what pisses me off the most is that scout and awp have different zoom levels, and especially sensitivities
I hate the ppl that use this annoying ass gun in my games
Regarding the hostage spawnpoints: Im all in favor on rotating hostage locations, i think the old options were great, but there shouldn't be such a massive balancing difference between the individual spots. The spot above stairs is waaaaay way better than the one in front of the shelf or in paper/dark. The idea of "oh cool we got the bad spawn" doesn't seem like fun... In Italy there is one spawn point for the t-spawn hostage that is outside on the balcony, which makes it so much harder to get that particular hostage compared to all other spawns inside of the house.
It's a pity that in CSGO Valve fixed the movement of the hostages only in Mar 21, 2013 update. Unfortunately in CSS, CZ and CS 1.6 the problem still exists. But the best solution I think is to fix CZ hostages so they do not jump all the time an make them smaller than the players.

The interesting part about AUG that a lot of players don't get is how tight the spread is, when you're scoped in. You literally can accurately spray from short to firebox on Mirage, but what ends up happening is the opposite - you overcompensate and shoot to the lower stomach or worse - to the legs.

1:09 you can simply set zoom sens to 0.818 and it will match your normal sensitivity
I believe this value is the one for awp and scout. sg and aug have a different zoom level so they would require a different zoom sens, something around 0.72
I miss the SG from csgo pre-nerf. I took the time to learn the spray pattern and get used to the scope well before it briefly became meta(I used it often when it still cost $3000). It was so fun and satisfying to play with, and few players felt comfortable with the gun so dying with it was arguably less impactful than CTs getting an AK or something. It's kinda funny they nerfed it so much because it went unchanged and unnoticed for many years until the pros finally realized how GOATED it was after Valve dropped its price. I'm still salty about the firerate nerf too, because that part specifically made the gun just feel quite different. It affected the spray pattern and made my practice with the gun not worth much...
I think that I unironically started the meta, I used it well well well before it was meta, the proof is in my steam comments of people calling me ''a noob SG user'', lul higher rof, same dmg, easier recoil and less spread. Plus a scope to peek at AWPers if you need it. I almost forgot, higher first shot accuracy
I saw literally zero people use the SG after maybe the gold ranks, thousands of games and not a single SG user, maybe an AUG once in a while, but never the SG

I kinda wish i could have a way for 2 different sensitivities with my weapons when im using them, it is so useful for long range and close. Pretty much the reason i can do well with the scoped rifles in cs

All they need to do is allow the option to make the zoom feel 1:1 with your hip sens. Most games I've played someone figures out this multiplier and posts it on reddit and you're trolling if you don't use it. The fact that the sg 1 taps and the aug does not makes the aug never, ever worth buying.

If sensitivity is an issue, try creating a macro that adjusts it when you zoom in, but that might actually be a bannable offense. I do wonder how it would play.

I like the thought of having the scopes mimic the awps first zoom level. Adding more weapons to fit a role in the team is what the game needs I feel. Not only is your awper using a sniper but also the scoped weapons would be very nice
Valve just buffed Famas and M4A4 a little. I very hope sg553 will get some of its glory back aswell.
I might actually play CS2 if Valve upped the firerate of the SG some. It's just not the same gun it used to be
in csgo you could change the color of the sg and aug crosshair, but in cs2 its always green so you cant even see it, it turns invisible on dust2 and mirage and its arguably the most important maps FOR USING THIS GUN SO THEY NERFED IT BY HAVING AN INCREDIBLY USELESS BUG AND THEY DONT EVEN UNDERSTAND GUN BALANCE IN THEIR GAME ITS COOKED AF im gonna go play valorant now

I just wish I could use the 2019 csgo SG. The zoom was nice but the fire rate was so much faster.
Yeah, the firerate nerf in particular killed the gun. It literally changed how you had to compensate for the spray pattern, and just generally made the gun feel quite different. I took the time to learn the SG and ended up preferring it over AK before the nerf (before it briefly became meta with pros/the wider community too) It was in the game untouched for many years, so it really sucks that everyone realizing the gun was actually GOATED caused it to be fundamentally changed.
@@igniex Same man, it was my go-to rifle for years even before the price reduction to $2,750. Sucks how valve responded when everyone caught on. The slow spray feels pretty bad to use but at least the first bullet accuracy is still there.

X1 really makes this gun REALLY feel like the CoD gun, i'm thinking they should bring back the extension of the head from source.

Some ideas: - Your idea of putting the zoom level to the same level as AWP first zoom, so zoomed Krieg shots can be used by AWPers as kind of an auto-Scout effectively. - Krieg uniquely suffers in close quarters, its damage could be increased to let it 3-shot someone at close range with no headshot and keep the fire rate the same. - Remove the little animation that plays every time you scope in. You can start shooting even if you press M2+M1, and that really can mess up your spray, as your first shot comes out while you are in the process of zooming in. The sniper rifles do not suffer the same downside, while being better(AWP). - An idea from 1.6, Krieg can get its old fire rate back and then have the fire rate get reduced to what it is now when zoomed in. So, Ts can shoot unscoped at close quarters and then zoom in for the farther targets, instead of struggling with the AK. AUG is a fine weapon as of right now, MAYBE the price can come down to $3200 now that the M4A4 got the same buff, but if money is no problem, AUG is damn good, and strictly better than both the M4s. Krieg is the one that is dead in the water, strictly worse than the AK in everything but the first shot potential.

after the Kreig and the AUG were so powerful in the meta, and after all the other weapon balance fiascos CS has seen, I don't think Valve are ready to change a damn thing about any weapons. Biggest change we got was the AWP mag cut from 10 down to 5 bullets, and that was totally justified imo
and made it more realistic since the AWP irl has 5 bullets haha

@@versusVSversus. yeah, but the CS AWP is a weird mix of three different versions of the rifle - visuals are the OG L69A1, name is taken from the second rendition, the Artic Warrior (and they technically shouldn't use P for police, this should be an AWM for military) and the magnum rounds were a later revision on the thrid version iirc. Realism on the CS AWP is not quite there lmao

I've always kept my zoom multiplier at 1.0 cus I hate it changing when I scope in. Maybe thats part of why I am an enjoyer of scouts, kriegs, augs etc. So many of my friends don't like anything with a scope that isn't an AWP, it could be cus the differing zoom levels throw them off. For me its always the same.
Nah just keep these guns unplayable. Cs is designed as an oldschool hipfire game and it doesnt fit the style at all. Also all highlights from aug and krieg timeline look less impressive. Valorant has scope on multiple weapons and it makes the long range duels so easy for the passive player.
The SG and Aug existed in the game for a long time before they were nerfed. They were always viable, but few people took the time to learn their differences. The SG's stats were the same for many years until Valve decided to drop its price and suddenly everyone realized how good it actually was. I had practiced with it before the price change and preferred it over AK. The firerate part of the nerf made the SG feel fundamentally different and changed the spray pattern a bit. This made a lot of the practice I had with the gun kinda useless and made the game less fun for me overall. There's nothing wrong with rifles that play a bit differently, and just because there are viable alternatives to the AK doesn't mean you would be forced to use them. The community literally ignored the pre-nerf SG for years before the price drop...
