DS3 had true combos, not all weapons but at least a couple in almost every CAT had one. Elden Ring for sure is missing the combos, kinda sad actually...

So remastering Horizon is completely unnecessary. Yes, a lot of people liked it, it's also a cool game, but it's not that old that you need new graphics. The 2020 release version also looks very nice. I'm very sad that we'll probably never see a remake

6:20 idk how many people know that. I first played Sekiro and instantly fell in love with FromSoft. When I first heard that AC VI would be their next game, I was instantly turned off. Have always hated Mech games but when I read that Yamamura would be the director I became a lot more interested. After playing and beating AC VI (one of my favorite games of all time) I hope FromSoft lets Yamamura direct more upcoming games and hopefully they threw the bag 💰 at him! Great vid. It took you ten minutes to mention anything about SOTE. And you didn't once mention any one specific thing (bosses areas npc other than igons VA) And the boss difficultly problem because of spirit ashes is a problem not that they are trying to fix but have doubled down on they made bosses like horah loux, malekith and morgot with unintelligible attack patterning aswell as abilities that close the distance far to fast. The boss design in elden ring has been a considerable drop in quality because the devs didn't have the fucking balls to not over tune the bosses and bloat them with fancy shit. Remebrr in ds1 when the final boss of the entire game was just another guy the only difference was that he can input read. Yeah now there are normal enemies littering elden ring that can do that. And then in SOTE bosses got worse many have un dodgeable attacks such has metyr who has a different attacks you can I frame through or block with a shield. Romina can zone off massive areas of the boss arena. Yes the spirits are crutch items. So that's why you should leave them like that. Do make the bosses stupidly aggressive to make up for the fact they could use them and end up just punishing people who don't use them.

How does this apply to remakes/remaster such as Shadow of the Colossus?

The only thing I can think of that i actually hate about pvp is the people that play colosseum use cheese garbage when they get no reward for victory. Some of us don't like projectile spamming and just like a good multiplayer match. It's to the point where when someone starts spamming the screen with rancor skulls, blue elden stars, ashes of war, and other digital feces, i sit there and do nothing because I don't want to waste brain power playing "press circle simulator". What sucks most is again, you don't get anything from colosseum so why would you cheese colosseum fights? Wouldn't you rather create a cool build and run with that? Do you crave attention so bad that you have to use spell/ash spam to win? Please take that goofy goober ass weenie hut junior elementary doo doo diaper "nah I found this build" poo butt ass planet sized trash boulder of a build back to the boondocks where you got it and save some fun for the rest of us

Meh. Any basic market analysis would reveal there’s a huge demande for a BB remake, sequel or remaster…. So ROI is there for sure. Let’s not forget that they would have formsoft make it and any future FromSoft game will benefit from ER’s success

They are probably leaving the BB remake to be an introductory title for the PS6 just as DeS was for the PS5. I don't think Miyazaki/FromSoft wants the IP back since Miyazaki is not interested in sequels, moreso now that he has said he wanta to do something other than "Souls-like". After Horizon, Sony is getting out of IPs to remake that people actually care about and the only one that might be more enticing than Bloodborne would perhaps be Uncharted IMO. Really, what other Sony IP is in the zeitgeist that is not Bloodborne? Things from the PS3 era like InFamous or Resistance have fallen out of memory, Guerrilla is officially done with Killzone and I would say its even a higher risk to bring back PS2 icons like Jak and Daxter or Sly Cooper.

The main reason I want a bloodborne remake on pc is because I’ve recently gotten interested in souls borne games and i want to play bloodborne but i don’t want to buy a ps4 just for one game

Ds3 pvp was terrible back when the game was new. Every invasion was a 3v1 and it was the least fun thing ever. Ds2 remains the only fromsoft game that had good pvp right out of the gate

The thing about thee supernatural ending is that FF 7 remake is more of a sequel than a remake. They kinda assume you know and played the original and those whispers are trying to keep the events faithful to the original and you have to destroy them to break free from fate. If you play the original you can notice that every time the whispers intervene is at a moment you are trying to deviate from the original story.

I really hated playing through the remake. I felt like the enimies died way too fast except for bosses and I felt like all I was doing was walking around 70% of the time. Not to mention how the butchered the story. I just felt like it was inferior to the original in almost every way.

Well I would have agreed with you on the first point if I hadn't seen Demon Souls Remake and Dark Souls Remastered. Also Horizon and Bloodborne are two different genre games. What made [Horizon] successful is that it came with a new concept, which is machines, and it is an easy game compared to the Souls games, but this means that those who tried it once will not want to buy it again (and I am one of them and I liked the game but I no longer have a desire to play it or even buy the dlc or Horizon 2) so it cannot be compared to the Souls fans who will play all Souls games, in addition to the new fans after Elden Ring. I think that the Bloodborne remake will be successful. Also "Last of Us" was an exception because people got attached to the story and the characters and you can't say that about Horizon.

You said it yourself man, you have no attachment to the originals, I do, and I appreciate the remakes more than you could understand. I also revere the original, own several copies and replay it again every 3 to 5 years. Its not nostalgia, its appreciation to the way it looks and plays, as I saw it on my imagination back when it was a limited resource PS1 game. There's nothing wrong with this. On the other hand, remaking Horizon Zero dawn, a ps4 game, that is worthy of debate

What an amazing thoughtful essay, I often forget to like but you sir earned it. Especially loved the part about adult storytelling, such a rare trait these days in all of media. I miss movies like Pulp Fiction, Fight club, Dark Knight. That’s why I never understood the hate TLOU2 got. 25:00 Because purple is usually the dominant color of the early FF/Mana final antagonists/end game bosses (i.e. Thanatos and the Mana (a.k.a. the god/holy) Beast from Secret of Mana, Kefka from FFVI, Lavos's final form from Chrono Trigger, etc.). Something interesting to not here is how "fate" is trying to perserve itself or stay "on course", similar to how the Mana Beast was trying to preserve/restore the flow of Mana after Thanatos incinerated the Mana Tree in Secret of Mana. The whispers don't seem much different, imho. Sephiroth is escalating the destruction of fate here like Thanatos would with Mana with the Mana tree.

The other idea are "the rebels" fighting against the 4 Shintenno vs the Emperor (a far more common Japanese concept, i.e. Pokemon's Elite Four and the Champion). This idea is commonly seen across Square's games for the earlier FF games (FFI and FFIV, for example) and Secret of Mana, etc. This is what FFVII likely inherited with the idea of Avalanche. So, I think it is (I'm not trying to call you out on this) a bit hasty of many fans to look at it through a purely polticial lens rather than the (more likely connotations/influences of popular culture English/Japanese films/cultural ideas) that shaped the role of Avalanche.

In the end you played and talked about remake instead of 10 smaller games, we get to caught up in ideology when talking but when its time to buy, play and make video we dont practice that and point fingers to the devs (justified) and players base (where we forget we are contributing too)

I think the Remake was warranted in this scenario, not to mention fans have been asking for it for 20+ years. You should watch some of the reaction vids and explainers why people were so happy. I think last of us was not a good comparison as the game was good as is, it’s very hard to tell the difference between the original and the remake. A bloodborne remaster would do great because of the new player base that came from Elden Ring . The anemic library for the ps5 would also help it sell.

But your highest lvl character can enjoy 1v1s and 2v2s with taunters tongue, have fight clubs instead of going for full invasion. 2 high level characters fighting can be quite fun...even to watch from the sidelines waiting for your turn. Unleash the full power of basically anything u want. That s why I have a couple low levels (not twinks) 1 meta level and 1 500+ and with the latter I va had the most fun together with a full on max level friend. Strictly fight clubs tho. Basically once you re past 306 (IIRC) you can start meeting maxed up opponents so might as well get all offensive stats to 80 and enough left for vigor, stamina and mind that u won t need more than 2 blue flasks, depending on how much u like heavy spells....

The biggest blunder of ff7r is the whisper harbringer boss fight. If they didnt include that fight, ppl or at least the og fans wouldnt speculate too much abt the plot. By saying that now the team has an opportunity to change the "fate", ppl begun to wonder if the plot would differ from the og ff7 plot.

Worth mentioning that Carian retaliation turns any medium shield parry window into a better Buckler. Golden parry does it at a distance but you pay FPs whether it works or not while CR only charges you for effective parries.

Oh god I knew I should of stopped listening to this crap once you brought up real life shiet in US history. After 11 minutes I couldn't stand to hear anymore. The title should be "I have A LOT To Say About REAL LIFE STUFF FIRST Then Final Fantasy 7 Remake". with the target shield, you dont really have to "predict" when someone will attack you can parry right after you see their arm or weapon move and it will most likely parry

I bought a PS4 shortly after this game was announced, what went from just having not gotten around to buying it yet turned into not wanting it anymore after they announced that only the first game would be on the PS4, I will not buy a PS5, and even if they put it on PC, I will not buy it on a DRM ridden platform.
