Rambling on.
PC hardware enthusiast, Impulse Tracker enjoyer and professional rambler. I upload a variety of things irregularly, most of which is centered around computers and technology.
I believe that the microprocessor and the video camera are the greatest and most important inventions humanity has ever created. The creation of the microprocessor was the catalyst in the creation of all modern technology, and the video camera captures moments in the present for observation in the future - like a time machine of sorts.
All of my videos will never be deleted intentionally as I am against lost media, though some may become unlisted. If you notice a video on my channel seems to be missing, check the playlist section of my channel for the "Old/Unlisted Uploads" playlist. You can either find and watch it there, or visit my Odysee archive page.

Storage Migration - Upgrading the Steam Decks SSD without reinstalling SteamOS
CLONING COMMAND FOR THE STEAMOS KONSOLE:
sudo dd if=/dev/nvme0n1 of=/dev/sda oflag=sync bs=128M status=progress
In this episode, we'll be upgrading the Steam Deck's internal storage without the hassle of reinstalling SteamOS and all your games.
I upgraded my old 64gb model to a respectable 1tb. I can play games without the use of an SD card now!
This was surprisingly a lot easier than I thought. Only took me about an hour to do. The hardest part in my opinion was taking the backplate off, just use a plastic spudger near the top corners and twist.

Attempted Resurrection - Windows 11 running on an 18 year old computer.
มุมมอง 1.8K4 หลายเดือนก่อน
This is the first video in what I'm hoping will bloom into a series. Since this is my first proper video, expect editing mistakes among other things. This one in particular was a gigantic pain in the ass to make due to how ungodly slow the computer was. It's running an ancient Athlon 64 X2 4200 with 1.5gb of DDr2, an NVIDIA Quadro FX-1800 (with no drivers due to Windows 11 dropping support for ...

im your new subbed..keep it bro that cool
@@starboy9706 Thanks
This feels like old toms hardware tutorial vids. Also cool video!
@@sosislikafa8623Thanks. The TH videos from Frank Völkel was the main inspiration for the style of video as I found it simple and easy to follow.
how do you drain the capacitors ?
Just a simple press of the power button when the battery is disconnected.
so sleepy
For old stuff stick to window 7 are so on a dumpster like that
need a compaq iso operating system cd.. love the sr1920nx desktop pc runs great and reliable
The Requirements to run Windows 11 64bit with 4gb of RAM ddr2
Windows 11 64 bit on a Compaq PC
I recommend some lightwight Linux distro
Lol I have this exact machine I found for free on marketplace. Same specs, everything. How tf did youtube recommendations know. I wonder what I should do with it
Make a server lol
try tiny11 i think i read it can run on 512mb of ram
as long as you have at least a dual core and 8GB of memory you should be able to do it.... the board would be the problem though... buss speed is too slow... yes W11 will install and run, but at what cost in performance....
Considering this took a week to make due to how awful Windows ran on AMD's ancient Windsor architecture, its pretty safe to say the cost in performance is anywhere between "gigantic" and "enormous."
I wonder if mine could now thanks
Good to know! Thanks for the vid. Luckily Linux exists to save poor computers like this one from the e-waste heap!
Nice vid! Underrated!
Stop subjecting the world to you're flicker rate . Your welcome for the comment.
You can blame the camera on my TCL 20s. Did you get a new power supply yet?
How you gonna bully dax then make a video like this
This really how you spent your new year 😭

Just 6 weeks ago, I re-installed and activated XP on my Pentium D 2.8GHz machine with Radeon HD 4650 and 3GB RAM. The new SSD gives a nice speed kick! Thank you Legacy Update!

Bro get a new copmputer
Sure thing. Here it is. coppertraceroad.blogspot.com/2023/12/first-post.html
Still good, I can just get a Windows 10 64bit SSD and boot up on these PC seamlessly . They are still very nice for modern office tasks and even light gaming
I love sleeper PCs, building one soon myself!
I still have my 754 athlon 64 3200+ with 2600xt. Crazy how fast those CPUs were in 2004.
same, i have athlon 64 5200+ with gt 1030 as my nas running whs 2011.
They're still usable even today and they have retained compatibility with modern coolers due to their heatspreader design.
Life changing
See you next year!

Why ?
Why not
Thats honestly the only use for old junk systems i could think of. Use their retro cases and put modern hardware in it.
Nice pc
lol
bro actually modded windows instead of using ubuntu and kde. smh
this computer is primarily meant for playing games, which is something that's easier and simpler to do on a pirated copy of windows 10 ltsc.
Not everyone is a Linux user or would ever want to use Linux. Stop forcing people to switch to your mediocre excuse for a server operating system being forced for use on desktops. Also Ubuntu is quite literally the worst Linux distro one could use.
Best PC ever 👌
are you sleepy or something...

Excellent work on making Windows 10 look like XP!!
Nice! I built one of these for my cousin back in the early 10's so it wouldn't get stolen. I used an IBM Aptiva. Somebody broke into his room and stole his Xbox instead.
Clever.
good consoles suck anyway

does the cd and floppy drive work?
That Windows XP theme on Windows 10 looks dope!
This is so dope, I love the case. Is it possible to add a fan for intaking air anywhere, or do you already have one and I missed it? Other than that super dope, and something I think I might also do as well.
