I tried to teach myself the violin for years. I made some progress then took a long break. Finally decided to take it seriously two years ago at 36 years old and started taking lessons every two weeks. I had to unlearn a lot of bad habits. You're doing good so far so keep it up! Practicing everyday is a big factor. You lose the muscle memory very quickly in the early stages if you skip practice. Even though it's not as fun as learning songs, I'd recommend finding some simple scales and learn those really well for at least part of your daily practice. It's important to focus on one thing at a time, so a simple scale lets you focus on your bow hand and making a good sound first. I've spent months trying to master some scales because once you fix one aspect of your playing, you start to notice other issues. There are many subtle things you need to keep track of until your muscles learn them automatically. I'd also recommend finding a teacher if you can, even if it's only once a month, and even an online teacher would do. Having someone give you live feedback makes a huge difference because it's difficult to look at yourself and figure out what you're doing wrong at the beginning. The violin can be very frustrating at times, but if you keep the momentum going, the little victories will give you the motivation you need. All the best on your journey!

I did the driver cv joint today I could not get it to pass the c clip on the installation. eventually I beat it into submission I hope it does not cause me a lot of trouble if I ever I have to remove it again. I figured if I had to remove the entire shaft like you just did it would be easier doing the cv joint with the whole shaft out of the car. time will tell thanks for the lesson in CV joint repair on my C300 4 matic 2009 and 2011 keep up the great work

My 2014 CLS just inspected by MBUK and told subframe rotten despite recently passing MOT. It appears to be a design fault and rusts from inside out, so visually looks ok but could be completely rotten and dangerous. Waiting to hear if MB will replace FOC.

i cant line up the strut and the rotor to put the screws in. the rotor is just stuck tilted forward and it wont line up with the strut. feels like its stuck on something. someone help?

Hi i have a C180K mercedes W204 2008 1.8 petrol/gas elegance. My radio/sound is working fine. The only problem is the screen. The screen is on and illuminated but it is not readable/fuzzy. What should i do. Thanks

I've got 204 Mercedes Benz radio. The problem is, the radio plays as if the ignition is off. It plays for a certain time and switches itself off and l must press on again for it to play. And it's not communicating with the steering anymore. At you can't see the radio it's dark but playing

Many of these subframes are under "extended warranty" (effectively a recall without officially being a recall) You can get them replaced for free after a safety inspection at a Mercedes dealer. Just had one replaced on a 2010 E350 with 210k miles 2 weeks ago. Here is the info and the years and models under warranty.
