I think less weight on the bench with full reps would be more effective. Also Controlling the eccentric contraction on all your lifts would be beneficial
@melbournaut I'm just starting with weight training and appreciate good advice. I can press 70kg. However, I lowered it to 60kg because I was only doing half motion. I want strength, not bulk, so I kept it as heavy as I could, hoping that the full motion would follow. Your thoughts on this are welcome 🙏🏻
@@melbournaut Eccentric contaction control? Do you mean correct form, linear movement in one direction (point A to B) ? 😎💪🏻
@@kevvtr concentric: the muscle is shortening Isometric: the muscle is static Eccentric: the muscle is lengthening whilst contracting. You get a lot out of controlling both directions. There is also evidence to suggest that the stretch portion of the rep promotes good growth. For example, when the bar is down at your chest and the pecs are elongated. Having said that whatever you are doing is good. You look pretty healthy so who knows. Keep it up bro
@melbournaut I'm doing OK for 50 😎 I only started doing anything, Sporty in January this year. I chose boxing because I needed something to take my focus and 30-year habit off beer!! I've been training with very talented fighters, all half my age or less. I get beaten every spar, but I won my first actual fight in April... I'm now trying to increase strength. 💪🏻
@kevvtr , they are all great objectives. Good luck with it all. You've chosen a great path. Boxing and resistance training is an awesome combination

@unknownna4924 Thanks for watching 😎 I've only started exercising this January (2024). I'm 50 years old, and I'd been drinking every night since late teens.. I needed something to fill my evening with and to focus me... so I took up boxing! 😳🥊💨💨 I'll post more videos in the following weeks/months as I'm training for my second fight!! 💪🏻

@tonymontana3949 hi Tony 👋🏻 Thank you for watching. These videos are public. However, I'm not intending them to be educational. This is simply my own journey 💖 I'm 50 years old. I've never been a fit or sporty person. In January this year, 2024, I wanted to quit alcohol and get fit. I knew I had to replace the bad habit of drinking beer with a better habit. I trained 5 nights per week, plus 2 mornings, to learn how to box! I dedicated myself to hours of working out, cardio, weights and 4 very painful sparring matches every week, for 4 months!! On the 26th of April, I had my debut Boxing fight... I won!! 💪🏻🥊💨💨 I'm still training. Most of my home exercises are as you see here, the rest I do, without a camera, in the boxing gym. ☯️🙏🏻

It's difficult to get a sense of scale in this video but the holes were too small. My T. apophysis 🕷️ is now two years old, a couple of molts from adult and male 🤣

Hi Douglas, thanks for commenting 👍 This was back in 2013, my first track day. The VTR was 100% original and had done 24,000 miles... I've since done a full nut and bolt restoration and upgrade! The original forks contained their original oil and springs! The left fork tube was slightly bent which really messed up feedback 🤣 The steering head bearings were savagely notchy, and all bearings throughout were as old as the bike. At the rear, the rising rate linkage had two bearings that were totally seised forcing it to pivot on the bolts dry!! Rear shock was original and totally useless... My front brake discs were warped and pulsed through the leaver under load as well as knocking the pads away when not braking...The whole thing was a wreck!! My bike has now enjoyed a full rebuild. Every moving part either replaced with new Honda items or improved via Ohlins, Maxton, EBC and a full stage 2 Mirowaki engine rebuild adding a genuine 20bhp extra at the wheel 😎👍 Next track day booked for the 11th of May 🤞

I have ridden 2 strokes (MT50/MTX 125/200 MBX 125 AND RD LC YPVS 125/250/350 in my learner years in the 80`S I later wanted a more stable and predictable machine and bought a VFR 400FD and a VFR 400RR and owned this machine for over 8 years and loved it and unfortunately OUTGROWN IT. I purchased a cbr 600 f1 and found it`s handling great but performance was not worth the Insurance :( Then I bought a VTR 1000F FIRESTORM and this gave me the butterflies back from my youth, Love the handling and love the unflustered POWER :)

When I drilled the lid I hadn't seen how small the sling was. Within moments of making the video I'd used hot glue and mosquito mesh on the inside to address this ❤️ I have a healthy colony of fruit flies in there and my sling is eating well plus has webbed up most of the bottom of the bark 🤣 My Theraphosa apophysis is amazing and superb at taking down small locust and small Morio worms 😎

Thank you! I'm busy building a huge snake enclosure for our Argentine Boa 😎🐍 Once I've completed this I'll be building two more tarantula Viv's, four foot long, one fairly arid and the other one will be like the Amazon, complete with waterfall ❤️🕷️
