This is such a fact I loved the way you explain because it is very important for us as caregivers to have choices just like any other person. Thank you very much ✌️ 💯
You’re welcome!
Thank you
You’re so welcome! I hope this is helpful.
What steps do I take to become a licensed administrator
In home care there is no “licensed administrator” the agency becomes licensed and designates an administrator and alternate admin.

How do you feel about starting an agency through franchising?
Pros: corporate marketing can make things easier, large and ongoing support system. Cons: profit margins are cut by 7+% because all that marketing and support aren’t free. I’ve known some people to leave franchises due to the lack of control and choices they have over their business.
There was a glitch while submitting and now I have to send in money order.Where do I send my money order please help
I'm an RN in Texas with a Compact license, do I have to get Fingerprints for my Application?
No you don’t. With the info you put in the TULIP application they’ll run your background.
Great Video Candy. I am wondering if a home care agency owner needs to be a US permanent resident?
The owner and administrators must have a social security number. Otherwise, residency is not a factor.
@@SlusherConsulting Thanks for confirming Candy
Thank you for this information. Question: What if I don't have a background in healthcare so I wouldn't qualify for a Licensed Nursing Facility Administrator License? I want to own an agency, do I need to find a nurse that would serve as the Nursing Facility Administrator?
I saw. I look forward to visiting with you. 🙏🏻
Hi!! I'm in Spring, TX and one question that I have is. Do I have to send in policies and procedures when I apply for the license?
You only have to upload the 3 policies they ask for in the TULIP application documents section.
@SlusherConsulting Thanks for responding!! Right now, I have to get my administrator and alternate. I have 2 master's degrees, but not in healthcare!!
@SlusherConsulting Two questions!! Where do I go to find the payment range for my caregivers and payment structure for medicaid and medicare??

Do you know if this is the same for renewals? The same process
Not quite. For renewal, HHS will pre-populate a renewal application for you about 90 days before your license expires. (It will be about 30% incorrect for some reason) and you’ll need to correct and complete the application with required documents, and pay and submit for your renewal 45 days before license expiration.
Thank you so much I really appreciate your time I only wish that you were in Milwaukee WI to guide me through this. Or do you help people other than Texas? Please
I saw that you booked a call. I look forward to visiting with you and helping you in some capacity.
if you love DEI so much then why not replace yourself with a nice little lady from Africa? give everything you own and built away in the name of equity. Prove you're not racist.
cuckoo. Diversity and inclusion are pushed by the likes of Blackrock and not because they care about the latest buzz words. Diversity and inclusion simply mean non White and that's all it's about. And like most women and other weak minded individuals you lap it up because of an innate desire to fit in and virtue signal.
I enjoyed this video..

This is exactly where I’m at. Been nursing for years. BSN nurse but I’m ready to look into opening my own agency.
My question is I was signed up with MHMR Tarrant county that put me through to this hhs agency to work for as a caregiver for my son and to get paid. Can I get the provider's license and still get paid to be my son's care giver
I know that’s a possibility in PAS for adults. I am actually unclear about how that works for MHMR/IDD. But I believe it falls under “self directed care”.
Great video! I am glad I have stumbled upon it. For the past 6 years, I have been under direct consumer services here in Texas. I work with two clients (mother and son). Basically, a company pays me my checks although the mom and son are technically my bosses. One of them is under PAS and the other STARRPLUS. Starting a company has always been an idea. I believe the company paying me is basically the middle man? If I started my own home care agency, would I be like that company (the middle man)? My clients have told me to go for it and they would still remain my clients.
If you’d like help, please Book a Free 20 min Call with me here www.slusherconsulting.com/book-online
Your situation is called Consumer Directed Services. Yes the company paying you is just the middle man. Yes you can open your own PAS Agency and keep them as clients. But there is an overhead cost for it, licensing and billing, etc. let’s talk.

Can you use a admin software in the HomeCare field if you can’t get two people right away .

VA contracts? I was told we no longer needed VA contracts. Also, is the VA still slow on their reimbursement? Thank you for this channel. ❤
I’ve not heard about “not needing a contract”, if a someone is awarded home care hours through the VA, only contracted providers are able to bill the VA directly for that care. Yes, they can be slow. Look into Paradigm to help with billing and credentialing for VA.
@@SlusherConsulting Thank you, I'll definitely look into it. I could've sworn I remembered the VA having a meeting at their Bonham location ~3wks prior to PDGM where they stated agencies no longer needed to be contracted. I know it wasn't one of Jamie Fallon's emails. Perhaps I'm confusing this with a patient/clients right to a third party provider or Medicare. Anyways, again, thanks for the insight.
