649 dollars ? Forget it
this sounds awesome!! great job covering this song, one of my absolute favourites :]
Thank you!! Long time Smiths fan here.
in my firebird, if I pull off or trill the E, the keys fry all over the keyboard, do you have the same problem?
I’m not sure I understand what you’re meaning here.
I'm italian!, i try to explain better. Do you try to hammer on and pull off the 1th string E ( mi cantino in italian) all over the neck ? On my firebird the 1th string bazz when I do this.
@@darioreboli7105 I've got an Epiphone Explorer. It has the same problem. The slot for the 1st string E is too close to the edge of the fretboard. The string slips off the edge more easily in positions 1, 2, 3 and 4. In the higher positions it becomes less of a problem. I was going to change the nut but I'm used to it now. When doing the trill, don't pull the finger down to the side. Use a more up and down motion and there's no problem.
@@TexasBlues-123 I think the fret is cut at 45 degrees and not well rounded. during pull off on 1st E, the string goes under the fret and bazz. on my RG, strato, tele, ar420 (LP-like) the fret reaches the edge of the neck and is rounded and the 1st E is not bazz, during pull off
@@darioreboli7105 Yeah. 45 degrees cut is the problem.
what is the strumming pattern of the C#m7 to F#m7? Of the part before the chorus. great tutorial btw!
Thanks!! It was my first. On the C#m7 I hear it as…. ⬇️..⬆️.⬆️⬇️. ⬇️⬆️⬇️.⬇️… Then repeats on theF#m7. I hope that makes sense. I’ve seen some variations on tab I’ve looked at. Good luck with it. I’ve found teaching it harder than expected. 😬
@@Guitarallday247Thank you so much!
I had to adjust the neck for the same reason. Works great now😃
That's great! Doesn’t take much to turn almost unplayable at certain points on the neck into a great guitar.
I found a music shop that makes and sells a while truss rod cover (3 ply) with gold “Epiphone” on it. Looked pretty good.
Sounds cool. I’ll check it out.
Great attempt, however I feel you need to move to Manchester, England for the full "Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now" experience! 😂
Thanks!! I went there in the 90’s and I’ve got to admit that at the time the weather was enough to make anyone miserable. Late 80’ and early 90’s was all about The Happy Mondays and New Order for me with a good dose of Stone Roses and a few other Manchester bands. Would have enjoyed that scene in its day.
@@Guitarallday247 And you didn't even mention Oasis, Charlatans or The Inspiral Carpets. Was talking to a guy a couple of months ago who owned a night club in Manchester during the 90's hey day. Had some amazing stories to tell.
I just found "24 Hour Party People" on TH-cam. Time for a rewatch. Factory records. The Manchester scene. The Hacienda club. All those bands. So good.
A decent bloke, playing for the joy of it, like the the rest of us
The decent part has been disputed at times. 😬
Cool camera angle!
Thanks!! It’s just one of those GoPro gooseneck clamps clamped onto the headstock.
I can relate to a lot of this. I struggle to upload videos to TH-cam. It’s intimidating and it’s hard to think I can add any value to the mass of content that’s out there, but you’re right, it’s really about your own enjoyment and like you, I love to play guitar and I’ve spent way too much money on gear just because I can. Keep at it mate! Coz why not!
Thanks!!! I checked out your videos. Your playing is way ahead of mine. It’s what I’ll probably what I’ll be uploading. Some playing. Some gear. Although I don’t think I’ll be getting my hands on anything George Harrison owned anytime soon.
@@Guitarallday247 oh, I didn’t buy it trust me! I didn’t even ask the price
The experiance of 99% of all Guitarists. who never really believe they are '"Real Guitarists" You play Guitar, so you are .... yeah!!!
Exactly!!
Keep being you, fella! 99% of us are just intermediate guitarists doing what we love and trying to get better. I love your outlook... keep going. You play well - and you're very relaxed in front of the camera. Stick with it. We need more beards and Gretsches in our life!
Thanks!!! I spent yesterday figuring out “Heaven knows I’m miserable now”. Just checked yours out. Awesome!! I’ll be tuning in for some more. Keep it up!!
Another really good performance my friend!🎸
You're too kind.
I’ve played guitar for years and watched hundreds of TH-cam vids on intonation,String heights,Truss rod adjustments but I’ve never ever tried any of them as I’m scared in case I fuck it up and have to end up taking it to a music shop to get done properly,
Understandable. You can’t go too wrong with a fixed bridge like this one. Floating bridges can be a little more fiddly. The alternative is to play an out of tune guitar. Try small changes taking note of what you’ve done so anything can be reversed.
Sounds out of tune or intonation issues?
Yeah. Lesson #1. Tune your guitar before doing a video. I did a follow up highlighting some issues and it now needs to be re-intonated.
@@Guitarallday247 nice tone though. I just ordered one 🙈
@@edatkinson322 you won’t regret it.
@@Guitarallday247 I almost bought a ESP LTD Phoenix instead but it was 9#, my Firebird is 7lbs 4oz
