I recall in 1971 arguing with HDG Prabhupada about the 4 regulative principles. I knew nothing of sex or masturbation which is what he suggested if unable to control physical desires. When it was explained i argued Masturbation is same as having sex with self. Prabhupada just looked away..... I finally in 1977 returned to ISKCON and all women then spoke of was masturbation , especially if you a man looked twice in their direction. About a month ago in our SB morning class, HH BKG said to us that Krishna doesn't wear a dhoti, and Shrimati Radharani doesn't wear a sari. And that "we don't really know what they wear". Needless to say, I was shocked.

It's hearing this sort of ignorant nonsense that puts me right off having anything more to do with Iskcon and some of their bogus so called gurus... Trying to keep some faith in Iskcon after observing how many gurus have fallen down, seeing how many were involved in child abuse, and reading monkey on a stick, is hard enough as it is... I've listened to many hours of Prabhupadas talks over the years and never heard him speak like this... I thought Krishna says in the Gita that people approach him from many different angles, so maybe there's room for many styles of presenting the teachings, that all serve a purpose, and all have their place, to resonate with different people, at varying stages of their spiritual awakenings... Just because some westerners don't want to pretend to be Indian, and play dress up in what in what is predominately clothing of Muslim origin, doesn't mean they might not have respect for India and it's ways and culture... Given time maybe they will embrace it more fully, but this sort of talk will more likely just drive them away in my opinion...

I am amazed by how HK has devolved from our Kind Spiritual Master, past our self appointed successors, to our now of age assumed to be renounced seat fillers. Hriday the only original HK guru remaining who is sane (?) sat in front of me in Honolulu Hawaii temple and promote same sex rlns even though sex is no goal in K.K. I could not believe him as he sat but did congratulate him on his same sex lifestyle as a very wealthy mansion living American leader, none of which is a goal within KK.
