It seems counterproductive, but the opposite is true - you have to ease taxes and increase spending. i.e., you have to create heat and fuel before you can get a fire going. Removing fuel and heat only results in a dampened smolder. It is a shame none of these politicians seem to have any idea of business or how to generate wealth.
