check out AMRA or facebook. I joined ATR Arizona Trail Riders based in Phoenix.
Dang, i want a drz400
I'm waiting for the 25...see what that brings...
The cool kids pop wheelies……
I like the drive by footage
Epic ride
Great to ride with you and awesome vid!
@@wyotimc had a great time! Looking forward to many more 👍
How has the bike performed? Looking at picking up a leftover 24
It's been great, over 120 hours on it, just normal maintenance oil change and air filter change every 10 hours. I'm a pretty big guy 6'1 250lbs with riding gear and it hauls me around no problem.
Just uploaded a vid, check it out.
I love carb four strokes. They just perform better and are easy to tune for a carb savvy guy
Heck yeah me too! My favorite bikes are carburetorated ❤
For those of us higher up in the Rockies carbureted is not ideal unfortunately
I’m waiting to see if they update the 2025 DRZ sm
@@bigbadvicHo I always wonder why they didn’t put the quad ltz engine in the drz.. it was fuel injected from 2009 until they discontinued it. I just read that Polisport came out with a fresh plastic kit for it to make it look more modern 😆
Talk about some spicy lines! I’d love to get out here some time! Is this open year round or only accessible via the events?
@@MessyRides Great question, I think they close late November because snow as it’s above 7000 ft. I’ll look into it and get back to you. Add me on IG or facebook and I’ll send you some maps like I did at the end of this video.
Can I connect with you on FB or IG to ask you some questions about my new to me 06 ktm 300? I have a feeling you have far more knowledge about these 2 strokes than I can ever hope to have! 😂
Where is this at? Your videos could be a new country western song, "Cactus and Rocks " 👍
@@ronwest7930 Lol. This is near Flagstaff, AZ called Kelly Canyon.. the high desert we are riding at 7200 ft.
That first transfer section was gnarly, made me laugh. Nice work man, being safe and having fun is always #1. Are you on Mousse bibs or tubes?
I'm on bibs, also running the irc ve33s tires. Tires worked really good on the rocks, sand was a different story and it was really silty, very dry, they need rain. All of the other transfer sections were cake but yea I hit that first one and was like.. what did I sign up for lol.
Stoked to hear / see how the race went!
@@MessyRides It was great! First time up at KC, it was definitely rocky but manageable. I only recorded the first test, and a little more than half way through the 2nd test. The GoPro died shortly after and I was in too big of rush this morning to bring another battery. Should have a vid up tomorrow.
@@desertdrz7618 Dang! The only drawback to recording is having to keep the dang thing powered up and recording! I'm looking forward to seeing the ride! We have a ride planned out here in Florence up through the mountains and into Superior for brunch this coming Saturday if you'd like to join in on the ride!
