Do you know what the gap is set to? Ive seen anything from .44 to .56 Ive got an 2009 2.5L Mazda 6 basically the same as yours.

HINT !! TURN THE NEW PLUG BACKWARDS A FEW TIMES YOU WILL FEEL IT DROP JUST A LITTLE NOW YOU CAN SLOWLY TURN IT IN AND NO CROSS THREADING ..... THIS WORKS FOR ALL SPARK PLUGS . AND ALSO BOLTS ... TURN BACKWARDS FEEL IT DROP IN ....... TRY IT NEXT PROJECT .

Why wouldnt you show retracting the piston?

If you back off the handbrake adjustment and remove cable from caliper, there is no need to struggle and "work off" the caliper

Can you just change the pads without changing rotors?

I have a rattle in my back wheel and I suspect it's coming from my brake pads just from the research I've done. Do you know why it would be rattling? I had the car inspected at Mazda when I got it but they didn't mention them, but I did have my normal mechanic look at something else and he said something wasn't attached to the brakes correctly but that it would be ok. Have you heard of anything like that?

I have my 2006 matrix I haven’t done anything to it since I got it in June of 2021. I been keeping em eye on everything and oil is still a light brown and isn’t burned like what you normally see. But this weekend I’ll be doing the oil and spark plugs..

My 2006 matrix has 150,000 miles/240,000 km, and I don’t know if the spark plugs have ever been changed. But with your video, now I know how do. But I would get a spark plug gap gauge.

Make sure to buy a spark plug gap tool and gap your plugs! If the gap is too small or large it could cause poor gas mileage or piston misfires
