Haven’t heard this song in decades! It should be played on the radio!! Beautiful sweet song! What a voice David Clayton Thomas!
Must be listened to live..thanks
David Clayton Thomas - Never got the fame , praise in the late 60's -70's . Soulful , bluesy , powerful vocals are legendary. God bless the Child - Masterpiece Bravo ❤🎷🏆
DCT, you're the one! I heard this on an oldies radio station today. Not the 1st time I've heard it, but today it seemed even more beautiful than before. So I looked it up on here and found this great vid. Outstanding song, singer, and how about that band?! They could teach some of the so-called "stars" of today a thing or two!
Creat group... We Will never listen such exellent songs like these...
WHAT A GREAT THING IN SUCH A SAD TIME AND GREAT GUITAR WORK ....SUCH A GREAT SONG
Wayne was a neighbor in the 1990s and I had no idea of his amazing talent until after his death. Thanks to these videos he lives on in the world of music
😅
Very ...very nice !
This kind of talent doesn't ever get Old!! You're The One DCT
Blood Sweat & Tears have always been my favourite band right through the years.Wojciech, Poznań.
♥♥♥
Ótimo vídeo - Parabéns
Beautiful voice!!
BS&T first album with David CT (1969)...one of my all time faves. Amazing tunes; great musicianship; great solos; David's voice perfectly suited to this band. Incidentally, Bobby Colomby (great drummer) left NYC and BST and moved to LA and became a very good record producer. VIVA Blood Sweat & Tears ! Thank you DCT
Vosotros sí sois The One, the Best, etc.
Cool - The great Mic Gillette (TOP) on Flugel Horn and Trombone. Nice tenor solo too!
This is one of my mom's favorite songs! I'm so glad I found it !
Still miss that great voice
Awesome song that just seems to get better with time.
Good, but IMHO nowhere near as good as the version on the blood sweat and tears live cd
Except for Mic Gillette on trumpet, this is the same band as the Live album. I was the FOH engineer on both occasions and I can attest to the fact that every time they played Spanish Wine, it was different.
Underrated song. Should have been a hit.
I have loved this song for over 40 years!! I have been to Jamaica, loved this reggae ending. I read his autobiography. So many of that period struggled with drugs, and the hardships that come with being in the entertainment industry
We need a DVD release of this.
It is out on DVD. Good luck finding it.

This is 'our song'. 44 years later.
Yes.....David Clayton Thomas. From a proud Canadian fan forever. Right up there with David Foster, who claims it to be his most favorite BST songs. 🇨🇦🌞👍
Talented player of course, but the intro and the outro with the harmonics is total Jaco Pastorius rip off. Jaco hated the fact that other bassplayers stole his ideas and built their careers on it :( I do like the slap part though, at least he has some ideas of his own in that section.
can have this dance with you darling
ooooohhhhhyes
I can never be sure, but I think I saw him with BST around 1975. I DO remember and unreal bass solo, harmonics, bends, feedback. Wish I had a better video in my mind :(
No. Wayne joined the group around 1980
You probably saw the great Jaco Pastorius !!! Congratulations
Wow! Ending lyrics politically incorrect for 2020, but these boys can flat-out play the (jazz) blues... we already knew that. Thanks for the post!
The guy has a great voice!
YOU"RE THE ONE was my wedding song back on May 15, 1977. The song still stands the test of time as the words are so powerfully pertinent. David Clayton's voice is class A with a lot of soul. And the sax is boss !
@Alfred Sonny Piccoli It was my song too! So beautiful and the words meant so much to me.
EXPLOSIVO, intenso, virtuoso, atmosférico, Master¡¡¡
What a Voice DCT! I l like hes voice even more than I like Terry Cats!
Good god Zloy, Terry Kath.
Woooooo ooooooo oooooooo
Wayne...!!!! RIP my Friend....See you at the jam in heaven....
WOW👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Just read DCT’s autobiography. OMG it’s amazing you survived. God Bless you David.
Yep, one bad juvenile in Canada .. !
Where did you get the book?
