Is this running on original hardware? Or are you emulating? I've never tried to run Tekken Tag on MAME, but Soul Calibur 1 runs terrible every time I've tried (incorrect speed during gameplay, sound issues, random geometry bugs).
It works decent on MAME. It's not too fast.

My goto combo on Li Long was leg grab -> nutsmash. My friends hated me for that
"Needless to say, Heihachi is the best character in the game" That's a funny way of telling people you don't know what you're talking about.
Raditz/Star Platinum Kazuya was for sure a choice. Gotta wonder if they'll ever reference this design again or not someday. I feel like the Tekken 1 designs get sandbagged the most, barring Paul and Heihachi pretty much being their standard looks getting tweaked. Oh, and I guess Anna and Armor King count towards that too.
I'm looking forward to Tekken 2. Jun was my main back in Tag Tournament 1 and I've loved her since ❤
Armor King A.I. was on a whole other level with those lunging leaps into throws😂

Kunimitsu and Devil Kazuya look rough in this game and Anna's leg too.
From what I recall, 'Demon' Kazuya has different stats than standard Kazuya. Ie more damage etc
