Now you have gone through. You should wear everything for at least one day, note how they make you feel, this will help you fine tune & will help you style. Also with your separates. you be able to team them with three different items. Then when you go shopping you know what is lacking and what you have too many off. This was fun. 🙂 The first dress, have a look if you can alternate it to fit your size. You should wear your collection of clothes that need to be worn also note why you like them so much and this will develop your style.
Girl! You are the cutest thing ever and I love your style! But dang ……… you do have a TON of clothes 😂 You remind me of myself when I was in my 20’s (I’m 59 now) because I loved color and floral patterns and girly retro fun clothes (I’ve mellowed with age of course). You can totally rock that style because you’re young and super pretty and have an hourglass shape. It’s great to see a confident young woman having fun with her clothes and being so creative ❤ and talented! Keep up the great content 👍👍👍
Beautiful vintage collection. You should definitely keep them as long as you love them (and try to find an occasion to wear them), but perhaps it doesn’t make sense to hang with the clothing you might wear on a day to day basis. I suggest sourcing a nice trunk that can double as a bench in your home to store them in.
I had been cleaning out my closet but I do it in a slow manner by category each week because the last time I was ruthless I had regrets after I realized what I had done.
Had to pause and comment on my reason for wearing the shoulder pads in the 80’s and LOVING them…😍 I was in high school and had wider hips than my top. So they absolutely evened me out shape wise! 😁 (my hubby is from my grad class, so they worked! With the Farrah hair of course 😆)
Fun video! One thing to think about: maybe put some of the stuff you want to keep but won't wear into a hope chest or something like that? That way, they won't be taking up space for clothes you will be wearing and you can get them out once in a while and look them over, like a photo album.
I love it so much that you pitch some items that look fabulous on you, because you have such a strong sense of what your style is and what you enjoy wearing. Great priorities there, and someone is sure to give what you discard a good home.
Fun video! It must have taken a ton of time to try on all these clothes! You look fantastic in dresses or skirts with defined waist. I have a lot less clothes. I turned 50 this year and not wearing anything that doesn’t fit exactly the way I want, doesn’t make me feel great anymore. I got rid of a lot of good but not great pieces. The ones I do have, I wear them on repeat regularly. But when I was in my twenties, I was just you, with so much more clothes. This video reminded me of then.
I,m new here and i love your video about the upcycling thriftclothes. It gives me great idea and yes, i love thriftstores... very addicted to it. I subbed because i'd love to see more of your creative ideas!
That must have taken Forever! Thanks for sharing. It was really cool to see, and nice with the new microphone. I'm also wondering if you'd wear the former wedding dress and another one you mentioned if you dyed them?
The 3rd dress would be great to throw on as a robe in the morning yo drink coffee and make pancakes if you don’t think you want to wear it around town but you so could with a basket bag and sunhat
When you started doing the try-on, I was so excited!! Thought it was just going to be flipping through your clothes. You wear your clothes so well! I really loved "Working Girl" dress on you! You have excellent style and I love that you appreciate quality fabrics like silk and wool! I have way too many wool and silk that I don't wear but can't part with because they are vintage and such good fabrics! Also, I grew up in the shoulder pad era and although I loved them then, I remove them now as I feel my shoulders are too broad for them. Thank you for taking so much time to film such a complete try-on!!!
The shoulder pads work well for apple shaped people, because we need something to help make our shoulders look bigger to help proportion our bodies. You don’t see them anymore.
Yes, I LOVE my wool and silk prices, although it makes me buy more than I should because I usually snatch them up right away when I see them at the thrift store! Glad you enjoyed 🥰
Yes it is socially acceptable to up cycle a bridesmaid's dress. At the end of the day, I'm sure the bride would prefer it were upcycled and worn, than sat in a cupboard somewhere gathering dust
Okay, the very flowering dress that you say you'll never wear, have you thought about upcycling it into a flowy top for over leggings or jeans? Shoulder pad were big when I was growing up. I always used to cut them out immediately because they looked crazy on me. Love your videos!
New subscriber here. Found your channel by your upcycling video. Would like to see more of those types. You seem to have enough clothing to do more. :) Really like the fuller dresses you are keeping. I don't like the snug fitting dresses, they seem maybe a size too small on you. But each their own.
May I respectfully ask you to revisit the 1st green skirt you tried on, all your items appear or are of very good quality, the green skirt in my opinion let itself down. Lovely video and what an amazing variety of clothes you have to choose from.
i not so bad with clothes i got a bit but not a lot i take some clothes to the chraty shops in the uk england i do wear them again i found a red jumper back at home that i have not wear for a long time i just wear it again it feel good amanda from the uk
You look great in those dresses! Of course you can up cycle bridesmaids dresses. Otherwise you probably wouldn’t wear it again?🤷♀️ The dresses you made and up cycled are beautiful! You’re very talented!
The dress that you said was too heavy in time period 18:18 would be great for a quilt. Sew all rows together and add a large border. Start buying very large mens dress shirts made from cotton and start quilting😊
Put the stuff you can't part with but rarely wear somewhere else, not your closet. Then revisit it again in a few months or years. I wouldn't keep stuff if it's mostly because it's cute or you like the brand or the fabric. Somebody else might like it enough to wear it a lot. Also, they don't all look as good on you. The fuller skirts are the most flattering, at least on camera. Not being mean, but thinking you need more criteria for what you are going to keep, because you could go for months without wearing something twice.
You should totally wear that bright floral 70s kaftan from the beginning of the video!
I agree! It is fabulous!!!!

I’ve done that too! Such a bummer when you remember something you wish you hadn’t gotten rid of:/

That makes sense! Omg Farrah hair!!! I love picturing those together!! You sound like you had some amazing style! 🩷

Loved this video! You have so many cute clothes and they look so good on you!
I love your ideas! I would love to see the Easter Skirt made into a quilt
I love it so much that you pitch some items that look fabulous on you, because you have such a strong sense of what your style is and what you enjoy wearing. Great priorities there, and someone is sure to give what you discard a good home.
I try my best to keep only things that I really love wearing!
I would take your patchwork Easter skirt and make 3 separate table runners, one with each tier. Great video! Thank you!

Sounds great! Love the content😃
The one little white top with the tassels would be cute to wear over a plain color sleeveless dress to dress it up. Just a thought.
You have a wonderful dress collection!
omg i just went through my clothes yesterday also. ive never done spring cleaning before but it was NEEDED.
The bridesmaids dress would be a lovely skirt😊. Sorry about the coffee😮

The 3rd piece cud be worn almost anywhere specially a garden party, lounging , even to the beach!!
You have a very eclectic style!

I miss seeing your videos 😢
Come back soon🎉

I see a pattern here...flowing or fitted, not off the rack, patterned, colorful.
Hope you can enjoy all that you've kept
Yes that does sound like me 😂
I love your earrings hanger that's a good idea where you get your earrings from Amanda Perkins from the UK

I really disliked shoulder pads. I'm broad-shouldered anyway, and shoulder pads made me look like a fullback.,
