A Stunning Morning in Barcelona - Fuji X100VI
A Stunning Morning in Barcelona and with the Fujifilm X100VI as a travel camera is one magical combination. This little camera went with me into every scene without any problems. The video footage is I came back with are just as good as the Fujifilm X-T5.
I spent 5 days in Barca and this video contains the first day and with the first sunrise. The family enjoyed every second here as it is really a town for all needs.
20 years ago I spent a year in Barcelona working a Bar. No plan other than party and enjoying life. Sadly photography was not on my mind at all, but to be able to shoot here now, after so many years was real fun.
I missed a photo festival back in Norway as we manage to book the same dates, but go follow my friend @TommyNordpole and he will bring you some heat from Norways first ever Street Photography festival. Names like Sean Tucker and Tonje Sivertsen were among the speakers.
All images are straight out of camera with the Reala La recipe.
Thank you for watching....

    Last time I saw the exact same copy of a scanned photo and the same shot taken with the film “simulation” it wasn’t like the real film at all. The contrast was totally different, the colors were over saturated etc. But Fuji may is something on when they give their cameras little AI brains which do the job of calculating the reaction of a real developed film role….

    • @qimsim_
      @qimsim_ 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yeah, we are not there yet… there are so many factors that change the color and overall look on a film photo. Home or lab developed, how was it scanned, how you expose. We can replicate a film photo exactly in Lightroom, but to get it like a certain photo straight out of camera is a bit to much to hope for.. I’m crossing fingers for even better film like recipes in future, but we are onto something here 🤜✨🤜

    Yeah, vintage lens on Mirrorless cameras... For me, it started with a Helios 44M-6 and some Takumars... it hasn't stopped! My latest vintage lens is a Konica Hexanon AR 28/3.5 that I've been messing around with for the past couple days. I wanted a wider Hexanon lens to help round out that collections of great lenses. if I can suggest one of those, it would be the Konica Hexanon AR 40/1.8. That has to be one of my favorite lenses. Its so damn Good! Wickedly sharp, fairly cheap, easy to use and super colorful and contrasty. But be warned, it will lead you down a trail of wanting more Konica Hexanon AR lenses. I currently own 7 Konica lenses and a set of AR extension tubes. (side note, the 40/1.8 plus a 20mm extension tube makes for an awesome macro setup!) And I didn't spend that much on most of them. I like to find lenses that have a problem that I know I can fix. I picked up the 57/1.4 for $24 because it had a couple dents on the front of the filter threads and the focus ring was a bit stiff. After about an hour and a half, the lens was working perfectly and is now super smooth to turn and the dents are all cleaned up. The glass in that lens was in excellent shape. I didn't even have to really clean anything in that regard, but I did because I had to remove all the glass to fully clean out the old grease to get the focus helicoids clean and turning smoothly again. In the end, that is such a beautiful lens. I did a similar thing with the 50/1.7. It had oil all over the blades. Someone tried to fix the stiff focus ring by dumping a bunch of oil on the helicoids and it just ended up getting everywhere inside the lens. I bought that one for $12 and it came with a Konica 2x converter. Again, remove all the glass, fully clean the aperture. Clean out all the old grease, re-grease the focusing threads and reassemble the lens. That very common and cheap lens is insane how good that lens is. Super sharp and full of character. And they made 4 different versions of the 135mm. I own the f3.2 and the f2.5. I'm still not sure which one I like better! Both sharp, both easy to use, one is a bit faster, but both have a wonderful blur to the bokeh. The 2.5 had a spot of fungus on the rear element and a bit of dust inside. I paid $30 for it, cleaned it up and now I have an amazing lens that is super cool! can't say enough about the Konica lenses!

      Man, Robert, huge thanks(!) It was a good day for shooting. It was actually the only day last week with a bit of sun shine. I need to embrace the grey weather now, haha, do you still have good weather where you shoot?

      @@qimsim_unfortunately not, Kim. It's been grey and cold for the past 3 weeks or so and didn't feel the urge to go out and shoot at all. Still curating my back log from a busy October though, when the weather was still glorious.

    Great video. How did you call that way of photography you got from other photographers? i couldn't hear/understand it... Thanks in advance!

      Thank you, makes me very happy you enjoyed it. About the exposure system? It is called “ Ansel Adams Zone System “ . After I started implementing these guidelines my images came to ‘life’. More than it was before I should say 🤣

    Back to the laid back Kim style in this one! I love to look at photos with that turquoise/orange tonality but ive never liked any of my photos when ive tried it. Ive been playing with some film emulation for the B&W's in Lightroom maybe I will see if I can find some good canon picture styles and give sooc a go (ive been glued to raw for 13 years). Great video and I love that thumb!

      Man, my good friend💚 Appreciate you sir ✨ Fujifilm simulations are really something special, they nailed it with adding sliders for us to customise further. I saw a video lately where they talked about Kodak and that they should come out with a camera or software for their film stocks. They really should, I would get that asap. Canon has always been great, I bet you will find something real good… Happy with the thumb for this, was a fast one, but love the 90’ vibes…

    Hi nice shots and compositions.. If you wouldn’t mind, what camera settings, picture profile, etc. did you used here?

      Hi, thank you Nick ✨ I’m pretty sure I used HLG3, exposed to the right and colorcorrected with a leeming lut. Then graded in Final Cut on this video.
