Upcycling Thrifted Clothes!
มุมมอง 150K11 หลายเดือนก่อน
I have this bad habit of buying cheap clothes second hand thinking that I can use them for their material, taking them home and washing them, and throwing them in this big pile in the corner of my craft room. Well recently that pile is looking a bit more like a mountain. In this video I am going to actually do something with them! #upcycling #thrift #thriftflip #sewing

Using Fabric Scraps to Make a Hanging Plant Holder

Using Fabric Scraps to Make a Hanging Plant Holder
I think you did a great job! I used to do seamstress work, and I always felt that just making a new garment was so much easier than doing tailoring or remaking of a garment. I am immensely concerned about our landfills being filled with quickly made disposable garments! I myself plan on dragging out my sewing machine, and making a commitment to purchase less and remake more. Our oceans don’t need to be filled with any more junk!
Put some lavender bags in with your sweaters and clothes to prevent moths.
YOU just made me feel SO MUCH BETTER about the 2 mountains of "upcycling" I have in my room!! I love what you did with the last skirt!! Side panels are really 😍 cute.
The pink ombre skirt, red cashmere sweater and the light green linen skirt were a hit in my eyes 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Do you know anything about color analysis? I think you are an autumn.
❤❤❤❤❤
Idea: on skirts or shirts that "pop" open or buckle at the breast, I just sew the opening shut. Just sew next to the buttons like a decorative stitch. Leave the top or bottom button functional so you can pull over hips or shoulders.
I laughed out loud when you said that you didn’t like the sleeve length on the pink striped top. I’m sitting here thinking , hmm, I like that length. Then you said it gave you middle aged vibes. Haha I’m 56. So funny.
You are an inspiration!
Great ideas! You Crack me up too... love the sense of humor.
Really beautiful🥰
You are so clever. Love your videos. Some binge watching coming up.
Love how creative you are. You look so relaxed and confident. You have a playful, fun vibe 🙂
Shocking new but gorgeous hair cut! Lets get sewing. Im making bell bottoms today using skinny jeans.
The red sweater turned out great. The embroidery really made it pop. I just came across this video. Definitely subscribed!
I promise I’m not being a no at all because Lord knows I hate zippers, but we have to remember that darts are what gives a garment shape. Make sure when you start your dart that you run your stitches completely off the same line if that makes any sense.
❤❤❤❤❤❤
The skirt with the frog and pink pocket is gorgeous! 🤩
The flower petal dress is unbelievable!! I love it so much and it’s 🔥 on you!!!
Can’t wait for more makes❤
More up cycling please ❤❤❤
👌👌👌
Well done
Love your up cycle videos! The tired skirt and linen skirts are my favorite because I am also a skirts girl. The sweater embroidery is so beautiful, made the sweater more attractive. More such videos pls!
I made 7 Summer dresses making sure it covers the bra straps. I chose vintage 1950s dress pattern Simplicity 3875 with side zip, ric-rac, big pockets and wide straps. Your choice of tablecloth will look terrific! Robin in NC.
Get rid of that outfit
I love your sense of humor!
I love what you did with the tropical floral dress bodice adding pink fringe to it! You gave it a 1960s sort of vibe, so fun to wear to a party or just to the store. I use my grocery store as my fashion runway HA! It makes my day when someone notices and says they love it! I paint, patch and stencil my jeans. Lets keep sewing! Robin in NC USA 2025
You are terrific at this! You speak beautifully, never say "um" and can explain a project quickly and perfectly so I am proud of what you are doing here. I buy anything with ruffles on them long enough to add bell bottoms to jeans and sell them. People are so delighted when I wear them! Your altered skirts are beautiful. The jacket project is adorable! Subscribed. Robin in NC USA 2025
So the pile isn’t gone? You had me worried there for a minute. I was looking forward to all the projects with that.!😉
This is a great idea. I love skirts too! I think with that peach colored top, I might have put some darts in the back just to make it look a little bit more fitted. I loved everything you did can’t wait to see the rest of the pile!
Helllllo, new friend 🎉
❤❤❤❤❤
Very cute transformations! The extra effort you put into the last dress really elevated it
How exciting for you both! I love the paint work in the bedroom. Thanks for the tour and I hope to see more as you continue to move in.
I’ve really missed your videos. Your ottoman looks great.
Lovely dress❤❤❤
Just discovered your channel and I usually don't care about house tours, but this is the best I have ever seen. I should be asleep, but I must keep watching. Why did you not show the dungeon though??
Thanks, that was fun to watch ❤
New Sub here. Algorithm sent me your 11 month old up cycling clothes video, which piqued my curiosity to see what you did with the rest of "the pile"? New home tour and you hilariously answered that question!😹 Thanks, looking forward to catching up with all your content and the new place congrats.😻

First time I saw your channel. You seem like you have nice ideas. I couldn’t follow though because of the high speed. Maybe I’m more interested in the steps. Like you said go slow through the process!!
Enjoyed watching a video from the eyes of a 'flatlander'; especially someone who doesn't do the touristy thing but enjoys some of our beautiful sights. (Don't be apologetic ...this Mainah doesn't like lobster, either!)
Awesome. I would have enjoyed if you showed how you actually attached the lining of the shacket. Turned out great. Well done
Your New home is a lovely place I hope you soon get your sewing machine and your over locker and a sewing room 😄🎶
Fun to see your new home! A lot of work to make it your own, but that's the fun part! Thanks for making me laugh!
Oh my goodness. I just found you!!! The pile!!! AND I made a flower pot hanger!!! It’s okay to NOT to get rid of things. When you turn 39-40 you might realize, … ahhh to much sh**!!! And then toss it all out out. You’re so creative thanks for sparking my old creative side again. Love love love this creative channel. Thanks lady! You’re awesome.
i love your new home
Thank you for the house tour! It's a beautiful house. When you said your massive pile had gone, i was like WHAT! But then loved seeing it pop up all over the house! Love the ending!
