Looks a bunch of old stuff no one really cares about too much. Cycles not as popular as they use ta be! For many vendors-- allought of work for nothing!😢😫🤔😖🤚👳♂️
You'd be surprised. A lot of money changed hands out there. If nothing else, you're immersing yourself in the culture.
Is that front fender on backwards?
I don't think so, but maybe?
@@CrustyCycle9317 No it's right. All the pics I find show it like that. Sorry.. I do want one of those bikes though. I had the Honda XL500 and a Yamaha SR500.
@jamesgregory2962 I ended up blowing that bike out for 2k.
Using a couple drop center tools, kind of like that clamp, will make installing tires so much easier. And you put the drop center tool on the opposite side of the tire that you’re working on.
There are special tools for that?
I survived my one.
You're lucky!
That's my Parilla scooter @ 6:04. Started as a parts bike without an engine. Two batteries in the body and a hub motor. The electric drivetrain is a little too much for a 66 year old frame. There's enough torque to put you in the bushes if you're not careful. :)
That's good stuff. It's a really interesting machine, nicely done.
Kawasaki G5 100
Yep yep
That was me and the homies on all the choppers! Too much fun. We’ll be back to make a mess of stuff again next year.
You guys made a good showing. Look forward to seeing you all next year.

Thank you. And thanks for commenting 🙂
: ) OMG! ! ! THANKS SO MUCH for sharing! ! ! Saw my old 2 stoke 125 Enduro I started with, RD 350, and GPZ 550 and SO MANY MORE i would have loved to have, : ) Even my old BFF's CBX ! STILL LOVE the Motos' even if I am retired from them.... ALL the BEST and Cheers ! : )
I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I try to make more like it.
Some of the better footage I have seen of those sections . 🤘
Thank you, and thanks for checking it out.
My o7 dana wide glide cvo dies when it get warm melted 2 batteries
That sucks! It's really frustrating trying to figure out these electrical gremlins, take a deep breath... I'm sure you've probably checked, but regarding engine dying when hot: check coils for cracks. Battery issue: high charge voltage > regulator. Captain Obvious here. Good luck 🙏
Very fine video!! Thanks for Sharing!!!
Thanks, and thanks for commenting.
Cool, thanks for the video. Makes me miss my old Honda and Suzuki.
You're welcome. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
This is a wonderful video that shows all the RD400s from the past and present. The racing scenes are also exciting.
Thanks for commenting. We need to get back out there and ride those machines again...
I enjoyed this so much; I presently own a 1975 Honda CL 360 Scrambler, two old Yamahas and a Honda 90
I'm glad you liked the video. I tried to keep it fast paced and interesting. Sounds like you have some really cool bikes too.
@@CrustyCycle9317 thank you, your style is so calm, I saw a few bikes in you video I have owned and some I’ve owned and didn’t see. I’ve owned a 1942 Harley WW II bike, a 1952 750 KR or Kitt as they are known , a Harley Davidson Sprite or Sprint- sorry it was a long time ago- I’m 74 yoa tomarrow. I’m looking forward to seeing more of your videos 👍🏽 oh, I forgot I’ve got a very nice Yamaha Virago stashed too!
@fj9460-lr Lots of cool bikes present and past. I'll try to keep making cool videos. Bear with me though, as I make content on multiple segments of motorcycling. But there's plenty more vintage stuff to come.
Amazing video, the Kawasaki runs really well, the sound of the engine revving up is wonderful. I have a 1974 Yamaha RD350A, I'm 61 years old and I'm passionate about Two Stroke motorcycles, congratulations on the beautiful video, greetings from Brazil 🇧🇷
Thanks, I'm 61 also. Yeah the H2 still runs good. It's always cool to hear from people abroad.
What's with the guy walking near Chumstick ? 8:09
Yeah, I don't know. I wondered that too. He was just out there walking around.
14:22 The Mighty Garage Bike. Nice Vid.
Thanks, I noticed those were their bikes after the fact. Nice machines.
That's wot I thunked as well .
I look at all these awesome bikes and I burst into tears. I'm a disabled Army tank commander and housebound. I loved riding. At 58 I could no longer ride. It's the only thing that makes my life unbearable. I can't even finish watching your video because it's much too hard. The one activity among many that once gave me so much joy has been stripped from under me. Ride as much as you can because once it's taken away, life becomes no longer worth living.
I'm sorry to hear of your situation. I guess a lot of people, including myself, take our health for granted. I don't know your mobility, but I've seen a lot of innovative workarounds for people with disabilities.
I saw a Harley that was like a chariot. The guy rolled his wheel chair right up in it. I've seen a sidecar rig operated from the sidecar. Again, I don't know your situation, but please don't give up hope. 🙏
Thank you for your service!
Are you riding a GT750?
H2 750 Kawasaki
Yes that was cool Peace out
Excellent! Is this the same Crusty that sells parts on e-bay? The TT was fantastic. Even took a picture of the troll by the lighthouse to prove to the wife there were at least two of us.
That's funny about the troll. I'll have to check that out next year. I just heard about it. It must be somewhat new.
Purely coincidental regarding that ebay seller.
@@CrustyCycle9317 Thanks for your video! It was great there and awesome to watch it again. Bravo!
@@johnx.k.4603 Yeah, good times. I'm happy you enjoyed the video.
Btw that looked like a great ride.
Yeah, it's always a great time. We look forward to it every year.
Was this the same Ferry they used in the Movie The Ring?
Maybe? It kind of looks like it.
Thank you, that was a bloody great vlog watching from Sydney Australia!😀
Thanks from Tacoma, Washington. I'm glad you enjoyed the video 📹
This dude reminds me of Ken Kaplan of the New England motorcycle museum (more like dirtbike museum lol) not the way he looks but like his attitude towards bikes, you can feel the passion !
Right on! Kaplan America 🇺🇸
Technique is your friend (i have a video of putting them on with my motion pro tools) Regardless still pretty rough to put on, but not that bad all in all
I'll check it out. Thanks
I've noticed that with Ethanol Blended Gasoline, my rubber hoses, even those marked as Fuel Lines get very hard. even the Carb Overflow Tubes harden over time. Anybody else notice this? Anybody have any experience with the Ethanol "Neutralizer" additives like SAFEGUARD from LUCAS? I've found a local Circle-K Station that sells Non-Ethanol "88" gas at a premium gas price. I also switched over to TYGON Brand Yellow Fuel Line that is "resistant" to Ethanol Blended Fuel. Any ideas or comments?
Try to source 92 octane ethanol free. It's about $5.50 a gallon in Tacoma.
Like that coffee (soap?) mug....
I'm surprised my wife just let that one go.
I absolutely love this video. Thank you for putting it out on From Vancouver Washington but now I live in Tacoma I’m working on my bike by myself. I could really use some advice. You probably won’t get to my question but if you do, it’d be greatly appreciated if you respond thank you so much for your time and consideration and thank you for this video, great job
Thank you. I might be able to help. What's your question?
Most likely one of the carb has vacuum issue …
Thanks, yeah I thought they were good, but they're still not right. I'll take them off again next season.
Thanks for all your patience with my tube or tubeless dilemma. I did go Tubeless, got the rear wheel done and installed back on the bike. Ran into some "well, gotta figure this out" issues, but managed. Now, on to the front end.
All right, way to go.
@@CrustyCycle9317 Like making sausage.. Just enjoy the results. It's one of those stories you tell when you're relaxing in the garage, having a beer or two on Sunday evening with your biking buddies..
Missed it this year, went last year and was reminded of some of the bikes I used to own!
Well, darn it. Try make it out next August.
Damn I would buy that CB750 in heartbeat, that's exactly what I'm looking for on the other side of the country lol
I think there's a lot of motorcycle swap meets on the East Coast, too.
@joelarson1733 my best Bud had a 2 week old 81' Honda CB 750 Custom (nice bike) .... he couldn't figure out how/why people would flock to my bike when we pulled up somewhere and not even notice his new bike. My bike was a 1942 Harley 45 ci Flathead Chopper with forward controls, hand shift/foot clutch. What a damn fool I was to sell it ..... I'm almost 70 & have a cruddy old 1400 Intruder 💧 If you own a vintage 🏍 machine, don't sell it
@@speedfreak8200 Now that's some good advice. Thank you.
Every time I mention my Knucklehead, my girlfriend thinks I'm talking 👄 about her ..... seriously check out this great 🎵 🎶 song by Otis Gibbs "Panhead Chopper" you will love it
Okay, that's my new theme song 🎵 Thanks
I like the video,I've been meaning to go to the swap meet for a while now.Just never made it out.I have a 1959 XLH and was wondering if you could recommend a shop for some engine work I need done. I live in Renton Wa.
I'm sorry, I don't have a recommendation. I struggle with them myself. That 59 Panhead chopper. But definitely come to the swap meet.
Well, I'm still not sure what's best. Each has its advantages and disadvantages. Tube tires supposedly "blow out" when punctured and tube tires leak down when punctured. A punctured tube cannot be plugged on the wheel. A tubeless tire can be plugged in an ememrgency, long enough to make it home for a proper patch. I'm ordering a set of both tubes and bolt in valve stems with the option to use one plan and return the unused parts.
I went tubless, and yes, I did have to drill out the rear rim.And i'm not happy that I had to do that or the way that the valve stem fits. Use your best judgment. I have no recommendation either way.
@@CrustyCycle9317 Thanks, that helps.. At least I know I'm not the only one with this issue. I don't want to be stuck in the middle of nowhere with a flat. But, at least I also have AAA towing for my bike.
@philatwood2086 You're welcome 😊

10:55 never expected to see a Maico there
You never know what's going to turn up at this event.
@@CrustyCycle9317 True! They are pretty uncommon in Germany, wasnt expecting to see one in a random video in the USA of all places haha
@stephenhauer9055 Nah, there's quite a few over here, still being raced and displayed at shows.
That is a Matchless not a Maico.
@@billwatcher9321 I stand corrected my bad
You Don’t do wheelie on the road
Maybe you don't...
Just curious what I need to do to convert my 79 Suzi GS-1000e mag wheels from OEM Tubeless to Tube.. And Can it be done? Thanks to anyone who has done it and has any tips,,,
Just take the valve stem out and throw a tube in.
Wow!! my original question was all backwards.. I want to convert from Tube to Tubeless. Note to self.. Proofread comments before posting..
@philatwood2086 I'm not sure how to do that.
Other helpful resources I lean on are the Suzuki GS owners groups on Facebook. They're full of suggestions, some good, some not so much. There's a big community out there.
Now that I've asked the right question about converting tube to tubeless and done some research, this is what I've found. The online bike diagrams only show a Tube Type Assembly for both mag wheels. The hole for the valve stem is too small for a standard 11 mm automotive type valve stem. It happens to be 8.3 mm, which was used on older BMWs and some other brands. The trick was finding a bolt in valve stem because the rim is just too thick for the usul "pop in" valve stem, anyway. And they don't seem to make pop-in stems in 8.3 mm, at least I couldn't find any. So... I finally found and ordered some longer reach 8.3 mm valve stems on Amazon. Since i can't post a link, the description is "Circuit Performance VS43 Black Bolt-in Valve Stems 43mm (Set of 4)". I'm hoping they will fit so I can finish the new tire installation. Then I'll know if it holds air. I polished the inside rim bead in hopes it would seal correctly. I will keep you posted.
Perfect bike for fartin around on.
Yep, pretty much. Just throw a leg over and go.
Thanks for the video! I've been eyeing on this. Do you think it could fit on my CFMOTO 450MT? Looks a lot like the T7 from a design perspective.
I really can't say on the fitment. I will say, after 1200 miles on it, I'm happy. If you can verify it will fit your machine, I recommend it. It's a little noisey for about 300 miles.
@@CrustyCycle9317 thank you for the prompt reply. You got a new subscriber.
My 450MT came with an OEM chain guide…
I learned this years ago on my 990. The best $25 bucks you can spend is at the local tire shop for these kinds of rears. As for being on the trail, good luck, especially if it is cold. It is why a pint of FlatOut and factory PSI whenever possible is the only way to go. Momentum beats traction all the time.
Right on, all great points. 👉
The 3 obviously non original red dirt bikes are all missing the XR sticker on the side cover's, Could have simply got them reproduced at a good vinyl shop for cheap too & said machines look way better than the obnoxious Chinese knockoff condition there in now a good Chinese knockoff artist can & will make a Chinese knockoff version & it would be hard to spot, But l can smell a Chinese knockoff from miles away.
Are you suggesting those are Chinese motorcycles? Or, just re-pop side covers that aren't badged correctly?
Best bike of the whole lot was at 9:08 , especially for the young son or daughter wanting to simply advance the 2 wheel riding skills if there born with the gift. And that's as true as it gets only the true 2 wheel people are born with the gift of 2 wheel maturity stevil benevil Sr might be a good example of being born to break all your bones in your body because your natural nothing good at anything else. Period benevil is a confirmed stupid rat race joke of failing at following in your pahs footsteps. Again period
When you go to get that second bead on I have found it is better to put the soap/lube on the backside of the bead since that is the part dragging across the rim. Putting it on the front really doesn’t do much when mounting the tire. You want the lube between the two surfaces that are passing over each other.
Makes sense. Thank you for commenting.
@@CrustyCycle9317 also when I have a tire with a stiff side wall I grab some appropriately sized sockets 13/14/15 mm and stuff them between the bead and the rim on the opposite side of the side I am working on to force the bead into the drop center.
@Jarvis60 Yeah, I've heard that one, too. I'll try that next time. RMMC sent me two more rears due to the recall.
Wow! Great show and a great location!! Thanks for your video!!
I'm glad you enjoyed the video. 📹 It can be really nice in Washington, if it doesn't rain. 🌦
