Avoid THIS Mistake: How To Paint GREAT Rocks
I do think you change to the painting made the composition look a little better. On your anatomy of a rectangle method, the red dots look a little closer to the right or left edges than the golden ratio spots you drew. I wonder, is that just a result of hand-drawn approximation or a feature (or am I just seeing it wrong)?
superfluous chatter from all angle's, exhale , step out of its way .. i will sit an listen to this again in the morning ..thank you Vida!!
May you rest well and wake with joy in your heart. You are most welcome. Once in a while I am able to pull the thoughts together, make sense of them and communicate them clearly enough. Unfortunately, it doesn’t happen as much as I’d like.
Brilliant musing this morning, Vida. I love how you bring these thoughts into the creative process, It's refreshing to blend what some might call "alternative "thoght with ego and chakras etc. . It's a new way to experience the creative process that is worthwhile and unique. Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄 and thankyou.❤
A very Merry Christmas to you as well, dear Linda. May your heart and home be filled with laughter, love and light.
Happy Solstice!
Same to you!
Thanks for coming back on. I am wondering where you buy your paints and brushes? I did a little research, and Amazon does not work very well over there. I read that it's better to go on TH-cam only 3x per week to get the best algorithm. You do you. We look forward to your musings.🎉❤
Awe…. Thanks so much 🥰❤️. I buy from an art store in Thessaloniki. There are two good ones I go to. I sometimes order from Amazon and there’s another Amazon type place that works specifically for Greece. No clue about the algorithm. Thanks for letting me know.
I'm so glad you popped back on today... 😀.. I watched your previous video earlier and wanted to send you a message... I just wasn't feeling good well enough to send message... .. it's currently 2 am here and i need to get some sleep so I'll try to message you later on.. big hugs.. ❤❤
I found you thanks to your golden ratio video, but I stayed for the person you are :) It's true though that you might need some sort of material that will answer the searching queries on yt. Good luck!
Well thank you so much! I appreciate you taking the time to leave such a lovely comment. Have a beautiful holiday season 🥰🥰🥰
I really like the lemon challenge, and I really appreciate the musings there is space to reflect which is such a relief . And powerful tool to self expression.there are so many tutorials ..how to instructional and they miss what you give ❤

Hii mam I am 20 years old. I am from Sri lanka Could you please explain more about art auction? Also I need some ideas to sell my artworks in the auction Could you please explain me the procedures to sell my artworks?
You have a beautiful day, on the larger Greek island, dear lady! 🤗
Don’t use any of this!
Hi, beautiful tip. One question though, can linseed oil be mixed with water based primer for the same purpose in case if there's no oil based primer?
Hi! No, linseed oil and water based primer cannot be mixed. If the underlying painting was done in oils then you’ll need to sand back to the canvas or board. You can get the old painting scraped off if you let the turpentine/mineral spirits soak for a while. Keep adding and scraping back with your palette knife till it’s off. Then gesso with your acrylic primer. When dry start your painting.
@vidaevensonart Lovely! Thank you so much.
I've heard numerous "talented" accomplished artists say "Talent" is 90% acquired skill and 10% creativity.. haha ... I love your take in it.. making it accessible to everyone❣️❣️
Hi 👋 👋 ... do you mean talent versus skill? ... Talent being your natural ability of any given interest versus the skill you learn in order to be proficient at any given task? ... If you learn skills in regards to your natural ability or talent .. having both fueled by your creativity?
Yes, skills are the necessary steps to learning how to become proficient in your given talent. The two go together. And yes, creative energy fuels everything ❤️

I think something happened with your upload of this video. There's a lot of dead time at the end. Thanks for the tree study.
I’ve been trying to fix that for two days now. It’s been sent to TH-cam and they say in a few days they’ll fix the problem. For some reason I can’t edit anything in the TH-cam studio.
Thanks, Vida! Your tree is beautiful.
Thank you @DebraofSENC 🥰🥰🥰
Hello Vida 👋 😊... great beginner tutorial!!... Perhaps, at the start... you could tell everyone the colors on your palette and maybe even the brands as well... many people (myself included) really appreciate knowing what pigments you're working with.. ( I'm a pigment junkie)... haha😅😅😅... Thanks in advance❣️❣️
Just added them in the description. Thanks for reminding me 🥰

Hihi...art is often born out of the debris of the last realitys/ realm s....check the beach - after a goode storm the rocks on the beach are stired up - churned - and new pretty rocks are now on top , easy to see ...thanks and bravo
Ohhhhh so very true! What a beautiful metaphor.... thank you once again.
I had read someplace that the basic palette was just where he started and in portraits he found that suggesting the blue was generally enough but was never shy about adding colors. I loved the grayish sky in your painting. It reminded me of home.
I didn't know this! Thank you for sharing. Makes perfect sense to me.
❤
Yes, I'm in Spain and there is black friday here, to my surprise.
It has spread across the western world, I suppose. I wonder if it's now in Asia? Probably.
It's much better! Thank you for this lovely lesson!
You're very welcome!
Iam from the States, And I choose to be in spain this month. As you said in the video, I do enjoy celebrating love with my family, and the food is good. I appreciate your morning musings
and I appreciate you coming here, @merryfergie.... have a beautiful weekend. We will have very bad weather and will probably lose internet tomorrow. Heavy rain, they say.
The usa is so individual, it's true. For this reason, I visit Europe or other countries as much as I can. This month, I'm in spain. My family asked me why? I say, for a social life, To drink coffee in the terraces of plaza. For 2 hour lunches, And to have wine & tapas, In the afternoon.
"To drink coffee in the terraces of plaza. For 2 hour lunches..." YEEESSSS!
She has divided the canvas into quarters! First, in half forming two 'vertical rectangles. Then finding the center (right in the MIDDLE) of each of those rectangles by connecting diametrically opposed corners she has essentially divided each half of the canvas into four vertical rectangles - each one fourth as wide as the initial rectangle (canvas) she started with and these, in half horizontally. When you draw a line from the upper left to the lower right and another from the lower left to the upper right corner the two lines intersect (cross) at the mid-point horizontally and vertically (while dividing the space into four equal triangles BTW). It is NOT "essentially the Rule Of Thirds" as LolaBeM3 wrote 8 months ago - that @vidaevensonart failed to notice. (The rule of thirds is a composition guideline that divides an image into nine (9) equal parts using two horizontal and two vertical lines.) One would expect a 'visual artist' to see the difference between thirds and fourths right off the bat. As well, one might expect such a person to check her measurements before going to the trouble of creating a video presentation absent actual measurements. Her approach may well work, may not work, but closely approximate the correct result or maybe not so much. What she needs is an accurate rule and possibly a set of dividers.
Hi
Morning!
I appreciate you for encouraging us/others. To create a community on yt By attacking people who connect to who we are
You are so needed here ⭐️⭐️⭐️
❤❤❤
Thank you ❤️
I just now came across your channel and this video. Im soooo new and lost in all this info. Would it be possible to start a video from scratch with an image, paint it and fin please? I will now start watching your videos, you might have already done it, so please excuse me if you did already. Love your video and beautiful energy!❤
Thank you so much for your comment. If you are brand new to painting I would suggest that you leave all this Fibonacci golden ratio stuff for later. Find an image, like a lemon, keep it simple and first learn how to paint form. Get a yellow, red and blue and a titanium white. That’s all you need to get started. Keep it simple. I have a video on using items from your home for canvases. Cardboard works great for learning if you don’t want to spend money on canvases. Don’t worry about anything else. And rule #1…. Have FUN 🤩
this reminds me of chess and the knight piece with all available ways to play the next move
I absolutely LOVE this. Thanks so much for the comment. I've always wanted to play chess again and learn it on a deeper level.
what allows you to draw onto your pictures on the computer?
Hello and thanks for the question! I used my iphone to do that. From the control center screen, click on screen record. Then once you are recording your iphone, go to the photos app, open up your photo and click on the edit button (3 lines at the bottom of the image). Then go to the top right and you will see a pen icon. Choose your pen and with your finger you can then begin to draw on your image. Then you'll need to go and click the record button on your control center screen. After you have recorded your screen you can go to iPhotos app and share your video to iMovie or another editing app (I use capcut) and edit out everything you do not need. It's a pretty easy process and works great. Let me know if you have any questions! Happy to help out in any way.
@ oh thank you! How cool is that!
From one Artist to another with silver hair, bravo, bravo great point and I accolade you and encourage younger and any aged person to create a TH-cam channel well done bravo❤❤❤
