Wow this was very easy to follow! I was wondering if there was like a small Video generation AI able to run on the raspberry pi and if you could make a video about it
VMware Fusion cannot find the virtual disk "/Users/prathameshkusalkar/Virtual Machines.localized/Windows 11 64-bit Arm.vmwarevm/Virtual Disk.vmdk". i am getting this
Thanks this helped me run Linux on metal and Windows in a VM. Appreciate the clear concise instructions.
It doesn't show any vmware fusion pro for personal use in my case
It may be because since this video was published Broadcom have changed the licence again, VMware fusion is now free for everybody and not just personal use. So you *should* be able to select the 'normal' version now. Hope that helps.
Thank you so much! Your the best. I been struggling with this forever and you solve my issue I can't thank you enough
OMG! It worked, thank you so much!
Thanks Lady!
Have you ever run into an EFI network time out?
Do you mean while network booting a VM? If you do you may need to use a bridged network (in the VMware Fusion settings)
@LadyTechTalks I actually figured it out, and it was just that I wasn't pressing "any key" fast enough during the initial boot up and it timed out I guess.
Thank You!
Thank you!!! Got it working now!! I tried with virtual box and it wouldn’t work and I tried gnome boxes and was ready to admit defeat until I found this video! Thank you
Glad it helped. 😁
Thanks for taking the time and effort of making this video and sharing Your knowledge, and I found the videos instructions very clear and approachable. Are You possibly considering "expanding on this subject" ? As I could well see that many that like me get "caught" by this video, would be interested in "enhancing/deepening" both our abilities and capabilities in this "realm". And being "complete newbies" I think that Your type of clear, approachable but still "actionable" tutorials would be well received and highly appreciated. Best regards.
Thank you for this lovely comment, and thanks for the tip. AI and Machine Learning are really interesting to me so I think I will probably make more videos like this covering other areas of AI/ML.😁
I have a Pi5 sitting on the shelf I wasn't using and this looks like a fun little project to play around with. Thanks for the video!
This is a fun thing to do with a spare Pi5, it surprised me how well it actually worked and the quality of the images is great.

Thank you very much, everything worked.❤
You're welcome! 😁
Thanks, I was confused about the process of doing all of this.
Very helpful, I followed the directions and was quickly able get a VM installed on my Fedora machine! Thank you 🙏
Glad it helped!
Worked perfectly, thank you!
This was very helpful!
Thanks, glad it helped.
very usefully the short tutorial thanks
Thanks for the video.
It says this pc doesn't meet system requirements maybe i should switch firmware to UEFI from Bios
Lol, just responded to your previous comment and seen this. Yes switch to UEFI😁
@@LadyTechTalks I am not even sure what I am on but I got it the only thing is the screen size is like my laptop not my monitor lol Oh and I could not get on without my microsoft acct but I got it with my microsoft account but i do not have to sign in. My head is still spinning this morning more tweaking here and there but thanks for the great video I may try again to get it without my microsoft account. Is there a way to have it full screen like Virtualbox I had that a couple of years ago and I could get full screen ?
@@kevinDesRoches-vq1xe Sounds like great progress. Unfortunately Microsoft have made it more difficult to bypass using a Microsoft account. As for better graphics (or full screen) you may want to install the VirtIO drivers for Windows - this should help.
When creating a new machine I have a tray saying firmware uefi or bios it is on Bios so I guess I will try that
For Windows 11 it should be set to UEFI, I don't think Windows 11 works in Bios mode.
@@LadyTechTalksLOL I will try and have a look to see but I think I went with Bios in the end not sure I was pretty tired,But I will get back to you if it's ok with you ?
@@kevinDesRoches-vq1xe yeah sure let me know how you get on 😁
Darn it I frigged up on the last Bypass I will try tomorrow but I know I will get it let you know when lol Gained a subscriber anyway .It is downloading but I know it will be flawed I hope it is not hard to delete
Thanks for the sub, hope it goes well. Do let me know how you get on.
I am not great in the registry editor at all, how do you get rid of New Value#1 to type in BypassCPUCheck I am stumped ?
LOL I got it, so far I am not techie at all
@@kevinDesRoches-vq1xe sounds like your doing great with it
But why Camera on off option is Missing in interface options???
On newer versions of Raspberry Pi OS the camera is enabled by default. Hope this helps.
Good job thank you
it takes me to another website called Broadcom .....Idk if thats normal
Is there any to have the product key for free? I clicked on Vnware Fusion 13 trial, but it always asks for the product key :)
The product is available for free yes. Since broadcom purchased VMware you have to goto broadcom now to get a free licence key. Hope that helps!
im on Ubuntu 22.04.4 LTS , and trying to install vmware workstation 17.5.2 , have been through lot of fixing kernel error . your approach took me to close but still i ran into same error. what could be problem here ?
This fix does only work on Ubuntu 23.10 unfortunately and VMware player is NOT supported on later versions of Ubuntu. I've personally moved to using VirtualBox, very simple install on Ubuntu: th-cam.com/video/9rIFUzhMlF8/w-d-xo.html
How loud is the fan?
The built in case fan is not very loud at all, I haven’t measured it so this is just my opinion. I would say the fan on the active cooler is louder than the case fan though. That said the active cooler does seem to provide more cooling.
Not working for me, using Ubuntu 24.04.1 LTS and WS - 17.5.1
This fix only works for 23.10 and sadly Broadcom does not support workstation player on Ubuntu 24.04. I have personally switched over to using Virtualbox, its an easy install on Ubuntu: th-cam.com/video/9rIFUzhMlF8/w-d-xo.html
Excellent RPi5 information. The RPi5 should run OpenCV a little better than the RPi4. Thank you.
Absolutely it should, haven't used the PI 5 for this. I have been playing with the Coral USB device though, gives some great results also.
Is there an updated version to install the VMware Fusion player, as the website has updated?
Not currently, but I am planning on doing one in the next couple of weeks.
Hello, I have now tried this with 22.04 23.04 and 24.04 and VMware version 17.0.2 but it does not work. I have done all the steps but when I click on ‘install’ (on the dialogue 5:09) I still get the error and VMware does not start. Can you help me?
Hello, this fix only works with the specific versions in the video, additionally Broadcom no longer supports vmware player on newer ubuntu either. They now offer a supported version of VMware Workstation for free on the latest Ubuntu. I have personally moved onto using VirtualBox and can highly recommend that: th-cam.com/video/9rIFUzhMlF8/w-d-xo.html
Excellent Orange Pi5 overview video. Do you have a video on the Orange Pi5 GPIOs. The PWM servo motor control and the I2C pins are very interesting. 🦖 Thank you.
Thanks, I don't have a video on this currently, the Orange PI certainly is a very interesting board that in some areas really excels over the Raspberry PI. Again thank you for the lovely comment.
Is there any way of enabling hibernation ? , I searched about it online and people said we can't because of a bug
I have seen a few post regarding issues with certain motherboards and hopefully some of this is fixed with the next point release (due 29th August 2024). However a common issue is not having a SWAP area, so that is worth checking.
Nice video, I never knew Ubuntu had an upgrade tool. Nice to know this.
Very well done ma'am, thank you for your hard work. Very good video.
I hope you can assist me with this issue.... I have installed mint on my windows system, however I can't seem to get my mint system to see the windows system in VB. I have made the essential changes in VB created system setup for my Mint, however, it wont seem to allocate a shared file so I can transfer data between. Can you assist with this?
I have found the shared folders function doesn't work sometimes. The usual cause is not having the 'VirtualBox guest additions' installed and running in your VM. Another option is to use a USB stick that you can attach directly to your VM and then back to your host workstation. Hope this helps.
Good video, explains well why it is important to update and how to.
I am new to the Raspberry Pi. Would you think of doing a video about Samba, or how to network a Raspberry Pi to a Windows machine. Or to get each to see the other's NAS drives. Hope I am not asking for too much.
This is an interesting idea, thanks for the suggestion - I will see what I can do.
One more suggestion, do you think it is worthwhile to do a video on how to edit command lines with arrow keys? So much is done in Linux with command line.
The command line is very useful, and I would like to do more on the subject - again thanks for the suggestion 😁
Thanks my lady.... Subscribed.... God bless your efforts...
Thanks for subscribing!😁
theirs guides online that use OVMF and swtpm to enable secure boot/TPM for virtual machines, instead of doing the bypass method
How can I receive the license, please? When I click on "Get a Free License Key", the website doesn't work.
Unfortunately the link on the VMware site no longer works and you have to get it from Broadcom now.
This is merely the easy part. I spent hours in figuring out how to remotely connect to the VM via spice. GNOME Boxes has so few options.
GNOME Boxes is simple application and doesn't have lots of options, however you can install virt manager and get more control over the VM's created in GNOME Boxes. Another idea maybe to use VirtualBox instead. If you install the additional tools then you can use the built in RDP server to access your VM: th-cam.com/video/9rIFUzhMlF8/w-d-xo.html
Darn it! I knew there were extra few registry keys that were missing!!! >:T Thank you so much!
You're welcome!!
You saved me a lot of struggle and lifetime! I had a smooth install! 🙏
Im so glad this helped, Gnome Boxes is an excellent tool for experimenting with Linux VM's
Good guide, but Microsoft made it so that it takes you back to the "Sign in with a Microsoft Account" screen after failing it. So, all you have to do is Shift + F10, type in: OOBE\BYPASSNRO Then the PC reboots, then press Shift + F10 again, and type in: ipconfig /release Then close the Command Prompt. Doing all of that, you'll be able to select "I don't have internet" and set it up without a Microsoft account.
Can youbtest with ai hat?
I don't have an AI hat, I do have a USB3 TPU though. However My TPU at least is very low memory and not quite good enough for these models.
