    Once you do all this work to this truck, it will no longer be a classic, only another Old truck body riding on a modern drive train, as you say, they are only original once.

    Hi. With all due respect, my '69 SS Camaro was ok with factory setup. When I seriously considered a four link kit I decided against it because of cost and the damage that would be incurred by installing the thing. In my mind it just wasn't worth the time or expense. Just my opinion.

    I have done a couple of these trucks,and if you switch the rear leaf springs end to end the center bolt will be where you need it to be and no extra mounting brackets needed. I hope this helps others that are doing this on these popular trucks!

    Old video I know but well explained. So I have a 67 firebird. I am deciding if I want to go through with the whole Mini tub install (detroit kit), 9" swap(quick performance). I was hoping you could answer some questions since you seem to have just what I am looking for. Id prefer to call you but in any case... Were you able to use the stock Gas tank or did you have to go to a narrowed tank? I prefer my exhaust to exit out to the stock location or at least past the rear tires with some type of tailpipe...is that possible with a 2.5 - 3" exhaust? Is there room to do that with this Ridetech kit? Any help would be appreciated!

    3:90 rear in my 56, kinda sucks, that's why it mostly sits in the garage, but that's what came in these trucks, they were built for hauling, not joy riding.

    great video, thanks for sharing. I wonder if this four link system utilizes an anti sway bar like the classic leaf spring setups. Does it even need anti-roll functionality?

  • @landonnelson6340
    @landonnelson6340 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I noticed at 9:22 in the video, that you have the lower coil over mounts mounted for the mono leaf set up. In the instructions for the weld in brackets, they should be put in the multi leaf holes. The original instructions from Ridetech for the 4 link does not say this, but the instructions for the weld in brackets do. Just readjusted mine by moving them up a whole to the multileaf set up since I also have weld on lower brackets.
