"Authentic Bhuna Hua Qeema Recipe: Spiced Minced Meat Delight"
# Ingredients:
- 500g minced meat (beef or lamb)
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- 2 tbsp oil or ghee
- 2-3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1-inch piece of ginger, grated or minced
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp red chili powder (adjust to taste)
- 1 tsp garam masala powder
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
- Lemon wedges for serving
### Instructions:
1. **Preparation:**
- Heat oil or ghee in a pan over medium heat.
- Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
2. **Sauté Aromatics:**
- Add chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
3. **Add Garlic and Ginger:**
- Add minced garlic and grated ginger. Sauté for another minute until fragrant.
4. **Add Spices:**
- Add coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for a minute to let the spices roast.
5. **Cook Minced Meat:**
- Add the minced meat (qeema) to the pan. Break up any lumps and mix well with the spices. Cook until the meat is browned and cooked through.
6. **Add Tomatoes:**
- Add chopped tomatoes to the pan. Mix well and cook until tomatoes are softened and the mixture becomes somewhat dry.
7. **Simmer:**
- Reduce the heat to low, cover the pan, and let the qeema simmer for about 10-15 minutes. This helps the flavors meld together.
8. **Finish:**
- Sprinkle garam masala powder and stir to combine. Cook for another minute.
9. **Garnish and Serve:**
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
- Serve hot with roti, naan, or rice. Squeeze fresh lemon juice on top before serving for extra flavor.
