Played it from the start untill like 4 years ago (got over 1800 hours on steam). Since then ive been online here and there, but the player base is suuuper small. Would love it if they bring it back and can make it more popular again. BTW, being a Leon main over all the years: Pinot Noir was one of the first picks i would get. The healing over a short period is insane, especially when you go stealth often and fool the enemy. You get such an health advantage over the enemy and also you have to return to base less quick.

I enjoyed Predecessor. Then I got two terribly matchmade Games and the League Trauma came up. Matchmaking and Anti Smurf Measures are the most important things in a moba alongside the general feel of the game.

Level based unlocks are in like every mmorpg

It could run on a potato and the game wasnt actually bad I think you just dont like the game But your right about why lock characters behind expansions and I guess they did things differently back then i remember having tedmcpain and it wasnt really over powered but in some aspects it was also ayla was one of my favourite characters. The cubes are solar the currency of the game

Predecessor is the best version of paragon, and as of right now it better than paragons last few months alive. They is still work to be done with jungle and minions, but the balance and gameplay are top tier. Compared to smite it’s at least 5x better.

2:20 you don’t want a tutorial for a moba ? Are you stupid imagine someone who never played a moba before just going directly in a standard game and then ruining it for everybody because they don’t know how shit works. Leage of legends has a tutorial as should every other moba have one.

I would love for you to do a update on this game in the future. Just so people can see what its like today.

My 2 cents on the monitization: I always felt the game never made enough money so the dev were never able to reinvest enough to keep the game relevant. Anything in this game is so cheap, especially the skins and the Expansions were all pretty reasonable price as well.

Played 1 game of predeccesor had 2 players AFK in the spawn was then trapped in the game for 20 minutes unable to even leave, uninstalled that garbage

Still play every now and then. Awesomenauts is definitely a fun game. 😎🔥🤙

Watching this video 5 months after this video aired, they’ve updated the game and added another armor type (not that cool though), and some other small updates, it’s not perfect but the game deserves some more love.

Best mobile ever

Actually its playable with beta branch/old patch. Uses steam for matchmaking. For me, it takes not that much time to get a match. A few players still there :). Hope, they delete it from steam forever because i cant stop playing it :D. best moba in my opinion. Skolldir's Theme = Best one :D

It was announced recently on Atari's podcast that they plan on bringing the servers back soon! I can't wait to play peak once again!!

I used to play this game on my crappy laptop with mostly lag for almost 100 hours, it was a great part of my childhood and I love this game a ton. Im sad that the servers are down as I wanna play it again, relive my childhood again. I hope Atari revives the game and keeps it as it is as this game is awesome (no pun intended)

I played predecessor just yesterday and i got a 1 day ban from the game because i did not choose my character within the 30 second time limit. I was trying to read the character abilities because somebody took the player i use. Screw predecessor.

Lets be VERY clear. Paragon didnt die. It was killed. Epic killed it. Be it tencent wanting the compition gone, or epic putting more rescouces to Fortnite. Talk to anyone who played it. Theyll tell you the same story.

For better or worse. Predeccecor is much more like paragon. Kinda expects you to have played it or another moba before.

I have played this for 12 years

One thing a lot of people seem to miss is his change in the flow and candance based o. What whats coming next in the beat , while still thinking of the words to make up a scheme with. The beats do changes too and he follows up with it. His beats are dynamic at times and people get so lost in the whole thing that they cant even tell how much tbe beat dictates his peogessive flow

I used to love this game, but I dropped out as soon as it introduced the first DLC character. I do still enjoy its music tho.

Bring it back I will buy everything again np at all. ( falls on deaf ears at Atari)😢

Pred is free to play. A 1 time $5 payment should be a pass to get all premium items for all characters. I have every character unlocked on Pred and I've spent $0 on the game. Pred is the closest to the original Paragon. A few more tweaks and the game will be awesome

I hope Atari revives the game, Awesomenauts easily has the nicest online community out of any MOBA, they put most of them to shame. LoL, DOTA, Smite, none of them hold a candle to the incredibly wholesome Awesomenauts community. Even the Fanart competitions were incredibly nice, people getting the fanart they submitted to be shown during the loading screen instead of another microtransaction item that makes the screen not bland. I miss Awesomenauts. Rocco is still my goat✊

As a former player and who used to even do a lot of fanart for it (my art even ended up on that loading screen showcase under Foxwolf, and I ended up on one of the dev streams, their "Streamishos") it was a fantastic 2D game. It was one of my favorite MOBAs to play. There wasn't a lot of controversy around the DLC characters, and in the latest version there was a "free character" rotation system where you could play whatever character was on rotation regardless of whether or not you had the DLC the character was from. The solar (the little money blocks) gathering in the drop pod section of the game didn't provide a huge boost and you eventually remembered their patterns. The only issues that came along with the Kickstarters for each DLC/expansion was that some of the Kickstarter rewards were severely delayed if released at all. The company gambled on their game Blightbound, which allegedly wasn't marketed by its publisher so it didn't get the advertising it needed and they ended up bleeding what money they had on that project and due to the neglect Awesomenauts faced it bled even more players but a dedicated (albeit VERY toxic) community persisted. The community was always somewhat toxic but in the later years I ended up leaving the community due to the poor behavior of many of the remaining players. There were still balancing issues with the latest version (the leveling system being a part of it) but I'm not sure if they were planning on fixing that or not. I hope Atari can bring it back and balance it. It's difficult to do an accurate review of the quality of the game in the current state of it, especially with the lack of ability to access the current version. Your assessment of the DLC situation was highly inaccurate, though this is something that would be hard to gauge in general when you're not able to experience either the newest version of the game, nor have you had any history with the game, release of DLCs and expansion events included. It still had balancing issues in the end, but the leveling system didn't impede upon that a lot. It was easy to get levels.

Predecessor has been amazing so far, we just need mouse and keyboard on ps5 and lower shop prices ☺️
