When Ann Miller is doing her dance. Check out the woman in yellow sitting down behind her moving back and forth even when there's no music lol
The best episode of The Love Boat day ever made you know you would never see this many stars on One show today
The episode The LB jumped the shark
To think that I can hear AND watch Ethel whenever I need a boost. I am in heaven. Work it Ethel!
Good grief it's nice to see everybody but Ann Miller. Is still a force and a star to be reckoned with🎉 she was tapping right off into the sunset. Glorious
Wow! They even had Cab Calloway!!
Old Hollywood was greatly talented!
This also makes me recall a Season 4 episode where, in the same sequence, young Jill Whelan is given the privilege of dancing with Ginger Rogers and being taken off scene arm in arm with Douglas Fairbanks Jr..
This is as truly a star-studded lineup as one will ever get to see in a television episode: Ethel Merman, Carol Channing, Ann Miller, Della Reese, Cab Calloway and Van Johnson. My god!
Que lindos recuerdos de esta serie.
to bad some of those musical acts in some episodes (Ginger Rogers) were cut/deleted from the german tv.
Did the Captain come out of the closet? Just kidding....
Is there a clip of Merman and Gopher singing "You're the Top?" I remember it but can't find it.

It's NOT "Hey, Captain Steubing, here I am".
You Make Me Feel So Young - first time ever hearing this song... classic!
This is why I adore "The Love Boat." Ethel Merman is singing to Wonderful Van Johnson!
What season is this? I don't remember seeing this one
I can see why Gavin MacLeod loved this and the critics loathed it. Gavin is playing a completely different character here, a Broadway star straight out of New York, and it’s too unsettling to accept that Captain Stubing of all people would dance like a Broadway star. Kind of like the Brady Bunch Variety Hour.
Imagine if you showed up at the studio one day to be hired as an extra in the Love Boat lounge and these four ladies are who they put in front of you.
One of my Fav Love Boat episodes, ol Capt Stubing gave em everything on the bravado
Wow Ethel Merman still hit it out of the park and Ann Miller acted like she was still at MGM stopping the show
I used to hate this show, but what theatrical film had a cast like this?
Who else gave us actors from Hollywood's Golden Age? Such a thrill for classic film lovers.
I love this show and seeing van and the other stars well it was nice.
👍
Oh how I longed for this to have dear Judy in it...and Ann-Margret.
RIP DELLA REESE(1931-2017)
RIP DELLA REESE(1931-2017),,Now only Carol Channing(1921) is still alivd
Oops!
*sigh If only...
I absolutely love it!
I LOVE Van! He said he had a fantastic time taping this show. They all look like they're having a great time. If you love classic movie stars, this is AWESOME! Thanks for uploading!
This is just all fucked up wrong how sad
Wtf is wrong with this
You have to give Ann Miller lots of credit for her dancing performance here. This is 30 years after the film of "Kiss Me Kate" at MGM. She is dancing on tables and moving pretty well.
MrImiller07 Pretty well? Man...after seeing a 112 year-old Arthur Duncan dancing in that Tap movie, I feel like the only people who should be trusted to tap are elderly people! I'll tell you who I worry about: Carol Channing! I thought she was having a stroke until I did some searching and realized that's just how she sings.
@@lordmuseaI Love Della Reese
I thought this bunghole was the captain? Who driving the boat?
I can never watch this episode of this of The Love Boat. It's to strange.
I haven't seen that many gay waiters since....I ate out in NYC...
I wish they could have done a number like the end there with the original cast of the daytime soap opera Dark Shadows.
I love Ethel Merman, but it is kinda funny to watch. I could picture Beavis and Butthead sitting there watching this on their tv the way they watch videos: Butthead: uh uh Beavis: ummmm ummmm Butthead: ummmm ummmm Beavis: uh uh Butthead: This chick rules! Beavis: Yeah, she rules - she rules!
Ethel Merman is AMAZING!
Thank god for the internet...but I long for the days of no internet, mobile phones....those days made TV like this.
I was frightened for Ann Miller's safety at 1:04. That flaming kabob should NOT be anywhere near all that hairspray.
Are you trying to say 'Dilantin'?
Chattymagpie1210, the songs are You're The Cream In My Coffee/Button Up Your Overcoat they are from the DeSylva, Brown and Henderson musical GOOD NEWS.
I believe that 'You're The Cream in My Coffee' was from the musical 'Hold Everything'.
What's the name of the song that Carol sings?
Perhaps the other way around!!! It's so wondefully gay that will turn prancing, giggling gay men into rabid, butchy straights!!!
The weird early 1980's!!! What an odd and wonderful time!!!
This wasn’t like anything in the 80s. Someone wanted to give the aging divas another chance to show off their stuff and it was pretty unique. As was Love Boat.
Don't be so vulgar, sweetie!!!
Too funny! I work at Agecroft, and if we had "The Stendhal Syndrome" score playing like it is here, even *I* would think the place is creepy! It's a shame the videographer didn't get any good shots of the house itself - it's magnificent!
Talent and class act !
this is fantastic
