@@JakeandHeather thank you. It's one I am considering, but I'm not excited about the app. I found some brands that need to the app just to make them work. As 'exciting' as tech is, it's also another failure/hackable point. Have you found the burner require larger diameter pans? It looks like even the simmer burner has quite a gap in the grate. Appreciate your video and reply.

@carriesearskohles7891 I agree with you about using apps. It seems cool and all but usually just another thing to break and becomes a pain in the a$$. You can get by just fine without ever using the app if you don’t want to with this range. I’ve only ever used the app a handful of times to turn the oven on from the couch. Pans all seem to fit and work just fine. During the holidays, the extra space and 2 extra burners really come in handy!

@@dorothy135 congratulations! You’ll love it. Ours does not have a warming drawer. I don’t recall seeing that model when we were looking. We also have the 36” so maybe that model doesn’t offer it? Idk 🤷

We sold it a few years ago after our adventure had come to a close. We sent out to travel for a year before settling down to have kids. Are you thinking of hitting the road in a van build?

I dont know yet....but we definitely appreciated the video and your skills...after your time in the van can u te me what were the top 3 things u wish u did differently or had while living in the van and during your time on the road did u experience any mechanical issues that needed professional service...since it was a freightliner engine I'm.just wondering how many service centers had technicians that knew those types.of engines...tank u

@john-h5j6w well we had just about the worst luck you could have. The engine ended up failing us going up a really steep hill in upstate New York. Thankfully, our in-laws were only four hours away. Definitely have a good AAA tow plan! I was able to figure out how to get a replacement engine in the van myself however, this would obviously have been way more expensive if I had to take it to a shop, it was all part of the experience and we don’t regret a thing!!

@@HayleyHolesh hey! 👋🏼 we did keep the original hardware on the appliances. We went with some handles from amazon that mostly match, although we don’t love them (feel kind of light/cheap) and will eventually try to find another set. We went with a Moen faucet. Can’t recommend the smart faucet as Moen has had to send us a new mixer valve box multiple times. They do have a 5 yr warranty and have always been great to deal with, I just think the smart faucet wasn’t ready for production. I think they have newer models now that probably solve that problem.

The fridge is actually the only thing that has been perfect! We had an issue with the dishwasher and the range, both were covered and repaired by GE for free, but the fridge hasn't had any sort of problems. (we had issues with the LCD screen on both the range and the dishwasher)

🤘🏼🤘🏼 I absolutely think they are worth installing in your new home. They really have been great and durable. Especially with our new little one banging his toys and cars into it they don't seem to dent very easily. Don't seem to scratch or at least show scratches either. They look very good going on 3 years old now. This country can't afford to have anyone besides TRUMP to win!

Yep, when I found out from your vid that the timer was enabled after update, that’s the first thing I did when I turned on mine. SW version is 2.0.28.70. I’m wondering if you could do a quick fav and switch to Celsius, and see if it shows Fahrenheit in C right after you set the preheat temp? No need to actually heat it since it will show target temp right after you click start and then cancel. Curious if it’s just my unit!

So far so good, think it has been over 2 years now. I don’t think we have the two drawer model though

I just ordered one to be installed soon. Saw it at NFM in person and it looks cool. Great for small loads and saving water. If you have a larger family with a lot of dishes to clean daily, it might be better to get one that's not split.

I actually changed my order to the single cafe door. The double drawer had negative reviews because there is no water that hits the top side of the drawer. Definitely a problem to get things clean from the top

It’s a huge flaw in design. If you can cancel and change I would. All of my kitchen appliances are Cafe, I love them. My oven is a double oven, would have loved if the double drawer dishwasher was a go, but I just couldn’t do it after talking to several people in the appliance business, and looking at reviews. I’m sorry, I know it’s super disappointing.

@@travelingduet I haven’t seen much about the 2 drawer dishwasher. We had some minor issues with ours that I mention in the videos but they were resolved quickly by GE. Overall they have been fantastic for us

@@SMTortorella so we actually have that same problem. It just so happened that we decided to do counter top matching quartz up the wall as a backsplash. That 1.5in thick quartz sticks off the wall and covers the gap from not being able to push the stove all the way back. You may need to have your gas valve re positioned to get it to slide all the way back

Hmmmm have you gone in the settings on the stove and tried to reset the WiFi setting and put into pairing mode?

Yeah i think i remember an older comment from someone saying they had the same issue with the newer model. I can’t confirm myself but I know others are still having success with the older model

It uses tablets and/or powder. The refill notification is for the JETDRY auto dispenser. Usually needs re-filled once a month if running a load every day/other day
